Febrie

[ACSRS: Febri]

"Mikoto Misaka?" The little girl had said her name.

Misaka was the first to respond "What, me?"

Saten stood from where she had been crouched to talk to Febrie at eye level and looked at Misaka questioningly "So, umm, is this little girl somebody you might have actually met before?"

"No not that I can remember." Misaka answered slowly, still searching her brain for the girl's face.

"A distant relative or something?" Uiharu suggested. "Any half-sister's you never told us about?" Kuroko asked.

Misaka just had a strange smile at the last question that Joule knew about, since it was unlikely to be a family member at this point Joule put forth her own guess before Kuroko took the smile the wrong way "Could she be related to someone you know, they could have told her about you?"

Misaka thought about it for a moment "I don't really recognise her features from anyone I know," she paused for a moment before continuing "Well she looks a little like you and Genki but you seem to not know her either."

Misaka thought for a moment before crouching down to talk to Febrie as Saten had done "Hi, I'm Mikoto Misaka. I'm just wondering how you know my name?"

Febrie broke eye contact and looked to the side, she quickly got up to hide behind Saten. There was a moment of silence as Kuroko suppressed a laugh before Uiharu spoke "They say children have a sixth sense about things like this. Which people are safe and which are more dangerous."

Misaka stood up before it looked like a sudden thought had crossed her mind. Her face now looked more confident as she dug around in her pocket, after a moment she stopped having found what she was looking for and she spoke with the same confidence on her face "Maybe, but she hasn't seen this yet!" In her hand was a small frog toy, a finger puppet.

As the others discussed how she had gotten it Misaka took a metal pin out of another pocket and stuck it inside the toy. She then placed it on her palm which she held out to show Febrie. With a small jolt of electricity the toy stood up. Febrie was astonished.

Misaka continued to use her power to make the little toy dance around. Meanwhile with her other hand she covered her mouth. Putting on a voice she started to speak as the toy "Yo, my name is Gekota." Febrie was so in awe you could see sparkles in her eyes. Misaka was distracted for a moment as they reminded her of someone she disliked but she kept going with the act "Your name is Febrie right? Maybe you can tell me something Febrie. I would-" At that moment, Febrie grabbed the toy out of Misaka's palm and began to run away.

There was a moment of silence before Misaka got up in a panic "You only have a one in twenty four chance of getting a pink Gekota". Kuroko sighed "Are you really going to make a spectacle of yourself over a lousy finger puppet?"

Kuroko teleported Febrie right back to beside them using a quick two jumps. Misaka bent over to look at the little girl "Hey, come on now Febrie, you can't just run off with someone else's-" she cut herself off when Febrie ran to hide behind Saten again.

Uiharu said something then about how "That is so cute." Kuroko summed it up well "It's pretty obvious who she trusts the most."

Saten glanced behind her back where Febrie hid "You know, that Gekota isn't yours, it belongs to Misaka. Why don't we give it back?"

Febrie defiantly spoke "No! It's my Gekota!" She began to tear up. Saten turned back to Misaka and spoke apologetically "Well, I tried."

Misaka too looked on the edge of tearing up while Kuroko just sighed.

[ACSR: Chiisana Nozomi]

They decided just to see if anyone had put out a lost child call to Judgement.

It was getting dark out now but Uiharu called Konori to see if she could check the records. However as far as Konori could see there were no reports of Febrie under lost children or missing persons.

It was late enough in the day that Konori couldn't get in touch with someone from anti-skill to help them. Saten then suggested that she take Febrie for the night.

Saten was at the time she suggested that, carrying Febrie on her back. Febrie was flush and seemingly asleep.

With a quick discussion, Uiharu agreed to help Saten take care of Febrie.

[ACSR: Judgement no Katsudou]

The next day, everyone met up at the Judgement office Uiharu and Kuroko work at. GV didn't come but Joule had told him about what was going on so she suspected he would look into it while he looked into the dark side of the city.

When she had come, Saten had almost played a prank on her using a lollipop that she had found in Febrie's bag. Only a look at Uiharu shaking her head warned her away. Later however Saten managed to get Konori to fall for it though.

Misaka was also disappointed as now it seemed that Febrie trusted all of them while still distrusting her. Behind Saten was still her favorite hiding place.

Uiharu reported that the databases on lost children or missing persons both lacked a report on her, even after inputting her data, Kuroko pointed out the logical outcome "So Little Febrie might be a child error then?"

As the team mentally digested that, the door opened and Haruue came in with a bag in her hands, she was apparently settled in after the move so she had stopped by to say hello.

While Febrie slept, Uiharu explained their suspicions about Febrie to Haruue. Konori spoke softly "I guess we will have to wait until someone from an institution can come to get her."

Haruue spoke just as softly "I hope she gets into a good one."

Misaka started asking "There are good ones and bad ones?" before cutting herself off, remembering Banri and how that institution had intentionally driven them into comas.

Saten asked if they got to chose what sort of one she went to so they could avoid the bad ones. At that thought, Misaka pulled out a phone saying "We know who we could ask." At the same moment Kuroko made the same connection.

Misaka called someone and almost everyone realised what they meant, the Tokiwadai Dorm Supervisor volunteered at a child error facility that they knew was good.

The only downside was that it would take five days for them to be ready to take her in. In short order everyone offered to watch over her during that time.

Around this time, Febrie woke up with flushed cheeks. Saten told her about the arrangements which excited her.

Honestly no real deviation from this arc yet.
