Examining the site

[[ACSR: Tokiwadai Chuugakkou]]

The members of Judgement needed to do an on-site security meeting for a Academic Assembly in five days, Haruue decided to leave but everyone else set off together (Bringing Febrie with them) via train. The non-judgement members wouldn't be allowed in but they could wait outside an keep Febrie entertained.

While she sat on the train, Joule watched Misaka's expression. Even if she wasn't able to read minds without a song, she was fairly sure that Misaka was annoyed that Febrie trusted everyone except her.

After the train ride they made their way to the site that Kuroko, Uiharu and Konori would be doing the security meeting at.

Saten looked around and commented "Is this really where they are holding the Academic Assembly, because that's kind of surprising."

Kuroko explained "Yes, but there are more sites too."

Saten nodded but continued "It's just that this place is sort of... sad and uninviting?"

This time it was Konori who explained "The focus of the Academic Assembly is academic rigor, prioritising pure research over esper abilities. The result is an understandable lack of glitz and glamour."

Uiharu then summed it up "It tends to get pretty nerdy."

Saten nodded "That makes sense."

"You sound like you're really disappointed about this, what were you expecting the assembly to be like?" Kuroko asked.

Saten smiled and rubbed the back of her head "Oh, well, you know, something with street stalls and lots of events, everyone working together to get it all set up, that sort of thing."

"So that's why you came along?" Konori asked with a smile.

"From what I have read the Daihasei Festival is only about a month away Saten. Isn't that enough festival for you?" Joule innocently asked.

"It's not just that," Saten started "If it had been like that it would have been a good way to keep Febrie amused. Right?" The last question was directed at Febrie herself who parroted "Right!" back to her happily.

To Joule it looked like Misaka was blushing for some reason, likely to do with Febrie.

As they continued walking they heard a familiar voice "My, look who we ran into, isn't that Misaka?" They glanced over to see Kongou and her friends who gave them smiles.

"Oh hey, it's Kongou." Misaka stated, Saten was more happy in her own greetings as the rest of them (Minus Kuroko and Misaka who were still standing to the side) walked over to talk to her.

After a few moments, Kongou saw the two that were to the side and wondered over to them and Kuroko walked back to the rest of them where Kongou's friends were introducing themselves to Febrie.

Misaka continued talking to Kongou for a bit before being called back over, Kongou was quiet taken with Febrie's cuteness. Judging by Kongou's reaction to Febrie introducing herself she was in heaven. Meanwhile Misaka looked to be getting actually envious of how Febrie liked everyone except her.

As Kongou and her friends got ready to go, Kongou remembered something and turned to Saten "How far are you through the book?"

Saten checked her bag where she pulled out the origami book that Kongou had lent her to practice moving with air, Saten checked her bookmark before looking back to Kongou and saying "About three quaters, I think."

Kongou nodded "I'll try and find you a new book before your done with the current one, not origami again but something new." She closed her eyes and smiled "Only the best for my student."

Kongou's group left as Saten put the book back in her bag. The members of Judgement then picked this moment to be the one where they leave for the meeting.

"Sounds good, We'll just have a look around the area." Misaka spoke before clenching her fist in front of her face. She really wasn't good at hiding her thoughts, Joule guessed it was something along the lines of "This will be a good chance to bond with Febrie" or something like that.

Misaka glanced at Saten who noticed and smiled before speaking to Konori "Hey before you go, can you tell me where the bathroom is?"

Uiharu started "Well it's," Before noticing Saten's smile and Misaka's expression and continuing "how about I just take you there?"

Saten smiled as she spoke "Yeah, if you don't mind, Joule want to come as well?"

Joule was going to say she didn't need the bathroom now but she guessed what the others were doing so she said "Sure, let's go."

Febrie looked worried but Saten assured her it would only take a minute or two and placed her hand in Misaka's and advised her to wait with "Big sister Mikoto".

As she stood up, she whispered something, likely the plan, into Misaka's ear before everyone left.

Joule was still worried but Lumen spoke quietly to her "I'll keep an eye on them for you." Joule dropped behind the others, acting like she was moving her hair clips to give Lumen a chance to leave. She used her other hairpin quickly to change her hair to a style that made sense with only one clip.

They headed to the bathroom where Joule just washed her hands. It seemed however that Saten had actually needed to go so while the members of Judgement moved on, she waited outside.

Once Saten left the bathroom, Joule asked her "So should we go back now? How long did you want to give them?"

Saten gave a mischievous smile "Oh, I don't know. We could say we lost something and were looking for a few minutes."

As she said that searched her pockets but seemingly didn't find anything worth "Losing" so she looked over to Joule with a raised eyebrow.

Joule checked her own pockets to no avail. A spair hair tie, some spare change, a pocket notebook and pocket pencil she was using to jot down new song ideas. Nothing that would have her and Saten search for if it was lost.

It was then Lumen pushed a message through their link "Misaka and Febrie got split up, I'm with Febrie now."

As Joule got it, Saten could likely read it on her face that something had happened "What is it?" she asked.

Joule decided to simplify the message "I think Febrie is in trouble, let's head back now."
