The results

[ACSRS: Osanai Hi no Omoide]

Joule, Misaka and Saten sat in silence. Febrie was having a check-up after she collapsed. Uiharu had stayed behind to tell Anti-skill what had happened and to hand over the container that the others had found.

Kuroko still wasn't back. Misaka was trying not to show it but that fact bothered her. Joule and Saten were worried for her two but they were still confident she would make it back.

Misaka's phone rang, she quickly checked the caller ID and sighed before standing up to look out the dark window as she answered the call "Hello Uiharu, do you have news?"

There was silence for a few moments before Misaka nodded "Right, yes, okay." A few moments more passed before she said "Bye." and ended the call.

Saten tilted her head and Misaka told her "Uiharu said she is on her way, Kuroko still hasn't shown up."

There was silence for a moment.

Saten turned towards the door that Febrie was within and spoke quietly "It didn't look like she was injured, she'll be okay. Won't she?"

Joule shook her head "Depends on what caused it, she seemed to have a fever didn't she?"

Misaka sat down with them and sighed "I think the waiting is the worst part of this. We don't know if she will be okay." she slipped the finger puppet onto herself and spoke while looking at it "She'll wake up and it will be fine." her expression looked unsure but when she looked directly at Joule and Saten she winked, putting up a sense of confidence.

The door opened and Febrie was wheeled out by two people, one on each end of the bed.

"Febrie!" Misaka called out and the three friends stood up to look at her, Misaka looked to the doctor "Please, what is wrong with her?"

The doctor looked mournful "Her fever hasn't gone down and she hasn't regained consciousness." His expression became more pained "I don't know why her condition is worsening. I'm stumped."

Joule looked down at Febrie's flushed face, she must be in a lot of pain right now. The doctor probably gave her some form of painkiller but still...

The doctor shook his head "There is nothing more we can do for her here. We are moving her to another hospital."

Saten slowly spoke "Okay, she won't worsen with transport right?"

The doctor shook his head "She shouldn't any faster than she already is."

Misaka resolved herself and opened Febrie's hand and placed the finger puppet in her palm. She spoke to Febrie even though it was likely that she was unable to hear her "This is yours now, keep it close to you."

Very slightly, Febrie's hands curled. She had heard her.

Quickly the doctor an his assistant wheeled Febrie away to the ambulance that would take her to the other hospital.

The three of them were brought by car to the other hospital and they sat down in the waiting room that Febrie's room was attached to.

"It's taking a while isn't it?" Saten spoke softly but she continued with a different question "What was that thing we saw? If it hadn't shown up, would she be okay?"

Joule saw Misaka look at her hands in shock so she assumed Misaka was blaming herself.

"Misaka, don't take all the responsibility." Joule spoke softly bu Saten glanced over.

"What do you mean?" Misaka spoke with a slightly shaky voice.

"I mean for Febrie, I don't know what thought crossed your mind but this is one instance where you hold none of the responsibility for this."

Misaka didn't say anything for a moment but Saten asked "one instance? What do you mean Joule?"

Joule didn't say anything more, she was thinking about the past few weeks and what GV had told her about Misaka's sisters. Misaka probably got her meaning though.

"Saten, Misaka, Joule." Uiharu ran up to them followed by Kongou.

The three friends stood up to meet them and Misaka spoke "Oh hey, I'm glad you're here." Her expression dropped when she saw it was only those two "Is Kuroko still not back?"

Uiharu shook her head sadly "I sent her a message that this hospital was where we would meet up but if you haven't seen her then she is still missing."

There was silence for a moment before Uiharu asked "How's Febrie doing?"

Saten looked down sadly "Sorry, we don't know."

"Any news?" Misaka asked hopefully

Uiharu spoke clearly "Anti-skill has taken over the investigation and the only real lead we have it the container. They are having the two containers sent to a lab to see what it really is inside them but this is being treated as MEA case."

At the confused look on their faces she quickly explained "Mystery Esper Assault, they think that the containers were somehow used by an esper to control the suits even without a power source."

Kongou walked up covering her face with her fan "I think there is more." Uiharu looked surprised as if she had forgotten Kongou was following her.

Kongou began to tell a story of how she and her friends had seen a mystery person near the Academic Assembly that had spoken unkindly to her. Later she overheard him talking on a phone about being "unable to retrieve Febrie." they had been forced to hide in some bushes to avoid him seeing them but he seemed to be a researcher of some sort.

Kongou then talked about how she had tried to call them about it but she had been unable to reach any of them. Kongou's phone rang as she explained how she and her friends had split up to find them.

She walked off to take the call which seemed to be with her friends, she assured them that all was fine now. After the call she turned to leave "I must meet up with my friends, I would stay if I could so please keep me informed of any changes to Febrie."

Saten nodded "I'll call if anything comes up."

Kongou nodded and left.

Uiharu mumbled to herself, Joule didn't catch it but Misaka did and replied "Yeah, but why?"

Seeing that the others hadn't heard, Uiharu looked up and repeated herself "It seems Febrie is a target of this group." she then continued further "Possibly the same group behind the two attacks."

Saten muttered with contained anger "They are really cold, acting as if she is just some thing."

Joule looked over at Misaka when saten said that idea, Misaka's face tightened. She was likely thinking about her sisters.

On the way up, Uiharu got a text. When she saw it she sighed in relief.

"It's from Kuroko, apparently she followed the truck for some way but they lost her, she was able to find them again but looking back on it she thinks it was likely a different truck that was made to look identical to the first. She managed to reach it but it was fully automated as there was no one inside it. It also had traps so she is currently bandaging herself up."

They all sighed, even if Kuroko didn't find anything they were just happy to hear she was alive.

The friends sat down on a sofa but they were exhausted by this point so one by one they fell asleep.

My god, episode 20 still isn't finished. Next week I will do the last bits of EP20 and (Hopefully) the first half of 21

Also I was going to have Kuroko learn something important but I couldn't think of anything that wouldn't suddenly skip some story. If they figure everything out too soon, the final conflict loses some of it's stakes.
