Casey was happily exploring Half-world with her friend, Crystal while Ranger, Riley and Rocket were hanging out with their mom when they heard singing makimg them curious, finding a bager-cub surrounded by other cubs and Half-worlder kids that were teasing the musical cub which made her think of when her uncle was her age, being picked on.
"I got this, Crystal, you know?" Casey said.
She fcused, activating her cloakimg-power makimg Crystal giggle, seeimg those kids run off, makimg the badger-cub curious seeing the female kit appear outof nowhere, impressing him more than scaring him makimg Casey smile hugging him gently trying not to hurt him, using her super-strength power.
"I'm Casey Raccoon, you are?" she said to him.
"L-Luca Badger and thanks, those kids always are mean to me, being a runt, because I like music." he said makimg her understand explaining that her uncle Rocket was picked on growing up, yet he turned out awesome, impressing him makimg her and Crystal agree knowing Luca was shy, which she and Crystal could relate to, seeing Rocket joining them.
"Yeah, your grandma told us about him, he should come with us, as he's lonely, plus it's good you have a friend that's from here." he said to her makimg Luca stunned but shy, like all badgers, even sentient ones makimg Casey smile, because she wanted to help him like her uncle and parents with her, knowing they were leaving later helping him pack what he wanted to take with him, making Ranger chuckle, because it was like Rocket with Lylla.
"Yeah, I can see it, but we should leave them be to bond." Rocket said.
Later that afternoon, they were getting into the Milano making Luca impressed, buckling his seat-belt feeling a bit anxious feelimg Casey squeeze his paw gently remembering her first time in a spaceship when Rocket brought them to Earth, makimg Crystal smile, knowing her friend was being sweet, as the ship took off from Half-world makimg them along with Ranger and Riley sleepy, because of hyper-sleep
"They'll wake up when we get back to the compound." he murmured smiling.
He was hoping that Lylla was alright back at the compound, as he was texting her, tellimg her what had been happening, while arriving in Earth's atmosphere, noticing the others were beginning to stir, returning to the Avengers compound relieving him, hopimg they were alright or that hyper-sleep hadn't affected them too much.
"Are we here yet, Mr Rockie?" Luca asked waking up.
"Yeah we are, and hyper-sleep activated, once we left Half-orld." Casey said
"Ohhhhh, I get it, I have a lot of things to learn here." Luca replied.
That made Ranger and Riley smile, as they were getting out of the Milano hearing laughter along with Lylla yellimg, makimg them guess Shocket was playing i the hangar bay, despite Lylla and Rocket tellimg her she had to be careful making Casey sigh, hopimg Shocket wouldn't be mischievous towards Luca making Crystal agree, , as they were introducing Luca despite his shyness makimg Shocket smirk.
"Don't even think about i, unless you want grounded." Rocket told her.
Casey was relieved by that, as had been worried that her cousin would be a jerk to Luca, seeing him takimg things in following them despite being quiet, which she and Crystal were sometimes.
Casey saw her uncle and Thor going off, to work on their podcast, as they had came up with this during lockdown, when Rocket had been stir-crazy which Casey understood, smirking knowing it would surprise everybody, when it aired makijg Shocket sigh, going to find Linda.
"You think Luca had a good first night?" Casey asked softly the next morning as she, her parents, Ranger and Riley were awake before everybody else so were drinkimg coffee while waiting.
"I don't know sweetie, but I know you can help him." Ranger replied makimg Riley agree, a little quiet because she and Ranger had some news to tell her, hopimg she and her sis, Kaci wouldn't get scared or upset which Casey was sensing from her mom.
"Nothing's wrong, just some news which we'll talk about in in a bit, okay?" Ranger assured her.
This made the female kit curious yet anxious, in case it was a big change, which was what happened, makimg her furry stomach a little nervous which she was hiding from, makimg them exchange a look just as Kaci, their other kit enter, yawning makimg them giggle and a smile cross Casey's furry face makimg them relieved, seeing her power-bands were not on her furry wrists,, like Casey did.
"Maybe you should go put them back on, just in case." Riley told her makimg Kaci sigh.
Casey sighed, wondering why her sis wasn't wearing her power-bands like she did, makimg Ranger and Riley understand, assuring her that thimgs are okay, seeing Kaci return, excitedly askimg what the big news was, listening to them tellimg them they were going to be doing missions, which made Casey anxious, but Kaci excited, just as Rocket walked in, noticing the look on Casey's face guessing his sibs had told her and Kaci their news, reassuring her.
