Wandering without a goal.

[ACMI2: Everyday of Forgetting]

As Tsuchimikado was still setting up his tracking spell, GV had nothing to do but wander around aimlessly.

He was walking down a street when he all but bumped into someone. At first he thought it was Misaka but there was a certain lack of surface emotion that made it clear that it was one of the sisters.

When they found somewhere secluded to speak, GV asked "Are you meant to be out in public this week?"

The sister nodded "The increase in visitors make it easier to blend into the crowd, explains Misaka 16487."

When the sister project had ended, the sisters had been scattered to different facilities all over the world. This was mostly to do readjustment to prolong their life expectancy. As GV understood it, somewhere between two hundred and one thousand of the clones had remained in Academy city. They still had to follow many of the rules from their time as part of the project though such as wearing the tokiwadai uniform (Or their gym uniform on days like today)

"What if you get mistaken for the original for an event though?"

"In that case we are simply to win, Misaka 16387 notes with some pride. Though we have been told to stay away from the events just in case."

Apparently a few of the sisters did want to join in. It cheered him when he saw the sisters having individual wants. Shinobu's tea was a good example of that, while some had taken to tea there were others who didn't like it.

GV nodded and after some small talk, got out his phone before finding a picture of Oriana Thomson.

"Have any of you seen this woman recently?"

The sister looked at the picture.

"Oriana Thomson, Misaka 16387 asks to confirm?"

GV blinked "You know about her?"

"We've been told not to interfere with her, Misaka 16387 notes with annoyance, apparently our big sister has been banned from interfering as well."

GV hadn't actually heard about it but the sister didn't know anything else so he decided to ask about it later.

"So you can't give me anything?" He tried one last time.

The sister shook her head "I'm sorry, Misaka 16387 apologies. Misaka 14005 tried to find a loophole but this order comes from quite high up."

GV sighed and shrugged before stopping, an idea occuring "Well, if you can't tell me where she is, could you at least tell me where I could go to avoid her?"

He waited silently as he really hoped the sisters were able to understand what he was trying to say.

"...If you were trying to avoid Oriana Thomson, Misaka 10048 wishes to tell you that you should go south west from Misaka 16387's location, towards district 15."

She was probably seen in the opposite direction then. At least if the sisters got his message properly. He didn't know the map well enough to know where each district was but north east was probably the right way.

"Thank you." GV nodded to the sister and left quickly.

He ended up in district 5 but he got a phone call before he found her, if she really was there, that was.

[ACMI2: Cross Speed]

Tsuchimikado had apparently spotted Oriana while he was traveling the right way. She had been spotted in Seibusan Station and they were all heading there to try and stop her before she got too far.

GV ran towards the station down a tree filled path, something like a mini-park. He didn't know if his luck was good or bad though, he ended up running straight into the mage.

He reached for his gun but Oriana was faster with her slips of paper. Black ink flashed on the paper and Oriana flung it towards him as he pulled the gun out. The slip attached itself to the gun as if magnetized and the gun fell apart.

"Sorry hun, no guns allowed. I don't want to get shot, understand?"

"How about this then?" GV jumped forwards, lightning crackling around his skin.

"Nah." followed by the sound of ripping greeted him. He saw a flash of blue and then fell back as a blast of water hit him.

The water ground out his power and stung badly... No it wasn't water!

"You'd best get yourself cleaned up." Oriana advised as he began to feel the burning "That was acid stream, blue and red ink and a nasty curse mixed in for effect."

His eyes stung, his nose stung, his skin stung. GV couldn't see.

"Oh well, it isn't lethal. Just horribly painful. I might want to recreate that one in the future."

GV's voice yelled over his link to Joule. There were no meaning in the words, just pain.

He heard Oriana's voice heading away from him, she was continuing the way he had just run down.

"Well then, at least you've hopefully learned your lesson."

End of chapter.

So umm, I rolled a D20 to see if GV would encounter Oriana on the path she was using (As I didn't really care either way) and got a nat 1. I couldn't think of a way that not finding her could end poorly so instead he met her and everything went wrong.

Fun fact: Acid is more conductive than water so it would ground GV's powers even better than normal water.
