"Wait, what do you mean, I can't play here. I always play here before and nobody cared so whhy're you Terrans making a stink now." Casey asked confused. She'd gotten to the playground in Prpspects Park where her local playground was, where she always came to play and other kids were cool with her and now, they were saying she couldn't which she didn't understand, scrunching up her snoht in thought knowing Rocket had taught her, to ask questions when she didn't understand because that was how she learnt about the planet and her neighbourhood sensing these kids just wanted to start trouble taking deep-breaths.
"Inthought the playground was for everybody, so why can't I play here." she asked them in her bravest tone hearing a kid laughing at her. "We're not yrash-pandas like you who stink, and give us rabies or steal our money." she said making Casey's jaw drop in shock at this feeling the kids throwing dirt clods at her, which she was dodging like dodgeball but then a kid pulled her soft, thick bushy tail making her hiss as it hurt trying not to cry in front of them.
"No trash-pandas allowed here, and if you show your face here, we'll kick your tail." a boy hissed in her ear as she took off at super-speed slamming the front-door of Rocket's house going upstairs unaware Rocket Senior had seen her state which bothered him, going upstairs to check on her hearing sniffles from the bathroom opening the door seeing her cleaning up guessing what had happened deciding to let Rocket handle this feeling bad for her, knowing Rocket had faced this before and was strong enough to face it.
"Dad, is everything okay, is it to do with Casey." he heard Ranger asking, while he was fixing Casey a snack of milk and cookies seeing her come downstairs with a band-aid on her furry nose plus was sitting funny as her tail hurt, guessing one of the mean kids had pulled it hard sensing she didn't want to talk about it right now, so respected this but sniffled a lil which Casey heard, guessing he knew what had happened to her.
"Thanks for the snack, dad, I'm okay." she said sipping milk.
"You're welcome but you okay, as you looked sad when you cane in." he repkied to her.
"I'm okay, I just tripped, alright daddy." she told him just as Rocket entered wearing a rainbow peace sign necklace making Casey smile, guessing Rocke had given it to him. "Relax, it's not like his and you okay as you look like you got in a fight." he reassured her.
She was going upstairs to her room, and lie down unaware their dad was telling him, that kids had been treating her meanly and calling her mean things hearing him coming upstairs, hearing him gently knocking on her door hearing her saying he could come in noticing her tail which made him realise what had happened
"Ohhhhh kiddo, I'm sorry this happened, but it's not you. What we raccoons face from Terrans is called raccoonism like racism when Terrans discrimnate other Terrans because of the colour of their skin or because of beibg LBGT but it's okay to have different coloured skin, or to be LBGT or a raccoon. It happened to me too." he said seeing her surprised.
"But you're you, what happened." Casey asked.
"It was the Nineties and Pride so I was having so much fun waving a rainbow flag around, not hurting anybody then some jerk holds up this sign which said No Raccoons Allowed. I was ticked and ripped the sign up but nobody listened to that jerk's sign pkus I have something to tell you, I'm a mutant too." he explained to her. "Wow, does dad know." she asked excited.
"Probably as Dad's dating Herbert and Herbie's a mutant and he gave me some of his blood but my powers are how I can build anything and bet Shocket has the same mutation. Is this making you feel better." he said.
"Uh-huh, I think it's cool we're mutants and bet you and Rocke had fun hanging out." she said seeing him nodding
"Yes we did, and had coffee." he told her.
