It was a few days later as Casey began to stir in her bed stretching and yawning after sleeping and taking an night flight realising what today was, the first day of school which her parents had been looking forward to and after talking to Rocket aboht her school anxiety, Casey feel better getting dressed. She then flew downstairs then scampered into the kitchen seeing her mom up who was relieved.

"Hey honey and see you're up, and more excited about school, huh." Casey heard Roxy asking as she sat at the table seeing Rocket making coffee. He was relieved that Casey was up and dressed on tine knowing she'd do great especially when she made friends seeing their mom nodding in agreement at his thought.

"Your bro has a point honey, maybe Oreo will show the other kits how awesome you are besides your powers." she told Casey while she was eating cereal tryibg not to make too much a mess or spill knowing her parents would want to take first day photos seeing Rocket nod as their mom never got to do that with him at that age seeing her doing that before grabbing her backpack leaving for school.

"She was tempted to fly to school but didn't know where her new school was so was taking the bus compared to Oreo as her dad was driving her but was feeling nervous seeing the bus pull up getting on seeing kits staring as she was looking for a seat. "You can sit with me." she heard a voice say seeing a magenta furred kit with glasses wearing a red hooded top with black trousers.

"Crystal, thanks for letting me sit with you. It's my first day, I'm Casey." she told her. The magenta-furred raccoon female wondered how she knew her if this was her first day deciding not to mind as she could use a friend plus they'd be in the same grade like Oreo so hoped Casey was having a good first day

Casey was feeling anxious as the bus arrived at Midtown Elementary taking deep-breaths seeing Crystal unfold her lomg cane as they followed the other kits off the bus and into the building. "You okay Casey, haven't you been to school before." Crystal asked her confused heading to the first-grade room which was warm and inviting making Casey'sanxiety fade away a little seeing Oreo there after putting her bag in her cubby unaware Branchie had snuck into her bag.

Sge knew in the past, she was Casey's emotional support Groot and went with her to school, so she'd been surprised that her best pal hadn't taken her with her sensing she might need her so when Casey hadn't been looking alomg with Rocket, the female-sapling had climbed into her backpack and Oreo saw her friend's bag wiggle tapping Casey's shoulder making Casey facepalm.

"It's just Branchie, my Grootcoon friend, she used to come with me to school in the past. She must've snuck into my bag this morning when Rockie and I weren't looking so sorry." she mumbled seeing other kits curious.

"I am Groot." Branchie told her hugging her but Crystal was impressed along with Oreo and the other kits thinking this was awesome surprising Casey as normally her powers caused chaos but felt calm since she'd made an new friend in Crystal

At recess, they were playing plus Branchie was surprised that Casey had made an new friend seeing Crystal curious about the female Grootcoon sapling asking where the heck Casey had moved from seeing her and Branchie exchange a look then told her seeing an impressed look on her magenta-furred face. "That's how you knew my name but I still wanna be your friend." she told her making Casey smile.

"I knew it, Branchie did follow you to school, I tokd her it wasn't a good idea and that you'd make a new friend which happened." Rocket told Casey. It was later that afternoon and Casey had just gotten home from her first day of school which he'd been curious about as their parents had went out doing errands so he was holding down the fort but had been talking to Rocke on Whatsapp seeing Branchie quiet thinking she was in trouble.

"The other kits thought Branchie was awesome even Crystal." Casey told him while havihg milk and cookies but she was telling him about her day as their parents were back asking Casey how her first day of school went telling them relieving Roxy and Rocket Senior because they'd been worrying aboht her all day like Rocket
