Chapter 16: A Day at the Frick Museum
The next day, we all met up at the Frick Museum to take a tour of the Car and Carriage Museum and the Greenhouse. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. While jamming out to NSYNC and 98 Degrees, we composed a Childhood Chat in which Elizabeth Mosh discussed eating chocolate in 7th grade in downtown Pittsburgh, Samantha Mifflin discussed making a craft in kindergarten in East Liberty, Lauren Bennett discussed doing makeovers in 3rd grade in the North Side, Emily Grey discussed sporting her new pajama set in 4th grade in Oakland, Hannah Mifflin discussed telling a ghost story in 8th grade in Shadyside, and Sarah Ching discussed arranging her sleeping bag line at 17 years old in the South Side. "Samantha really loves crafts, doesn't she?" Carly asked. "Yes, she does," Spencer agreed. "I remember when I got you a nice flower craft to work on back in middle school," Mr. Benson pointed out. "Aren't the flowers here pretty?" Alex asked. "Yes, they are," Max agreed. "Nothing like pretty flowers growing in the springtime," Justin stated. "I remember when I grew my own garden back in high school during that glorious spring prior to us leaving for our Disney trip," Alex remembered. "This gives me an idea for graduation camp this week: we should grow pretty flowers and then watch the original Inside Out prior to us seeing the second movie in theaters. Either that, or we tell ghost stories in the dark whenever there is inclement weather outside." "That would be a great idea, Alex," I agreed. "But, let's not forget about Sandcastle and Kennywood!" Then, while jamming out to Kate Bush and Lizzo, we composed another Childhood Chat in which Grace Luster discussed staying up all night at 2 years old in Bloomfield, Jennifer Preager discussed doing a secret handshake in 4th grade in Highland Park, Kayla Jennis discussed telling the truth in 6th grade in Lawrenceville, Brooke Leesaw discussed eating pancakes for breakfast in 11th grade in Morningside, Jessica Linden discussed making YouTube videos in 9th grade in Point Breeze, Julia Robison discussed making a craft at 16 years old in Regent Square, Kaitlyn and Colleen Marioni discussed telling a ghost story at 14 years old in Squirrel Hill, and Rachel Luster discussed arranging her sleeping bag line at 11 years old in Stanton Heights. "Sometimes, these girls talk about memorable birthdays, and my most memorable birthday was my 15th birthday with the cake and presents," Sarah stated. "I am sorry I mentioned the embarrassing photos yesterday," Henri stated. "It's okay, Henri," Sarah stated. "The bottom line is that was a great birthday that I will never forget!" "I am sure that these girls dealt with the loss of a good friend due to breaking the rules," I pointed out. "I felt heartbroken when I lost my boyfriend, Benedict," Sarah remembered. "He should have not been drinking." "I kept you company when Sarah was in a bad mood, Angel," James pointed out. "I thank you for doing that because you are a great big brother, James," I replied. Then, we toured the gift shop and had lunch at the Cafe at the Frick. After that, it was time for all of us to go home. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
