In the end, Zordon sent Jason along with them, and once they had all morphed, Alpha 5 managed to teleport their whole group into the underground space that the pair of them had detected underneath the house. Tommy had only a moment to wonder just what they were going to find, before the Animorphs and Jason all ended up gathered together there.

The space itself seemed to be set up to mimic some kind of alien environment, but Tommy only realized that it was probably meant to be whatever planet the Yeerks came from when he saw the eerily familiar Pool at the center of the room.

"How…" the man who'd just made his way into the underground room where he and the rest of the Animorphs – plus Jason, but Tommy and Jake had agreed to at least try to keep as much attention as they could off of him – had teleported into the hidden compound where he seemed to be working.

"What is this place?" Jason muttered, and for a long moment Tommy found himself wanting more than anything to knock the Red Ranger flat on his face.

Mr. Fenestre was obviously a Controller, and while Jason might have been more accustomed to dealing with the duller, stupider goons that Rita Repulsa employed, Tommy had at least thought that the Red Ranger had understood what he'd be getting into when he confronted one of the Yeerks.

"That's not the question," Mr. Fenestre said, having obviously regained his composure. "The real question is, what are you?"

(Not another word, Jason,) he snapped, tail lashing in annoyance. (We don't know how many databases this Yeerk has access to, and if he manages to get a recording of your voice, he'll probably be able to find you. The best you can hope for, after that, is that he kills you quickly,)he said, thinking again of his foster parents.

"I know the rest of them are Andalites," Mr. Fenestre said, Dracon beam still pointed at their group. "Only Andalites would have taken such immediate action, or appeared in any of the morphs gathered around us. You, however," Mr. Fenestre continued, narrowing his eyes as he continued to study Jason, standing at the center of their small group of Animorphs. "You've clearly allied yourself with these Andalites, but the question remains: what are you?"
