Chapter Four: Fuli's Jealousy

After the battle, Jasiri thanked The Lion Guard for their help. "Thank you, Lion Guard." She said gratefully.

Kion: "Anytime, Jasiri." He replied with a smile.

Jasiri then noticed Bongo clinging to Fuli's back. "Fuli, who's your little friend?" She asked curiously.

Fuli introduced Bongo. "Jasiri, this is Bongo. He's my best friend. I actually met him while babysitting."

Jasiri watched as Bongo played with Fuli's tail. "It seems to me that he has a liking for your tail."

Bunga: "Yeah, that's kind of his thing. He loves to play with it." He chimed in.

Jasiri: "Hehe, I see." She said, amused.

Bongo then moved over to Jasiri and started to cling to her. "Aww, I think he likes me." She said warmly.

Fuli: "Yeah, he does." She agreed, watching them.

Kion: "Hey, Jasiri. Just in case Janja and his clan come back, we'll stay here to help you." He spoke up.

Jasiri: "Thank you, Kion. Asante." She said gratefully.

Some time later, Kion was relaxing while keeping an eye out for any signs of Janja and his clan. Beshte and Ono were enjoying a dip in Jasiri's watering hole. Bongo played happily with Jasiri and some hyena pups from her clan. Fuli perched on a rock, grooming herself.

Bunga: "Bongo seems to really like Jasiri." He commented, wandering over to Fuli.

Fuli: "Yeah, he does." She replied, her tone tinged with a hint of something else. Bunga's eyes widened.

Bunga: *gasps* "Are you jealous, Fuli?" He whispered.

Fuli: "What? No, what are you talking about? I'm not jealous at all," She quickly denied.

Bunga: "I think you're jealous." He teases her.

Fuli: *growls softly* "Bunga, I'm not jealous!" She whispered back.

Bunga: "Okay, I'm just saying that you are." He said with a mischievous grin.

Fuli: "Ugh!" She groaned, clearly annoyed, flicking her tail in irritation. She'd just turned her head away from Bunga, trying to shake off the feeling.

After a while, Bongo was playing with Jasiri and the hyena pups in the watering hole. Kion, Beshte, and Ono were all having fun with Bongo as well. From a distance, Fuli sat watching, seeing Bongo laugh and having fun with Jasiri. She felt a pang of sadness as she thought she might be losing her friendship with Bongo. Bunga, noticing her demeanor, continued to try to get her to admit her feelings.

Bunga: "Come on, Fuli. Just admit that you're jealous." He urged.

Fuli: "Bunga, for the last time! I'm not jealous!" She snapped, trying to walk away. But Bunga grabbed her tail, stopping her in her tracks.

Fuli: "Hey!" She exclaimed, glaring at Bunga.

Bunga: "Fuli, you can't deny it." He insisted.

Fuli tried to pull away, but Bunga wouldn't let go. "Bunga, let go of my tail!"

Bunga: "Not until you admit you're jealous." He said stubbornly.

Fuli: "Ugh! Alright fine, I guess I'm a little jealous. Are you happy now?" She finally confessed, exasperated.

Bunga: "Ha, I knew it." He grinned, letting go of her tail.

Fuli: *sighs* "Okay, now that I've told you. You have to promise me that you won't tell anyone." She sighed

Bunga: "Why not? I'm sure they'll understand." He replied, with puzzlement.

Fuli: "No, I just… need to find a way for Bongo to be my friend again." She said, her voice softening.

Bunga: "Okay, I promise I won't tell." He promised, still unsure. But he promised Fuli he wouldn't tell the rest of the Guard.

With that assurance, Fuli sat down, and started to think of a way to win back Bongo's attention and friendship.
