Chapter Five: Friendships Broken

Fuli came up with a plan to get Bongo to be her friend again. "Alright Bunga, here's the plan. You're going to create a distraction while I try to bring Bongo's attention over to me." She explained.

Bunga: "Okay, but what kind of distraction?" He asked.

Fuli: "I don't know, just think of something." She replied, a bit impatiently.

Bunga: *sighs* "Okay, okay, no need to be so bossy." He said.

Fuli: "Just go." She urged.

Bunga: "Just go." He mocked before setting off to create a distraction. He pretended to trip over something, falling dramatically on the ground. "Ow, my leg! My leg!" He cried out in exaggerated pain.

Everyone rushed over to Bunga to see if he was okay. Fuli rolled her eyes at Bunga's theatrics but took the opportunity to sneak over to Bongo.

Fuli: "Psst, Bongo." She whispered.

Bongo turned around but didn't seem interested. He couldn't keep his eyes off of Jasiri. Fuli tried a different approach. "Hey Bongo, do you want to play with my tail?" She asked hoopefully.

Bongo shook his head no. Fuli's frustration grew. "Come on, Bongo. Just play with it, please?" She pleaded.

He still refused, and Fuli lost control of her anger. "Bongo, why won't you be my friend?!" She shouted.

Scared, Bongo began to cry. Realizing her mistake, Fuli immediately felt guilty. "Oh, I'm sorry, Bongo. I didn't mean to yell." She said, trying to comfort him.

But his cries drew the attention of Kion, Ono, Beshte, Bunga, and Jasiri. They ran over to see what was wrong. Bongo being terrified, he ran away from Fuli and sought comfort from Jasiri.

Kion: "Fuli, what happened?" He asked.

Ono: "Why is Bongo crying?" He added.

Beshte: "Is he okay?" He looked concerned.

Fuli: "Oh, um, he's just crying for no reason at all." She tried to act innocent.

Kion: "Fuli, no one cries without a reason." He frowned.

Bunga: "Aw man, I told you the plan wouldn't work, Fuli." He blurted out.

Kion: "The plan? What plan?" His ears perked up.

Fuli silently gestured for Bunga not to tell, but he couldn't keep lying. "Fuli came up with a plan so that Bongo can be her friend again!" He confessed.

Fuli: "Bunga!" She exclaimed, frustrated.

Bunga: "I can't lie anymore, Fuli!" He said firmly.

Kion: "Fuli, is that true?" He asked, his voice stern.

Fuli: *sighs deeply* "Yes, it is." She admitted.

Ono: "Fuli, why would you do that?" He asked

Beshte: "You've hurt Bongo's feelings." He added.

Fuli: "Bongo was supposed to be my friend! Until Jasiri came along and ruined my friendship!" She snapped.

Jasiri: "You're blaming me, Fuli?! I didn't do anything to you!" She retorted, looking hurt.

Fuli: "Yes, you did! You stole my best friend!" She cried out. Fuli then tackled Jasiri, starting a fight.

Jasiri: "Get off me, Fuli!" She shouted.

Fuli: "Not until you give me back my friend!" She yelled back.

The rest of the Lion Guard held Fuli back while Jasiri's clan restrained her.

Kion: "Both of you, stop fighting! Fuli, what's the matter with you?!" He shouted.

Fuli: "It's Jasiri's fault that Bongo doesn't like me anymore!" She cried, with tears streaming down her face.

She saw Bongo clinging to Jasiri, more scared of her than ever. Heartbroken, Fuli turned and ran away crying.

Bunga: "Fuli, wait!" He called after her.

Kion: "Bunga, I think we should give Fuli some space." He said, placing a paw on Bunga's shoulder.

Bongo continued to cry, burying his face in Jasiri's fur for comfort. While the others watched helplessly, now the tension is hanging heavily in the air.
