On the streets of Paris...
Eraser Head ran across the buildings of Paris as he scanned the civilians below. No sign of any strange villain. He didn't have time to ask for descriptions of this Monarch guy. But based on the way he is, Eraser Head figured out he would stand out if he were to find him in a crowd.
There was only one more thing he wanted to check out before getting back to his students.
Adrien Agreste's father.
Gabriel Agreste.
He find out his name through asking some people about the fashion model on the billboards. Just based on their answers, he seemed oddly suspicious. He never leaves his house, only very special and rare occasions. His wife disappeared not too long ago. It even happened some time before Monarch came out of the shadows.
Apparently, he was even called HawkMoth when he started to go after Ladybug and Cat Noir. Then Scarlet Moth, and then ShadowMoth. And finally, Monarch.
"Some villain," Mr. Aizawa thought himself.
If anything, he should at least find this Adrien kid. He was the only one that could help him find him. He felt awful having to get his son involved, but there was absolutely no one else.
Unfortunately, he couldn't find him anywhere.
School was out, so no good there. He noticed the girl that had recorded the live stream earlier so he asked her. After freaking out about meeting him, she finally gave him what he was looking for.
"Sorry, dude," Alya told him, "But no one's seen Adrien today. His dad can be pretty strict about what he does and doesn't do outside of school. You could go to his house yourself, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. His father doesn't normally let in just anyone into his house without his permission."
"Thank you for the info, Alya," Eraser Head told her as he took off.
He was about to head over to Adrien's house, when he spotted Cat Noir hopping into the window of the house.
"Cat Noir? They already took care of the mission? I'm hoping that's a good sign."
Eraser Head crouched on the wall that surrounded the house and watched Cat Noir pace the floor of someone's room.
His room.
"Cat Noir... Don't tell me..."
"Plagg, claws in."
There standing before him, was the kid on the billboards. Adrien Agreste.
"This just got interesting."
He kept an eye on the teenager as he talked to something floating around him. It looked like some sort of black creature.
"Adrien, what's wrong?" The thing asked him.
"It's Midoriya, Monarch's coming after him," Adrien told him.
Eraser Head's eyes widened in shock. He was about to take off, but Adrien kept talking to him about what was going on.
"Ladybug sent them out of the hotel. It's not safe there anymore. She said she has a friend who will take care of them for now."
"I'm sure Midoriya will be fine," The thing told him, "I can tell he's a tough piece of cheese."
"Yeah, he just didn't look so good is all. And I'm worried about my father."
"Your father?"
"Yeah, their teacher is looking into who HawkMoth-- I mean, who Monarch is. I just hope that there's nothing he finds that makes it seem like its him. There's no way he could be."
"Well, let's wait and see what Ladybug tells us. That's all we can do."
That's all Eraser Head needed to hear. He headed back towards the hotel in the hopes to see his students. Soon enough, they were walking their way towards the Bakery Shop. Where Zoe took them not too long ago. Then he spotted Iida holding Midoriya in his arms. Before he knew it, he was right in front of his class.
"Mr. Aizawa!" Iida cried out, but stopped himself since he was holding Midoriya.
"Iida, Ladybug," Eraser Head said looking at the distraught heroine, "What happened?"
"It's Monarch. He's after Midoriya."
In Marinette's bedroom...
Ladybug had gotten everyone into her room through the balcony so her parents didn't notice them come in. As Mr. Aizawa entered her bedroom, which felt very weird to him to be sneaking into a girl's privacy, he noticed she had a bunch of photos of Adrien Agreste on her walls.
"Oh boy," Mr. Aizawa thought, "Should I tell her? Midoriya was just hurt by possibly Cat Noir's father."
Once Iida settled Midoriya into her lounge chair, she was able to get everyone in her room. Luckily, her room was big enough to have them here as long as they sat on the floor to make some room for the others.
Ladybug watched Uraraka sit by Midoriya's side and brush his hair out of his face. She could tell she cared about him very much, but she had to do something to take care of him. He was still sweating a lot.
Since the class knew about her secret identity, she knew it was time to tell their teacher hers. He kept glaring at her anyway, so she might as well get it out of the way.
"After what happened with Monarch, you deserve to know my secret identity," Ladybug told him, "Tikki, Spots off."
Ladybug detransformed in front of everyone, and Marinette stood before them. Tikki floated beside her, shocked to see so many people in her bedroom.
"My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and I'm sorry for what happened to Midoriya, sir," She told the pro hero as she bowed to him.
Mr. Aizawa let out a sigh and waved it off.
"This was bound to happen with Midoriya around. I'm just glad no else was hurt," He told her, and then turned to his students, "By the looks on your faces, you already knew her secret identity."
No one dared to answer him, but Iida just nodded to him.
"Alright, there's something else I want to talk about, but first let's take care of Midoriya. Marinette, go get something to cool him down."
"On it! Make yourselves comfortable," Marinette responded to the pro hero and ran to the door in her floor and exited very quickly.
Mr. Aizawa sat on the bright, pink chair by her desk and looked at his students rather intensely.
"Iida, tell me everything that happened back there."
A few minutes later...
Marinette soon came back with an ice cold bucket of water and a face cloth. She was even able to sneak up some macarons and sandwiches. When she settled in though, it looked like Mr. Aizawa was upset again.
"So, Monarch is after Midoriya instead of you and Cat Noir, but you were able to take back a Bee Miraculous that you once gave to Chloe Bourgeois?" Mr. Aizawa told her what he had just found out.
"Yes," Marinette answered with no hesitation whatsoever and showed everyone the Bee Miraculous.
It looked like it wasn't as shiny and yellow as it once was. It was a silver comb with the design of a bee on it.
"What happened to it?" Iida asked her, "It didn't look like before."
"This is what happens when us holders aren't using it. It goes into Camouflage Mode so it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. My Miraculous does it as well," Marinette told them as she showed her earrings were now black instead of red and black polka dotted.
"But it did fall into the wrong hands," Bakugo pointed out.
"Bakugo!" Kirishima said, trying to stop him.
"No, he's right. It did. This is all my fault," Marinette said as she placed the bucket of water by Midoriya's side and gave Uraraka the face cloth. "If I hadn't mistaken Adrien Agreste for his look alike cousin, Felix, none of this would've happened."
"Adrien has a look alike cousin?" Mr. Aizawa asked back. This caught his interest.
"Yes. But wait, how do you know about Adrien?" Marinette asked as she eyed her wall of posters and blushed. She ripped off a few posters on her wall, getting everyone's attention, especially Uraraka, who placed the wet face cloth on Midoriya's forehead.
"He's a fashion model. He's on every billboard in the city when I was looking for clues as to where HawkMoth might be hiding."
"Oh... right. So you found out about his original villain name, huh? That was fast."
"Actually, he has three names not counting HawkMoth," Mr. Aizawa explained.
"Why the hell would he have a bunch of villain names? That's so lame that he can't even stick to one," Bakugo complained.
"Says the guy who came up with King Explosion Murder and Lord Explosion Murder for his hero name," Sato pointed out.
Bakugo was about to pummel him through the floor, but Kirishima stopped him before he could.
"Getting back to Adrien's cousin," Mr. Aizawa said, "Does he live with Adrien, and is it possible he might be Cat Noir?"
Marinette dropped the pile of posters on her desk and turned to face him. She looked nervous about something that might be brought to light.
"No, he lives in London with his mother. And no, it's not possible that he's Ca-Cat Noir. He was with me when it happened. You see, I accidentally gave him the Dog Miraculous thinking it was Adrien. He wound up taking my yo-yo using its superpowers and gave it to ShadowMoth. M-My yo-yo had all of the Miraculous in there, and..."
Everyone could tell it was hard for her to be talking about this, but she kept going anyway.
"He took them all. That's when he started calling himself Monarch."
"It must've been some superpower if he was able to take your yo-yo from you," Mr. Aizawa told her.
Marinette looked like she wanted to curl up in a ball. Mr. Aizawa couldn't believe she and Cat Noir had been through this much without the help of her superhero friends. But now, they were here.
He was actually glad to be here for once. Getting up from his chair, he walked over to the heroine and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Marinette, I'm glad we're here to help. We'll get them back."
She looked at him and could tell he meant it.
"Thank you, Eraser Head," She told him, but still couldn't let go of something in particular, "But, I feel like there's something you're not telling me about Cat Noir. Is it important?"
Mr. Aizawa looked at his class and at Midoriya, who was still sweating.
"Let's wait for Midoriya to wake up first. Then go from there."
Another great chapter! I do think it's kind of weird that they're all staying in her room, but don't worry. They won't be in there for very long. Mr. Aizawa knows about Adrien being Cat Noir... What's going to happen next??
More to come soon!
