Everyone gathered around the classroom, ready to start. Marinette looked the most ready to start brewing something together.
"This is great! We can finally get right to work on the potions!" Marinette cried out, "Thank you so much for all of your hard work! Hopefully this'll do the trick!"
Marinette got up from her spot and grabbed a metal bowl from her stuff she had grabbed from her parents's bakery shop. She turned to Todoroki with that sparkle in her eyes.
"Shouto, can you fill this with water?" Marinette asked him.
Todoroki looked confused as to why she asked him to go fill it with water, but then he realized that she wanted him to create some with his quirk. He had never even thought about that before. Then he began to wonder if that was even possible. He looked down at his hands and clasped his hands together.
Everyone was watching, shocked as to what Marinette had asked him. Midoriya stood there with starry eyes, hoping he could pull it off.
Todoroki felt his ice side and fire side start to slowly clash together, forming water in his hands. It began to pour out of the palm of his hands and into the bowl. It was steaming from his fire side, but it was able to melt the ice into water successfully.
They all looked at Todoroki dumbfounded at what they had just witnessed. Even Todoroki was shocked to discover something new about his quirk.
"Whoa, Todoroki! I didn't know that you could do that!" Midoriya cried out with his bunny ears exposed.
"Me neither," Todoroki mumbled as he looked down at his hands.
Marinette never realized that she didn't know much about Todoroki. Whatever happened for him to get that scar, she knew it wasn't something he shares with everyone. She noticed that his quirk was very different from all of the others however, and that it meant something else to him. Marinette looked at him with a genuine smile and placed her hand on his shoulder.
"I can tell that your quirk is very special. I will get you and everyone else back home so you can figure this out," Marinette said to him, "I wouldn't want to hold you back from becoming a great hero back home."
Todoroki felt something come over him and could tell that his quirk had changed a little since they got here. Something about this place was helping his quirk evolve, and he began to wonder about the others.
"Alright," Marinette said as she set down the bowl onto the table, "So the ingredients for the Animal Transformation recipe calls for: A mirror, A lock of fur from a feline animal and..."
Marinette looked back at the recipes, and then the list that she had given out to everyone. Alya looked at her rather confused and got closer.
"Is something wrong, Marinette?" Alya asked her.
"Yeah, it says that one of the ingredients is Something that can be touched but can't be seen. Could no one find that ingredient?" Marinette asked them.
They all looked at each other, but no one seemed to have the answer or the ingredient. Then Uraraka realized that she never got the chance to look at the list herself. She looked down at her hands and walked over to Marinette.
"I think I know what the last ingredient is. It's gravity," Uraraka said to her, "Maybe I could activate my quirk on the ingredients. That could help."
Marinette's eyes widened as she finally got all of the ingredients. She nodded at her friend, and Uraraka activated her quirk. She touched all of them, even the ones Marinette didn't call out just in case she needed them for something.
"Thank you so much, Ochaco!" Marinette cried out as she gave her a hug.
Uraraka wasn't expecting that, but accepted it anyway.
"Adrien, would you mind?" Alya asked him, holding a pair of scissors.
Adrien looked at the scissors and let out a sigh.
"Fine. Just do it so we can get rid of these things," Adrien said as he bent down so she could reach.
Alya quickly cut off a little bit of fur on his ear and ran over to the table. Adrien's face had turned bright red. Alya placed the lock of fur beside the rest of the ingredients as Uraraka activated her quirk on the fur. Marinette made sure that none of them floated away by placing stuff over them like a container.
"Okay," Marinette said to them, "If we're going to make an antidote, then I'd say we're definitely going to need an eraser."
Marinette said as she picked up the very light as a feather eraser and was about to put it in the bowl, but then Midoriya stepped in to intervene.
"Wait! You're just going to toss it in just like that without going over any of the other ingredients?"
"Yeah, that's kind of what she does," Alya said to her.
"Bu-But this is antidote! You should be more careful with what you put in it," Midoriya said to her.
"Don't worry about it. I do this all the time," Marinette said as she nodded at Uraraka to deactivate it on this one.
Marinette let go of the eraser and it dropped into the bowl of water. The water started to sizzle. Class 1-A all noticed what happened and started to gather around the table to watch.
"Okay, the sizzling means these ingredients work together. With Ochaco's quirk, this should help a lot more," Marinette said to them, "Next one is definitely Adrien's lock of fur."
Marinette grabbed before it could float away and got it ready again. Uraraka deactivated it again as soon as Marinette let go. The fur went into the bowl of water and started to glow a greenish color. It reminded everyone of Cat Noir's transformation.
"Awesome! No explosion yet," Marinette said to everyone's surprise.
Class 1-A looked at Midoriya and Adrien, hoping this potion will work.
"Okay, next up is... a mirror."
Marinette and Uraraka worked together again, and the mirror made the potion start to boil. Marinette started to worry that it might explode, but then it started go down to a mild boil. But it still didn't create a poof to say that it was done. Then she spotted the four leaf clover.
"The four leaf clover should do it then," Marinette said to them.
One more time, Uraraka deactivated her quirk, and the four leaf clover fell into the potion. It didn't change much this time around. Marinette looked at the potion, a little confused.
"It should've let off a small poof. That's how you know it's done," Marinette said to them as she looked over the ingredients.
"Maybe it just wasn't the right ingredients," Kirishima said to her.
"Maybe you need some more fur," Alya said teasingly as she snipped the scissors towards Adrien.
Adrien covered his black cat ears, but then Marinette looked up at him and Midoriya. She even reached up to her antennas and knew what they all had to do. Marinette took the scissors from Alya and very carefully snipped a piece of her wing. She felt a sting, but it didn't hurt.
She looked up to see everyone in the room with dumbfounded expressions on their face.
"What? This is the last ingredient," Marinette said to them, "We have Adrien's fur but I didn't add anything from me or Izuku. I need a lock of your fur."
Midoriya felt his face turn bright red as Alya came over with the pair of scissors. As she cut a bit of his fur, Uraraka activated her quirk on Marinette's piece of her wing. She tried to very hard not to activate it on Marinette. Once Alya came back with Midoriya's fur, Uraraka did the same thing to that.
"I really hope this works..." Midoriya muttered.
Marinette took a deep breath in and out and let the last ingredients go into the potion. Once both of them went into the bowl, the potion started to turn from green into pink. But then it turned into a rainbow of shimmering colors. Everyone was in awe at how pretty it looked, and even Marinette couldn't look away. The bowl even shook a little. After a few seconds of the ingredients mixing together, a poof formed out of the potion.
"It worked!" Marinette cried out, nearly jumping for joy.
"Bu-But what was all that glowing and shimmering?" Midoriya asked a little bit worried, "That looked like One for All. Are you sure this won't just make things worse?"
Marinette looked down at the potion and noticed that it looked like it went back to looking transculent. But it seemed to have a shimmering look to it, and even had a jelly consistency to it. She dipped her finger into it and felt it slip around her finger. It was hard for her to keep it in between her fingers.
"Yeah, that doesn't look right to me," Uraraka said to her.
"No, it's definitely a potion," Marinette said to them, "We'll never know until we try it."
Midoriya felt himself back away, feeling uneasy just looking at it. It wasn't even glowing anymore, and it didn't look right.
"You seriously want to try this, Marinette?" Adrien asked her, "If anything, it might do the exact opposite of an antidote."
Tikki, Plagg and Dekku came floating out of their hiding spot, spooking Chloe a little. Tikki looked at the potion with curious eyes. She even sniffed it and seemed to like the smell.
"You made a potion, but I can't tell if it's an antidote," Tikki said to her holder, "It's not meant for me or any of the Kwamis to drink. It's meant for the holder of a Miraculous."
Midoriya gulped as he felt his bunny ears tense up. Both him and Adrien walked up to Marinette rather slowly and noticed how weird it looked when they got closer to it. Marinette took a spoon full of it and poured it into a small cup and did the same for two other cups.
"How are we going to know it works if we don't try it?" Marinette asked them, "It's the only way. After this, I'll help with One for All's quirks."
Midoriya and Adrien looked at each other and knew they were both very nervous. Marinette grabbed two cups and reached out to them. They both hesitantly took them, and Marinette grabbed hers. Alya placed her hand on her friend's shoulder with a supportive look on her face.
"We really have to drink this?" Adrien asked her, "I thought our Kwamis would have to drink it."
"Eww! I wouldn't drink that, kid," Plagg said to him, "It smells like something sweet and you and I both know that I don't do sweet treats."
The three of them looked at the potion, and Marinette got them ready. Class 1-A was ready just in case they needed to do something to help out.
"Okay. One, two, three, go!"
They all drank it, surprising everyone in the room. Midoriya almost spit it out, but drank it anyway. Adrien was somehow able to drink it all, and Marinette had no problem drinking it. They all did not like the after taste however, and the texture really grossed them out.
"Oh man, that's gross!" Adrien said as he finished it.
Midoriya felt a shiver go down his back as he clenched the plastic cup.
Everyone was waiting for something to happen, especially Midoriya's friends.
"Do you feel any different, Midoriya?" Iida asked him.
"No, but that was a really gross potion. That after taste doesn't help either," Midoriya explained.
Marinette didn't feel any different as she reached up to touch her head. The antennas were still there. She looked at Adrien and Midoriya, and even they didn't look any different. They both still had black cat ears and bunny ears.
"It didn't work...?" Marinette said as her shoulders slumped down.
"I'm sorry, Marinette," Alya said to her, "I'm sure you could try another one. We have plenty of ingredients left to try out with."
"Yeah, I guess so--"
Marinette felt a hiccup come over her and quickly covered her mouth. Then Adrien felt the same thing come over him and felt a little embarrassed. So did Midoriya.
"I guess the potion gives you hiccups," Jirou said to them.
All three of them looked at their friends once they realized that something didn't feel right. They all felt a gurgling in their stomachs. Marinette looked up at Alya, and her eyes said it all. Before she could say anything, a poof of pink smoke came out of no where all around Marinette.
"What's going on?!" Iida yelled out.
And then a poof of green smoke appeared around Adrien.
Midoriya was freaked out and didn't know what to do.
"Ochaco--"
Another poof of rainbow smoke appeared around Midoriya.
Everyone stood up, worried for their friends. They tried to wave off the smoke to try and find them. Iida even opened the window to air it out a little.
"Marinette, where are you?" Alya asked her, "Can you reach out to me?"
It was quiet for a moment. Once the smoke died down a lot, no one could find their friends anywhere. They hoped that were just hiding from the smoke.
"Alya...?" Marinette's voice scared Alya a lot.
Alya spun around, looking for her friend, but couldn't find her anywhere. She thought she might've accidentally turned her invisible or something like that until she felt something land on her shoulder. She looked down and saw a ladybug. She was about to flick it, when it began to talk.
"Wait, no! Alya, it's me!" Marinette cried out.
Alya froze in place and so did everyone else.
"Ma-Marinette...?!" Alya cried out.
Marinette had turned into a ladybug.
In the streets of Paris...
Midoriya felt his legs running away from the smoke and didn't even think about what he was doing. He just kept running, he even felt like he had gotten a bit of speed running down the street. It felt great to be able to run around like this again. He didn't even remember transforming before he ran off.
Then he started to notice that the City of Paris looked a lot bigger and taller than usual. Even the pavement was much closer to the ground as he ran.
He stopped running once he saw where he was. Midoriya had found himself in the middle of the park.
Spotting a bench nearby, he even noticed that it was bigger and taller than him. He felt a pit in his stomach as he looked down at his feet. He wasn't even wearing his red sneakers.
His feet looked like rabbit's feet.
His green eyes widened in shock as he noticed his hands looked like paws and not hands. He felt the top of his head and still felt his bunny ears. He even accidentally touched some whiskers that were where his freckles should be.
"Wha-What's going on?!" Midoriya cried out.
Then someone came running into the park looking for something they had left behind.
"Mommy! Can you help me look for my Ladybug doll?" Manon asked her mom.
"Sure, sweetie. But, we've gotta head home soon," Nadja said to her, "Mommy has some work that has to get done."
Midoriya quickly hid behind a tree, peeking out to make sure that he wasn't spotted. He felt himself sweating, hoping that they would leave very soon. Then, he felt his leg rubbed up against something. He slowly turned around and found a Ladybug doll.
"Mommy! I found it--"
Manon came up out of no where, scaring Midoriya and not realizing how big she looked close up. Her eyes lit up when she spotted Midoriya near the doll.
"Ooh! You're so cute!" Manon cried out, "You're going to be my new pet!"
Midoriya tried to run away, but Manon was bigger, and she grabbed Midoriya by the ears. He tried to get out of her grip, but she had a surprisingly strong grip for a little girl.
"Mommy! I found a bunny! Can we keep him?" Manon asked her.
"Not now, Manon. Mommy is on a phone call," Nadja said back to her, but then noticed what she was holding, "I'll have to call you back."
Nadja put her phone down and looked at Midoriya. He didn't know what to do in a situation like this. Mr. Aizawa never had hero lessons about what to do if you turn into an animal.
"Manon, you don't hold an animal like that," Nadja scolded her as she grabbed Midoriya and held him correctly, "This poor thing looks like it might have an owner already. It's so clean and well kept. We're going to have to take care of it until we find its rightful owner."
"Yay! We can take it home!" Manon said as they both left the park.
Nadja held Midoriya, making sure he couldn't get away from them. He felt like his heart was racing out of his chest and noticed the school in the distance. He tried to wiggle out of her grip, but she wasn't letting up.
"You are quite fidgety there, little guy," Nadja said to him, "But don't you worry. We'll find your owner soon."
Midoriya watched them go in a different direction and away from the school. He really didn't know how he was going to get out of this one.
Another amazing chapter!
Here it is! This is what I was leading it up to! They all turned into animals! I always liked the idea of Ladybug and Cat Noir turning into an actual ladybug and black cat, but now it's also Midoriya as a bunny as well!! The potion might've made things worse! Marinette is now a ladybug and Midoriya is a bunny! He's now in trouble since Manon found him!
I wonder where Adrien is??
More to come soon!
