The Death Egg fell to the ground, where Eggman watched on. He could feel the despair creeping in as the Death Egg slammed into the ground.
"I hope they're happy… because no there's no other way to save this world. And if Remnant falls, the Mushroom Kingdom goes with it."
Kyoko frowned. "I do not think so…" She said, watching the memory disappear as she found another Egg Memo.
"On the one hand, I feel immense relief that a weight on my shoulders has been lifted. On the other hand, now that my plan has failed, I feel like there's no chance for Remnant to be saved… and considering Remnant merged with the Mushroom Kingdom, I feel like if Remnant goes, the Mushroom Kingdom goes with it.
Futaba's the new Winter Maiden. I hope she's ready for that massive target on her back, especially considering she's just a kid compared to the other Maidens. I'm sure the three will watch her, especially the Phantom Thieves.
Meanwhile, Bowser, once again, thinks his raw power is much better than my intellect. Hmph. When will he realize that brains outmatches brawn every time? …Then again, I've heard Kyoko managed to outwit Fawful-"
"Hmph." Kyoko chuckled with a small amused smirk.
"Regardless, things are not going to be the same. Remnant's still reeling from the Phazon War, hundreds if not thousands of folks succumbed to the Phazon… so throw in this invasion, alongside that weird Red Sky that I have a weird hunch that it was Dark Ruby's idea. But throw that in, along with the Star Rift Apocalypse and now this… I don't think Remnant's ever going to mentally recover from this.
Goodness, I really should've asked Pyrrha instead of kidnapping her. She would probably say no, which, you know, understandable. But I fear Pyrrha's mental state may just jump into rock bottom… but perhaps not. I'm hopeful that it doesn't go that far.
I can't help but feel… angry. Normally, I just brush off any failure I had considering I'm darn well used to that meddling hedgehog foiling my plans, but something about this… stings. Especially considering I thought it would be best to save Remnant from Salem.
Maybe it's not anger. Perhaps… this could be despair? Not my first rodeo with it, if I'm being honest.
Regardless… I just hope they all know what they're doing. Because I don't see a way for them all to stop Salem for good.
Hmph… I wonder who the heroes truly are."
"It's not like him to give up. Perhaps if I could talk some sense into him…" Kyoko mused before nodding in determination. "I'll find you, Robotnik."
Meanwhile…
"I have found a possible scenario for your escape." Sage said.
"It's about time! Report."
"After reviewing your entire campaign history, I have found the most optimal course of action is to… create an alliance with Sonic."
"WHAT?"
"B-But, together you stopped the ARK! Overcame Neo Metal! You even helped them take down the Metarex. You even teamed up with them to try and stop Bowser from imploding the univer-"
"I don't want to hear it! Those alliances were purely out of desperation!"
"But time is running out!"
"I don't want to hear it!" Eggman pounded his fists into his Flying Egg Machine. "Find me another option!"
He flew off in a huff.
"Your tenacity is legendary… but I do wish you'd reconsider…" Sage frowned. "Your mentality has also taken a beating after your failed invasion. Am I too late to… give you a hug?"

"Mmmm…" Caliburn backed away slowly with a disturbed expression. Ruby, on the other hand, had her eyes sparkling.
"I never gave it much thought earlier but wooooooow~! An actual talking sentient sword! I must be DREAMING!"
"Mmmph…" Caliburn sweatdropped. "Is she normally like this?"
"I was honestly wondering when she'd fangirl over you." Sonic chuckled.
"...I take this as a yes!"
"The edges, the metal, the eyes, the actual shape… and it's a talking sentient sword!" Ruby gushed. "Oooh, if I wasn't caught in limbo, I'd want to hold you~!"
"Now now, only someone of pure heart can hold me… plus you can't just wield me normally as no biological hand can touch me save for a glove."
Ruby pulled up her plant arm. "My arm had been replaced by a plant. I'm sure I don't need a glove."
"Welp, there's a loophole for ya." Sonic chuckled.
"Clearly…" Caliburn mumbled.
"Sooooooon~! I can almost hold you once I get out of here~!"

"Ooof!" Ruby rubbed the back of her head, seeing Yang behind her. "Thanks…"
"You're welcome!" Yang grinned before giving her sister a noogie.
"Ack! Hey!" Ruby laughed.
"Some things never change…" Weiss chuckled.
"Nope." Blake agreed in amusement.
"Hmmm…" Mine folded her arms. "Hey, Gonta? I'm curious… what exactly is your semblance anyway? All I know is that you're in the Rose/Xiao Long/Branwen family. …My goodness, that's a mouthful to say."
Gonta smiled. "Gonta semblance is bug control. However, due to Gonta not knowing words properly, Gonta accidentally put down animal-copy. Gonta never change it. With Bug Control, Gonta sends insects to work to battle for Gonta, such as wasps and beetles. It work fifty percent of time to Bug Pokemon due to them being more intelligent."
"Sooooo, to clarify, it's not "animal control", but it's bug control?" Sonic asked.
"Yes."
Sonic breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh good… I'm not sure how I'd feel about being someone's puppet."
"What are you talking about?" Ruby asked. "You're not even a bug, you're a-... oooooooh."
"Somehow, Sonic the Ladybug sounds funny to me." Caliburn said.
"That's worse than Knave the Hedgehog." Sonic mumbled quietly. "...Wait, shoot. I need to warn Charmy."
"Alright, now tell us about your backstory." Mine requested.
Gonta rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Gonta was born as faunus in labor village, same as Oran-"
"Whoa whoa WHOA! You're a faunus?!"
Gonta smiled. "Gonta not look like Faunus because of long hair." He parted his hair to reveal his wolf ears. "See?"
"Aha! I knew they were somewhere in those long locks of yours!" Ruby fist pumped.
"I could've sworn the hair was fur…" Dorothea sweatdropped sheepishly, hearing a snicker from her wife.
"Shoot, I was thinking long claws in your feet." Yang admitted. "Aw dammit, I owe uncle Qrow twenty Lien now."
Earlier…
"Twenty Lien he has Wolf Ears." Qrow said.
"You're on!" Yang smirked.
"I'll take that bet. He clearly has fur somewhere on his body!" Raven declared. "If not, he could possibly be an insect Faunus!"
Back in the present…
"Nah, he has wolf ears." Oran chuckled.
"I can see why you didn't think he's a Faunus. You could practically hide a body in that hair." Blake said.
"Mhm." Mine nodded. "...Wait, what the hell kind of mysteries have you been reading if you came to THAT logic?"
"Gonta didn't like labor village when Gonta was ten, so Gonta left village and lived with animals every so often. Seven years after age ten, Gonta started working at company who specializes in cataloging animals. Gonta works as entomologist. Ever since Remnant fused with Mushroom Kingdom, company sent Gonta and fellow entomologists to other worlds to catalogue animals there."
"Oooh, do you have any stories on any animals?" Mine asked.
"There was one feisty animal in Hyrule that Gonta had to defend himself from."
Earlier…
A Silver Lynel roared as Gonta tore off his shirt, letting out a roar of his own as they both wrestled as it was raining, both of them glaring into each others eyes.
Back in the present…
"You'd think silver horseman would not mind being documented. Unfortunately… Silver Horseman had big attitude problem."
He took on a Lynel… and a SILVER ONE AT THAT?! Everyone else thought in surprise.
"Gonta had no idea of Future Foundation until Gonta received message from company that Kyoko Kirigiri had found Gonta. Gonta pledged allegiance to Future Foundation, then Gonta found sister being tormented by lousy Hyena faunus."
"I mean, I kinda had it under control…" Ruby said.
"You did not." Gonta responded.
"Awww…"
"Sooo, hammer, huh?" Mine asked. "Pretty cool."
"Actually-" Gonta pulled it up where it started to turn into a butterfly net. "Gonta's weapon is just a butterfly net but has four functions. First function is what you see now. The second function-" He pressed a button as it transformed into a chainsaw. "Turns to chainsaw."
"...Holy shit." Meryl whispered, hoping it was quiet enough not for Oran to hear.
"Third function-" Gonta pressed another button as it transformed into a cannon. "Gonta fire different cannons based on what Dust Gonta uses. And fourth function-" He turned it into a hammer. "Is hammer."
Sonic let out a low whistle. "Impressive!"
"...Can we go back two? A freakin' butterfly net turns into a friggin' CHAINSAW. What the hell!" Mine said in disbelief.
"I'm more in awe over the cannon." Winter said.
"He showed all of this to us at home. I definitely geeked out over it." Ruby sighed happily.
"Like always." Byleth teased.
"Oh! Almost forgot. Name for weapon is Pan's Multinet."
Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, Shadow and Silver had warped over to their location.
"So, who won?" Sonic asked.
"It was a tie/I won by a few inches." Shadow and Silver said in unison, before both turned to give each other a competitive glare.
"Uh-huh…"
"That's not important right now." Shadow said. "What's more important… is this-" He pulled out a red Chaos Emerald.
"Wow! You got some Vault Keys?" Weiss asked.
"Who said anything about vault keys?"
Earlier…
Silver telekinetically started to pull the vault apart. "Hrrrrgh…" He grunted as the spires were pulled back just far enough for the barrier holding the Emerald to dissipate until it was destroyed. Shadow immediately took the Emerald right after.
"Piece of cake. Chaos…"
"Whoa, hang on!" Silver flew close to him.
"-Control!"
Back in the present…
"I mean, it was nothing, soooo…" Silver shrugged while Shadow had a proud smirk on his face.
"Man, we could've had you use that a long time ago." Sonic said.
"I didn't think about it." Silver admitted.

"Well, here's one of them." Iris said, referring to a portal that she, Rantaro, Jade and Futaba had walked up to.
"Let's hope it's not the one with the neurotoxin." Jade said.
"Our luck, it probably would be." Futaba chuckled, though with a hint of nervousness as they went into the portal, and found themselves on an island.
"...This island…" Iris whispered.
Futaba whistled. "Nice island. Pretty cozy if I'm being honest."
"Futaba… this is Iris and Rantaro's island."
"No way, really? That's so coo-... wait…" Futaba's eyes started to widen. "This is based on Iris's memory, so wouldn't that mean-"
SLAM!
A giant foot slammed behind the Winter Maiden. "...Let me guess. Amon?"
"Yup." Iris nodded as Futaba turned her head to see the datafied Grimm before her.
BGM: Cyber Space 3-2 - Go Slap (Sonic Frontiers)
"WHOA, HOLY SHIT! DEVILMAN?!"
"You're not the only one who said something like it." Iris said. "Fucking dammit, it's nearing the moment where I had to choose between my family…"
"We'll make this different." Rantaro said, readying his weapon as Jade pulled out her Poltergust and Futaba activated her Maiden powers.
"I hope so… I never wanted to relive this moment."
The Champion of Iris's Past - Data Amon
Iris closed her eyes, taking a deep breath and exhaling, reopening her eyes with a glare. "Let's fucking go, you asshole."
She immediately lunged at Amon, slashing his ankles as Amon kicked her, but she immediately rolled out of the way as Amon fired lasers at her, but she backflipped and returned fire.
The wings from Rantaro's sword circled around him and fired lasers into Amon, where he screeched and breathed fire at him, only for a barrier to pop up courtesy of Jade, who promptly pressed a button on her Poltergust, turning it into a mecha jetpack that she quickly flew up and proceeded to fire lasers at him.
Okay, so from what I'm seeing… Futaba thought to herself. "PERSONA!" She yelled, immediately going into her Oracle attire while still having her Maiden powers active. She immediately upped the attack and defense for all four of them before pressing a button, summoning a bomb and throwing it on Amon.
With a snarl, Amon grabbed a hold of Al Azif and tried to crush it with his hands. "Hands off!" She said, pressing a button as the Persona produced electricity to zap Amon away. With a snarl, Amon breathed fire and fired lasers as Futaba put up a reflective ice barrier.
Iris got in a stance and unleashed a heavier swing, swung up and slashed in the air a few times before shooting him in the chest with a fireball from her gunblade.
Amon let out a roar before trying to grab Jade, but she flew out of the way and pressed a button, as her lasers turned light blue and fired ice lasers, temporarily freezing Amon's skull which gave Futaba plenty of time to conjure up an ice mallet and sent it crashing down on Amon's head.
With a growl, Amon opened his mouth and lunged, trying to chomp down on Al Azif, but she got out of the way. "No thanks, I'm not into vore!" She said, firing lasers into him as Rantaro climbed up Amon from behind.
Amon felt something climb up him as he tried to shake him off, but Rantaro held on as much as he could, having his wing companions shoot him while he continued to climb until he stabbed him in the back.
Of course, Amon's wings popped out and knocked Rantaro off but Jade flew down and caught him. "Thanks!" Rantaro smiled as she took him down where he safely landed and then flew up while Oracle put up platforms for Iris as she hopped up on the cybernetic platforms and jumped off, front flipping and spinning, slashing him on the way down as she gracefully landed.
Suddenly, Amon got on all fours. Iris's eyes widened, knowing this all too well as he grabbed both Jade and Rantaro and slammed them into the ground, then he raised his arm up, ready to crush the two of them while pinning them down, and to Futaba's dismay, her ice powers didn't stop him.
Iris let out a growl. "Futaba! Add some energy to my sword if you can!"
"I haven't tried that yet but I'll give it a shot!"
Futaba furiously typed down onto her technomagic keyboard. "No way in hell am I going to let you cripple my girl…" She said, slamming the enter key as a technological aura wrapped around Iris's Gunblade.
"Not this time." She said as she lunged and slashed through Amon's arms, cutting through them like butter. Amon screeched as Rantaro and Jade quickly got out of it.
"Ha! What's wrong! Feeling angry that I disarmed you!" Futaba taunted. …I've been hanging around Nyx too long.
"I wouldn't get cocky if I were you…" Iris warned as her gunblade returned to normal. "Amon regenerates through cannibalism." She heard growling as she turned to see Grimm consisting of Beowolves, Satyrs, Sickle Claws, Spitfires and Creeps. "And here comes his food source!"
Futaba hopped out of her Persona, quickly landing on the ground where she immediately conjured up water and planted her hand on the ground, creating a massive tidal wave to wash the Grimm away and then immediately froze it, turning them to icicles as she snapped her fingers. The ice shattered, along with the Grimm.
"What food source?" She chuckled, and then noticed more coming. "You guys keep the big guy busy… I got some free EXP to obtain."
With a nod, the trio turned to Amon who angrily roared directly in Iris's face. "Let's go." Iris said as the trio ran after him while Futaba went to town on the Grimm.
Amon rose up, breathing fire at the trio as they got out of the way with Iris swiftly slashing at his knee, prompting Amon to kick her, but she immediately recovered and fired a burst shot, hitting Amon in the face as Rantaro went for the other leg and slashed him, then the latter had an idea and ran around him.
Amon raised his foot to try and squish him, but Rantaro jumped out of the way. Jade's lasers turned orange as she launched fire lasers into his face where Amon fired lasers back at her, which prompted Rantaro to whisper in Iris's ear.
"Oh! Good thinking!" She said, fist bumping him as they both went around his feet while Amon was busy trying to headbutt, chomp or tried to ballerina kick her but the scientist moved out of the way.
Once Rantaro and Iris were behind his feet, the two of them got in a stance before they both slashed at Amon's achilles tendons, which was enough for Amon to screech and fall on his knees before slouching over.
Iris climbed up over him and jumped up into the air before coming down in a spiral and cutting through his neck and landing behind him as he slowly disappeared into data after his head came off.
End BGM
"Hah… hah…" Iris panted, putting her Gunblade away. "...Fuck…" She cursed under her breath.
"What's wrong?" Rantaro asked.
"I should feel satisfied that I know there's a chance to actually beat him, but I'm not satisfied…"
"Is it because it wasn't the real deal?"
"Yeah… ugh, I SHOULD feel satisfied, but I'm not. I just feel empty…" Iris groaned. "Hey Futaba, are you-"
"Woo! I feel like I just leveled up!"
"...That's a yes." Jade laughed.
Rantaro chuckled. "She's a dork."
"But she's my dork." Jade smiled.
"Yeah." He nodded and then turned to Iris. "I feel like there's something else that's buggin' ya."
"What…?"
"Don't think I haven't noticed. For the past few days, even before we came here, you've been… a bit distant with me. I didn't want to say anything just to give you space, but… I figured I might as well bring it up considering we just killed a data version of Amon."
Iris sighed. "I didn't think you'd notice…" She admitted, closing her eyes. "Honestly, the truth is… I'm absolutely afraid of getting close to you. It took me a long time to be close to my team.. Because… I'm worried of losing someone I love. I was worried if I got close to Jade, Iris, Xena and… later on, Yagami… something… would happen to them. It almost happened when Yagami snapped after we took down Void Termina… and again when Shake King almost killed Nyx."
BGM: From Here to Eternity (Devilman Crybaby)
Iris closed her eyes. "Not just my team, but with other teams like RWBY, JNPR… anyone else… I mean… look at all the shit that Ruby went through… what Blake and Weiss went through… what Pyrrha's going through. It's all just… I swear, if I try to get close to someone, something horrific would happen like what Amon did to my uncle or something else happening that I could have tried to prevent from happening."
She let out another sigh. "I'm sorry… I'm starting to sound like Weiss. It's just… I want to be close to you, Rantaro, but… I don't know if I can-"
Almost immediately, Rantaro hugged her. "Hey… don't worry about it. While I can understand, all those things are beyond our control. Trust me, I don't think of you as a bad luck charm. It's going to be okay… you eventually got closer to your team along with everyone else."
"But-"
"Listen, it's okay to be close to someone, you doofus. The quicker you accept that, the better chance you'll get to know someone." Rantaro grinned. "And besides, I'm still standing, aren't I? Don't worry, we're not gonna let Amon do something so shitty ever again."
"Hey." Jade spoke up. "We'll help you. After all, we're partners, aren't we?" She winked.
"I know exactly how you feel… I've definitely been down that road before." Futaba said. "Do I need to get the thieves to steal your heart to calm your nerves?" She teased.
Iris groaned. "I really am a dumbass, aren't I…? I've been stuck in the past for so long, I just… need to move forward for once in my damn life."
She gave them all a smile. "Thanks, guys…" She said, pulling them all into a hug… not to mention she felt her heart softening around Rantaro.

Meanwhile…
"Aaaand that's the last of it!" Ratchet said, having gathered up all the spare parts with Clank.
"That's all seven hundred spare parts for the Koco." Clank said as they hopped over to give to the Koco, causing it to smile proudly but then frowned, letting out some noises.
"What's up?" Sonic wondered.
"Did we get the wrong parts?" Clank wondered. "Surely there could have been a better place to gather nuts and bolts over collapsible platforms over lava."
"That was a bit dicey…" Ratchet shuddered.
"No, it's not that." Tails said. "Their hero didn't show. They're worried something's happened." Tails translated before sighing. "It's like how I wasn't in my A game after Infinite attacked. One wrong turn and I just fell apart…"
"Whoa, what…?" Sonic looked at him in concern.
Tails turned to the Koco. "Listen to me. The others are counting on you. I'm here to help, so don't give up, okay?"
The Koco let out some happy noises while Sonic still looked a bit worried.
"You've got me worried, Tails. You wanna talk about it?"
"Not right now. Let's just focus on finding the Emeralds."
"All right…" He nodded as Tails wandered off with the Koco.
"Everything okay?" Ruby asked after she was chatting with Mine and Byleth.
"I feel like Tails is beating himself up over something… I think I need to cheer him up somehow."
"Hey." Knuckles walked over to them. "You guys see that?" He pointed up toward the laser cannon as he saw the green Chaos Emerald on top.
"Huh, so that's where it is."
Suddenly, the Chaos Emerald floated up into the air and flew to the side near the cliff.
"Gonta… Oran…"
"...Mom? Dad?" Oran wondered.
"Sound like them…" Gonta said, both of their eyes in a trance as they approached the Chaos Emerald.
"Join us… join us… join us…"
"Oran! Gonta!" Yang called out.
"It's like they're in a trance…" Ruby said.
Suddenly, the area changed into a forest, the lava being replaced by water and buildings as the Chaos Emerald floated above them all before a giant Taijitu materialized over the Chaos Emerald.
BGM: Forze Del Male (Kingdom Hearts III ReMind)
"The Devastator?!" Ruby exclaimed before noticing that she was back to normal as the King Taijitu tried to eat both Oran and Gonta, but in a flash, Sonic pushed them away while Knuckles delivered a mighty right hook to the snake's face, and then Nero jumped in and slashed his face.
With a snarl, the Devastator lunged and chomped down on Nero. When he pulled back, Nero was out of his sight… but then felt a knocking on his head, prompting his eyes to look up.
"I've seen snails move faster than that."
"Uuungh…" Oran shook his head as he and Gonta snapped out of it, seeing the Devastator in front of them. "What the…?!"
"I get it now. Blasted thing was invisible and made us think the Chaos Emerald was speaking." Sonic said as he readied Caliburn. "Alright, let's get to knockin' this thing down!"
"I'm getting real sick of Cyberspace." Byleth said.
"You and me both." Ruby agreed, readying her scythe as Mine, Yang, Dorothea and Nico also got ready to fight.
Devastating Virus - Data Devastator
The crown on the Devastator's head lit up, firing lightning bolts at Sonic but he quickly got out of the way and spin dashed into it, slashing him once he bounced off as Nero shot him up as well. The Devastator swung his tail into Nero, but he jumped over and landed on his tail, running up toward his spine, digging his sword into the scales.
Ruby immediately went into her Zinogre Rose form where Byleth went into her Awakened form, then Ruby grabbed her hand as she used her semblance to travel to the Devastator. Ruby swiftly got out and threw Byleth toward the Devastator.
"HAAAAAAAAH!" Byleth yelled, swinging Amyr into his snout and then teleporting above him, firing a flurry of arrows from Failnaught before throwing Areadbhar into his skull. Once it was lodged into his skull, Byleth swung Amyr down, hammering Areadbhar through it.
The Devastator hissed in pain before Byleth teleported away, flicking her wrist and slashing the Taijitu with the Sword of Creation. The Devastator responded by spitting out acid at Byleth in response, but she rolled out of the way as the Devastator burrowed underground.
"Oh no, you don't!" Knuckles dug underground as well. The ground quaked for a bit before the Taijitu breached out of the ground with Knuckles coming out with an uppercut, sending the Devastator high into the air.
Oran fired arrows at the airborne Taijitu while Gonta aimed Pan's Multinet in its cannon form and fired a red hot cannonball, exploding in fire as Yang, in her Shin Form, flew up and draconically punched the big snake to the ground.
"Okay… I guess we're all transforming here." Mine shrugged, going into her Demon Soul form and disappeared in darkness while Ratchet pulled out the RYNO and started firing at it.
Once the Devastator crashed into the ground, it got back up and glared at Ratchet and Clank as it slithered over and tried to snap down but Ruby zipped her way in and grabbed the top of his mouth, her feet firmly planted on his lower jaw and pushed his upper jaw up, which gave Ratchet plenty of time to fire the RYNO in his mouth, together with Dorothea unleashing a fiery inferno inside.
Ruby used one arm to fire lightning inside before shoving his upper jaw up and jumped out in time as Knuckles came up from underground and gave him a healthy uppercut to his jaw to make it snap back, then Nero grabbed his tail and swung it around in his demon form, sending him crashing into a building.
The Devastator looked up into the air after it snapped out of its daze, seeing Mine charging up a move. His crown glowed and fired lightning at Mine, but she teleported away and threw down a massive ball of darkness toward it.
The Devastator tried to slither underground but Sonic slashed his eye at the right moment, causing the Taijitu to screech in agony, opening its mouth in pain… and Mine's dark explosive attack eradicated it, unleashing a powerful explosion that left nothing but the Chaos Emerald.
End BGM
"I honestly remember this guy being a lot trickier." Ruby said.
"Well, we have gotten more powerful over time." Byleth pointed out.
"Fair enough!" Ruby nodded with a smile as Sonic picked up the Chaos Emerald.
"Aaaand that's another one down!" He smiled, as the area went back to normal.
"Ugh…" Oran sighed. "I'm sorry for falling for that."
"Gonta sorry too…"
"Aw, cheer up, you guys. Anyone would have fallen for something like that." Ruby reassured, giving Oran a hug and attempting to give Gonta a hug too.
Meanwhile, with Sage…
"Is there something that I could do…?" Sage wondered as she paced around. "I wonder if there's anything I can do to cheer him up."
As she was lost in her own thoughts, she was unaware of something sneaking up on her.
"He should not hide his feelings. He has left his memos everywhere. Perhaps- OOOOMPH!"
Her face hit the cybernetic pavement. "Nnngh…!" She winced as she looked up to see Monokuma pinning her down.

"Mmmph… what…?!"
She blasted him away, only for more Monokumas to show up and started to attack her. Sage quickly tried to fend them off, firing lasers and blast attacks, but one Monokuma snuck up and pinned her to the ground.
"Agh!" She grunted as more Monokumas started to dogpile on her, all of them protruding their claws, ready to slice her up and not giving her a chance to counterattack.
"KNOCKBACK!"

Immediately, Knockback bullets struck the Monokumas, getting them off of Sage as Fire bullets then struck the Monokumas at a rapid pace until they were all destroyed.
"What…?"
"Are you alright?"
Sage looked up, seeing her savior approaching her. Her eyes widening in surprise. "Kyoko Kirigirl…"
"I've had my fair share of Monokuma bots. Believe me, they're always a pain in the ass." Kyoko said. "You must be Sage."
"How do you…?"
Kyoko pulled out a Memo.
"I'm deploying my most advanced artificial intelligence into the ancient network spanning the Starfall Islands. I've codenamed it "Sage". Sage will take over the alien network, take control of all its resources, and give them to me! …Once I'm out of here."
"Oh."
"Don't worry, I come in peace. I've been finding a lot of Eggman's memories in Cyberspace. It confirmed my suspicions that he was not truly himself during his invasion. A man on a mission, ready to do whatever it takes to save Remnant from Salem."
"Unfortunately, that did not happen…"
"Indeed."
"I don't know if you've noticed… but the doctor… he…" Sage closed her eyes. "He's not showing it, but he truly sounds defeated. Like he's given up or something."
She put her hand close to her chest. "What… is this feeling that I'm experiencing?"
Kyoko smiled. "I have a pretty good idea. Let's go find your old man together, shall we?" She asked, offering her hand.
Sage stared at Kyoko and with a soft smile, she nodded, taking her hand.
