We're here! Finally! A new chapter posted! I give you... Paintballing! With some drama and chaos here and there and everywhere!
As per usual it seemed nowadays, Chris woke the campers in his favorite way. And it wasn't an air horn. The host flew his plane over the cabins, grinning like the madman he was, and winking wickedly at the camera, pointing at him.
Duncan was the first to react, throwing himself under his bunk. He banged his head under the wooden frame, jerking Harold awake, who was on the bottom bunk.
"Ahh! Police!" The punk yelled, panicked. They couldn't find him! If they did he wouldn't be able to win the money!
"Gosh! What's happening?" Harold exclaimed, fumbling around for his glasses.
"Whaz' goin' on?" Geoff slurred, rubbing his eyes.
Ezekiel fell off his bed, getting tangled in his sheets, Luca screamed as he jolted upwards, and Jaedan and Tyler just looked pissed off.
"They're coming, yo! They found me!" Duncan yelled from under the bed. "Don't give me away!"
"...huh?" Geoff finally said.
Harold, who finally got his glasses on, muttered, "shame, dude. It was nice knowing ya."
"The police are here?" Luca yelped. "Are they like hunters?! Do they have weapons?" The boy dove under his and Jaeden's bunk, hiding too.
On the Girls' side, Eva had broken the door, ripping it off its hinges to see what was going on. She glared at Chris' plane.
In the Gopher boys' side, Camilo had shapeshifted in his panic and ended up with a baby's head and a grown man's body. Justin, after getting over his own panic, started laughing.
Cody hopped off the top bunk, still half asleep. He turned and saw a baby looking back at him and screamed, falling backwards in his startle. "Woah, Camilo, what happened to your face, dude?" The Geek asked.
"Breakfast," Owen grumbled, still asleep.
On the Gopher Girls' side, Sophia groggily got up while a panicked Izzy hid under their bunk, talking about some RCMP here to get her and how they wouldn't catch her alive.
When the former redhead touched the ground, Izzy grabbed her ankles and dragged her under. "Ow, Izzy! That was my face that hit the ground the second time. Just to let you know!"
"Listen, I wasn't prepared! I need your help sneaking away before they catch me!" Izzy pleaded.
Gwen, who peeked out the window, sighed and said, "it's just stupid Chris and his stupid plane, y'all."
"That fucker," Sophia cursed.
"I agree!" Izzy said, now annoyed. "I thought my time on the show was up!"
"Whatever, he just loves ruining our mornings," Heather grumbled. She hopped off her bunk and grabbed her clothes and towel before heading to the communals.
When Chris landed and jumped out, he had to duck as a door was thrown at him. He glanced up to see Eva, raging mad and beelined it out of there.
The hurried instructions they got as he ran were: "Uhm, uh, meet at Bonfire in ten minutes!" AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"That's the tenth time we have to fix our fucking door, Eva! Thanks!" Courtney bellowed.
The Bodybuilder slowly turned to the CIT, grinning menacingly. "Clearly, you need a door thrown at you too. Or maybe I can simply break your legs."
The brunette paled, backed back inside the cabin, reappeared with her stuff and ran for the communals.
"I'm gonna get that shithead!" Duncan grumbled as he finally withdrew from hiding.
"Today's challenge is gonna be an EXTREME. IMPACT. CHALLENGE!"
"Yeah, sounds like my thing!" Eva punched her palm.
"Sounds cool," Duncan said, shrugging.
"We're totally READY!" Owen returned, enthusiastically.
Suddenly, Chris pulled out many cans of beans and started hurling them at the teens. Izzy caught three of them before they hit and handed two to Sophia and Gwen, who thanked her. Camilo jumped up and caught his, Heather intentionally let hers fly past, Cody's hit his head and then another hit his stomach. Owen grabbed one from him. Justin caught his own too and gave it a look of disgust.
"What. Is this?" The Model asked.
"Brekkie," Chris replied.
"No, "brekkie" is crepes, croissants, even Chef's nasty ass burnt eggs!" Heather snapped.
Luca tried opening his can with the opener offered, but it ended up flying from his hands and hitting Duncan in the face. Luca slowly inched out of sight.
Owen was the only one happy with the beans.
"This next challenge is, drumroll please," Chris said enthusiastically. Some people (barring Gwen, Heather, Courtney, Eva and Justin, of course) did as he said. "HUNTING!"
Luca screamed. Duncan cracked his knuckles. Eva smirked. Izzy cheered. Jaedan shrugged.
"Yep, I think I'll like today's challenge," Duncan said.
"Same," Eva agreed, actually smiling.
"Um… what are we hunting for?" Ezekiel asked, nervous and looking at an upset Luca worriedly.
Chris held up a paintball gun and some of the contestants, who had been disapproving at first, sighed in relief.
"Oh, we're playing paintball, huh?" Harold asked, grinning. "I'm quite adequate at paintballing."
"Are you now?" Chris smirked then shot the Nerd, knocking him over.
"Nerd," Duncan said, smirking.
"Loser," Eva added.
"Get up, Harold!" Courtney snapped. To her team as a whole, she yelled, "we need to win this! So no being wussies about fake guns!"
"Never took you as a violent person, Courtney," Jaedan said. "Trying to rebel now since you're not currently sucking up to teachers and students?"
Some of the team started laughing when suddenly Chris shot some paintballs at them. "Zip. Mouth. Now!" He ordered.
"Well, as long as we're not actually hurting animals…" Luca sighed.
Chris smirked. "Right, you are Luca. You won't hurt animals. You'll hurt each other!" The others gasped while some exchanged looks at their opponents. Courtney at Heather, the twins at each other (though not venomously) and Justin at Camilo (too bad he wouldn't be able to get back at his own teammate).
He led them into the forest until they reached a clearing and they all crowded in front of some supplies. There were more paintball guns of green and red, hunter hats and protection glasses for everyone, and for some reason fake deer antlers and red noses.
"What're those for?" Luca asked, chuckling a little at the reindeer things. "Are we playing dress up?"
"Good question, Luca. That's for the people who will be deer. And you're lucky to be one of them," Chris said.
Luca sighed as he was handed the antlers and nose while Duncan snickered.
Unfortunately, for him he was also chosen as a deer.
"This is bullshit, man! I'm a way better hunter!" The punk complained.
Courtney started laughing.
"Shut up!" Duncan snapped, blushing.
"Aww, but you just look so cute with that nose."
Chris rolled his eyes, amused and threw antlers at Courtney too. "Aww, c'mon!"
The rest of the Bass stayed absolutely quiet, even though Eva looked like she wanted to laugh. Obviously, they were afraid to make a sound in case they were chosen as deer too.
"And the last two deer will be…"
They all sweated.
"Ezekiel and Sadie."
Ezekiel sighed as Sadie cried, "but what about Katie? I don't wanna be a deer alone, being hunted by the other team!"
"Can't she be a hunter too, Chris?" Katie protested.
"No."
The two girls started wailing for all it was worth as their teammates covered their ears in annoyance. Finally, Jaedan stepped forward and whispered something that must have been reassuring because they both shut up.
"That was nice…" Ezekiel said. "Whatever you said."
Jaedan sighed. "I'm gonna regret it though. But I think it might be cheating to do it, so I'm doing it."
"That leaves Jaedan, Harold, Tyler, Geoff, Katie and Eva as Bass Hunters," Chris said.
"Dude, you've got a Nerd, squealing girl, clumsy Jock, and Jaedan as hunters?" Duncan asked, looking incredulous.
"Hey, Jaedan will be a good hunter!" Katie surprisingly protested before Luca or Ezekiel worked up the courage.
"Well, whatever he's up to, I don't trust him," the punk said, glaring at the brunette.
"Dude, it's for the good of our team…"
"Whatever."
"Anyhoo, Gopher hunters will be Camilo, Owen, Sophia and Izzy," Chris listed off as he threw guns and caps to the other team.
"What?" Heather shouted.
"Aw, man, never mind. Their hunters are way worse!" Duncan said, laughing. "Two redheads, Fatso and Camilo?"
"What do you mean by "redhead?'" Sophia asked, eyes narrowed.
"All redheads are crazy, duh," Duncan explained.
Sophia shot him with her gun. "Like that kinda crazy?"
"Hey!"
"And what's wrong with Camilo?" Izzy asked, cocking her gun, threateningly.
"I don't like him."
Duncan was shot once more with orange paint.
"Duncan! Stop! You're making a disadvantage for the team, you dumbass!" Courtney hollered.
"Oh, no… does that mean-?" Gwen began, eyes widening.
Chris smirked. "Yep. The rest of you; Cody, Justin, Heather and Gwen are deer for your team. Good luck, especially with Eva out for ya."
Gwen's eye twitched with annoyance, Heather started complaining, Justin started whining and Cody glanced at the other team. Eva smirked at him and cocked her gun.
This won't end well, the Geek thought.
The Bass deer headed down one path. Sadie was looking nervous, but reassured as well. Courtney wondered what Jaedan had planned, but if it would help keep her and Katie focused, she was alright with it. Duncan was looking pissed as he plucked at the red nose he had on. Ezekiel and Luca talked to each other at the rear of the group.
"We only have to worry about Izzy in my opinion," Ezekiel said. "She's the crazy one, eh."
"Yeah, I guess," Luca said, feeling slightly better. Maybe he could hide somewhere well. Chris never said they couldn't hide, after all. And maybe his team would be impressed by his cleverness.
The Gopher deer, meanwhile, had taken the opposite path from their opponents.
"This is probably the stupidest thing I've done in my life," Gwen muttered.
"Aside from your Gothness?" Heather asked, sneering.
"Aw, it can't be that bad…" Cody said. Then he gulped and said, "we're screwed. They're gonna hunt us down like deer!"
"Um, yeah, dude. That's the point," Justin said, rolling his eyes. "How about we split up. You girls stick together and we'll go another direction." He indicated himself and Cody. "That way all four of us won't be tramping around, drawing attention easily, but you'll also have someone to watch your back."
The other three slowly blinked before Heather replied, "not a bad idea, Justin."
(Confessional Cam)
Heather- Justin's smarter than I thought. Guess it was a good call, pulling him into my alliance… especially now that Beth and Lindsay are gone, I only have his, Izzy and Owen's votes… which means we're tied. /she punches her palm/ I need Camilo's vote. It'd be nice to have him by my side… /her eyes widen and she quickly corrects herself/ Our side, I mean! I can't believe he declined last time!
Gwen- Thanks, Justin. Thanks for sticking me with Heather. I already deal with her enough in general being on her team!
Cody- I actually think I'm gonna ace being a surviving deer. As a person who gets picked on in school, I've become a fast runner.
Justin- See? Who needs Noah now? I've got the looks and smarts! And soon I'll outsmart Camilo! And win the whole thing!
"Come on," Gwen sighed and started walking away.
"Don't tell me what to do, Weird Goth Girl!" Heather snapped, even as she followed.
"Come on," Cody said to Justin and the two boys started walking in a random direction. "Maybe if we head very deep into the woods, they won't bother looking."
"Yeah, and then we'll hide," Justin said.
"Alright…" Jaedan put his hand out in the middle and the others followed suit, putting theirs in the middle on top of each other. "Bass!"
"Can't wait to hit Heather!" Tyler yelled, pumping his fist. He accidentally pulled the trigger and hit his own chin.
"Nice one, doofus," Duncan said, rolling his eyes.
"Whatever, let's crush the rodents!" Eva roared. "And Tyler, try not to shoot yourself anymore before you see the actual target."
Tyler glared at her.
As the others headed off in their own directions, Katie and Jaeden were left, standing there.
"Come on, let's find Sadie," the Biker said.
"And you'll be her bodyguard?"
"That's what I said."
"Eee! Thanks, Jaedan!" She hugged him and ran off. Jaedan smiled, shrugged and ran after her.
"Let's get some deer!" Izzy roared, pumping her gun in the air.
"Hell yeah!" Sophia agreed as she high-fived her and Camilo. Owen nearby, splashed some yellow liquid on himself.
"Um, dude… What're you doing?" Camilo asked warily.
"Masking my scent," Owen said, proudly. The other three's eyes widened. "Want some?" He held the jar out to them. "It's the freshest pee I made."
"I'm out!" Sophia ran. Camilo and even Izzy followed.
Gwen walked through the foliage, the sun blazing overhead.
"This is such a horrible day! And I'm starving!" Heather complained. She hadn't stopped since they started the whole challenge.
"Will. You. Shut. Up?!"
"Um, I don't talk to lowlifes, you depressing freak!" The Queen Bee snapped.
"That's it!" The Goth threw her arms up in the air and stormed off, leaving Heather all alone. "Good luck surviving, Rich Rat!"
"Why you–!" Heather grit her teeth, seeing as Gwen was long gone before she could get her insult out.
"Ooh, look, berries!" Cody said, picking some off the bush.
"Come on!" Justin called back to his teammate, rolling his eyes. "Keep up! We've still got some ground we can cover."
"And then what? We climb trees?"
"That or we can hide in a cave," the Model said.
"If it's empty, right?"
"Oh, I sure totally wanna hide with a bear," Justin replied sarcastically.
"Sorry, Noah."
"Call me that again and I'll ditch your ass!"
"Sor-ree!" Cody rolled his eyes.
(Confessional Cam)
Cody- I'm starting to like Justin as much as Noah. Which isn't at all!
Justin- Man, Cody is so annoying. Possibly more than Noah was.
Gwen- I hate that rich bitch!
Heather- I hate that emo bitch!
Camilo- Sophia, Izzy and I are having fun talking about life as we hunt. I'm glad we're a team and that we all get along.
Tyler spotted Cody and Justin from his perch on the tree. He was ready to jump down and ambush them when he accidently slipped instead.
The two Gopher boys ran for it with the Jock giving chase, shooting at them and missing each time.
Justin hopped across some rocks over the river, Cody following, although the Tech Geek almost slipped. Tyler, on the other hand did slip.
And hit his crotch on the rock. "Ouchie!" He whined and splashed into the river.
Heather was running from Geoff and Harold. She lost them along a random path. The bushes rustled and she prepared to run again. Camilo stepped out.
She sighed then straightened up, glaring at him. He smirked and leaned against a tree. "How's the chase going?"
"Just fine! Did you even get any deer?"
"I shot Zeke a few times, but not Luca."
"Why because you don't wanna make the little brat cry?"
Camilo blinked then said, "um, no. Little dude's just surprisingly fast. He got outta there before I could aim at him." He paused then looked around. "Um, where's Gwen?"
"She ditched me, the annoying freak!" Heather crossed her arms. Camilo walked up to her and she startled when he put his hand on her arm.
She looked and wished she hadn't when she realized how close his face was to hers now.
"Hey, are you okay?" He asked, genuinely. Heather felt some weird fluttery feeling inside as she stared, gray eyes wide.
What was going on?
Was his face closer?
Was she moving?
She glanced at his lips.
He put his other hand on her waist.
Suddenly, someone appeared.
"Oh great, I found you again," Gwen sighed. Then she paused, frowning and glancing between the two teens, who were suddenly on opposite sides of the clearing as they had sprang apart so fast. "Um… I'm just gonna go get lost again." She glanced between them once more, frowning more than usual at Heather and left.
Heather turned to where Camilo had been standing only to see he had somehow disappeared very quick.
She bit her lip, worried (which she hated) and very confused.
Sophia and Izzy froze as they spotted Duncan. The two redheads waited until he was near and coated him.
"Ahhhhh, shit!" The punk cursed a great deal before bolting. The two friends high-fived.
"This has been so fun!" Izzy squealed. Where'd Camilo wander off to?"
"Probably followed a trail," Sophia said, shrugging.
The two redheads knew they were on different sides and yet out of the whole team, they were still close friends. Why not just have fun for now instead of holding grudges?
Sophia nudged Izzy and pointed forward to see Luca wandering about.
They both moved forward very stealthily. They would have even gotten him if freaking Owen hadn't come out of nowhere, attempting to get the boy.
Instead the big blonde tripped and given enough warning, Luca bolted and was gone like that.
"Owen, you big oaf!" Izzy yelled.
"Sorry," Owen said, sheepishly. "My stealth is off today."
"I'm sure," Sophia muttered.
Eva had only managed to get Gwen so far. She roared in frustration and kicked a nearby tree. Tyler fell out of it and accidently shot the Bodybuilder.
"I will murder you in your sleep!" She threatened, pointing her gun at him.
"Pretty sure murder is still illegal," Tyler whimpered. He scrambled up. "Look, you messed me up. That's how I get my shooting range. Watch."
He scrambled back up the tree. After a few seconds, he announced, "Heather is coming this way!"
Eva hid behind a tree as the Queen Bee came into view, running. Tyler shot, but it ricocheted off a rock, whizzed past Heather's ear and hit Eva in the stomach instead.
Heather, ran, screaming about not wanting any paint in her hair. Tyler paled and fell down the tree. He scrambled to his feet and dashed off before Eva could do anything.
Jaedan walked with Katie and Sadie. He had promised them he would guard Sadie from any hunters on the other team if only to keep them calm.
He had been doing well, might even have succeeded. Then Tyler came.
He jogged past, waved his gun amicably at them, tripped and shot wildy, covering them all with paint.
"What the– TYLER!" Jaeden bellowed. He glanced at Katie and Sadie and to his dismay they were both covered in paint as well.
All three of them turned angry glares on the Jock, still on the ground. He smiled back up at them, sheepishly.
Cody followed Justin, eating his berries and unaware he was dropping a trail of them. "Mmm, are you sure you don't want any, Justin?" He asked around a mouthful of blueberries.
Justin was ready to snap when suddenly a growl sounded behind them. "Is that your stomach, Cody?"
"B-b-b-"
"Those berries must not he enough."
"B-b-b-"
"Yeah, berries, I get it, dude!" Justin stood there, looking around, but not behind him at whatever was up with Cody. He was wondering what their next move should be. They hadn't even had to try escaping from Tyler.
"BEAR!" Cody finally managed to get the word out as a grizzly towered over them. Justin turned around, horrified. Especially when the bear's eyes zeroed in on the Model and basically became hearts.
Justin bolted with Cody following as the bear gave chase, wanting to catch the beautiful human being it had seen. As for the scrawny one, he supposed he would make a good snack.
Duncan was carving a skull into a tree when Courtney approached him. "Ugh! Look at you! You're worse at this game than I thought!"
She sounded smug as if she was better now because she was spotless. Duncan just rolled his eyes, but kept his smirk. "Well, it's Izzy. Ya know how she is. And her sidekick, equally crazy Sophia."
Courtney suddenly looked serious. "Hey, has Heather ever talked to you?" She asked.
"Who? Queenie from the Gophers? Like I'd want to deal with that whining bitch. Why?"
"I think she got Bridgette voted off. Maybe even DJ or Luca would've been gone by now," the CIT said, tapping her lips thoughtfully.
Duncan frowned actually paying attention now. "Hmm. Strange a person from the other team somehow influenced our team!"
"Just," Courtney began. "If we lose again, watch our teammates before the elimination to see if anyone approaches."
Duncan saluted. "Aye, aye, captain."
"Oh, shut up."
Courtney started walking at the same time as Duncan. Thing is they were walking in the opposite direction and headed towards each other, colliding.
"Ugh, seriously?!" Courtney snapped as she struggled to get her antlers untangled from Duncan's. "Get off!"
"Right, like I wanna be hunched over like this!" The punk scoffed.
(Confessional Cam)
Courtney- I know we could have just taken them off, but I didn't want to risk being disqualified. That's the only reason, okay? /she glares at the camera as if being accused for something/
Duncan- She so can't resist me.
"Now what?"
"You wanna make out?"
"..."
Cody and Justin ran until their was a fork in the path. "I'll go this way and you–" the Geek watched Justin already running down one path.
A roar sounded behind him and he slowly turned to see the bear tower over him. He gulped and closed his eyes, preparing to die.
Suddenly, a paintball whizzed over his head and the bear roared in pain. After a few more hits it, it took off running.
Cody whipped around to see Tyler trip out into the clearing with Geoff behind him. "Dudes, you saved me!" He cried, feeling emotional and hugging them both.
"No probs, dude. No one should have to get mauled by a bear," Geoff said cheerfully.
"Yeah!" Tyler pumped his fist. He was so enthusiastic he squeezed his trigger.
And it finally hit the right target. Cody winced and looked at his shirt, covered in blue paint. Then he shrugged and grinned, saying, "better than being mauled by a bear."
"Whoo, I finally got one!" Tyler yelled. Geoff high-fived him.
Suddenly, the Loudspeaker blared and Chris' voice said, "the game is over. Back to the edge of the woods, campers."
"Okay. Is it even worth observing and concluding?" Chris chortled.
Cody and Gwen were covered in paint, but Justin and Heather were spotless. As for the Bass…
Literally every single one of them were covered in paint. Minus surprisingly Luca.
"Wait, where are Courtney and Duncan?" Geoff asked, scratching his head worriedly.
Ezekiel pointed behind them and they all turned to see the two, walking awkwardly, their antlers tangled. Jaedan wolf whistled, Katie and Sadie giggled and Geoff and Tyler smirked.
"You sly dog, Duncan!" Geoff called.
"The girl can't keep her hands off me. Not that I can blame her."
He got a swift quick to the crotch. Eva helped them untangle and as Duncan rolled around the ground, Chris announced, "Gophers win. An easy one too, if I'm being honest."
The Bass glared at Tyler.
The Jock gulped, sure this wasn't a good thing.
Duncan stood on the porch of his team's cabin like some guard. Heather watched this from the distance and rolled her eyes. Like that was helpful. Some of his teammates weren't even in the cabin.
She turned and went searching for the right people. She found Eva, Geoff and Harold in the Mess Hall, trying to get early dinner. No one else was there except Chef, too busy making stuff in the kitchen.
"The hell do you want?" Eva snapped immediately.
"I'm here to let you know how much you guys sucked today," Heather said, smirking. Eva got up in her face.
"You wanna repeat that?"
Harold and Geoff exchanged nervous glances.
"Oh, I don't mean anything, but… I just wanted to let you all know who was the cause of that. After all, I was a witness."
"Um, yeah, it was that useless idiot, Tyler!" Eva snapped.
"No, it wasn't actually his fault, you see…"
She told them and they stared, shocked. Harold, who was more perceptive, said, "yeah, right."
"Yeah, why would you help us?" Geoff asked, frowning.
"I'm not just helping you all. I'm sure the teams will disperse soon. And who would you rather have stay to help the team for now? A coward or someone who tries at least?"
The three Bass contemplated this as Heather left, smirking.
(Confessional Cam)
Heather- Like I've once said "I'm so running this game." I could get rid of Talentless Jock another time. /she pauses, thinking of something/ I don't think Camilo can be convinced to betray his friends… and yet he's so… weird.
Camilo- That moment between us in the woods was kinda weird. /he chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck/ I dunno, what overcame me.
Cody- Man, that was the scariest moment of my life! It's nice to have friends on the other team, who don't always care for rivalry. Imagine if it had been Duncan or Courtney? I hate to think they'd just leave me, but from what I've seen of the way they act…
Duncan- So like I said "Courtney totally wants me." And I saw Luca was the only one aside from Courtney on our team, who didn't have any paint on him? Maybe he isn't so bad at the game, after all. /he tilts his head/ Well, depends on what the challenge is.
Owen- Man, I didn't get a single deer! /he sighs/
Sophia- Like I said "that challenge was actually pretty fun."
Jaedan- /arms crossed/ Tyler is so stupid. He had one job! Shoot the enemy! Not his own team!
Geoff- Tyler's my buddy! He's been so fun to have around every since his girlfriend was voted off and my crush was booted! And one day we'll see them again, but not so soon I hope. I'd rather go to the finals with that dude! So… I'm gonna have to take Heather's suggestion… even if she is in the other team. Did she really see what she said she saw?
"I literally thought we would have this challenge in the bag, you guys!" Courtney lectured. "I mean, c'mon. They have eight people and there were only four deer!"
"I got Gwen," Eva said.
"I got Cody," Tyler said quietly.
"You're not getting away that easily," Duncan sneered.
"Anyways," Chris interrupted. "There are ten marshmallows and eleven of you. When I call your name, come claim your safety."
Courtney and Duncan glared at Tyler more, Geoff glanced uneasily at Katie and Sadie, Luca for once looked confident.
No way they'd kick me off. I didn't get hit with paint, at all.
"The camper who–"
"DoesnotreceiveamarshmallowmustwalkthedockofshameboardtheboatoflosersandwillneverevercomeBACK! THERE!" Jaedan yelled, startling half the team. "Now call the names!"
Chirs frowned. "Moment spoiler," he mumbled then said, "Luca, Courtney. You both survived the challenge and your team agreed neither of you should be booted just yet."
The two walked up to get their marshmallows, looking pleased. Luca glanced at Ezekiel, who smiled and gave him a thumbs-up.
"Ezekiel." The prairie boy jumped up, pumping a fist in the air.

"Well, no, but usually you call us both at the same ti–"
"Just come get your freaking marshmallow!" The host snapped. Katie jumped and hurried to get her marshmallow.

"Eva." The Bodybuilder got up, glaring at Tyler. So he had voted for her, she knew. The Jock alongside Sadie both started sweating. Katie looked close to a breakdown as she stared intently at her friend. Geoff bit his knuckles as his new friend sat on the chopping block.
"Campers, this is the final marshmallow and it goes to…"

"Tyler."
"What?!" Courtney and Duncan shouted.
"Seriously?" Eva scoffed.
"NOOOOOO!" Katie wailed, running to Sadie, who was gaping in shock before she burst into tears.
Tyler's marshmallow hit his head as he gaped himself. Beside him the two girls cried and cried. It didn't make the moment feel victorious at all.
Not only were they sad, but half of the team had wanted him gone.
He sighed and picked up his marshmallow going to join his team. This was how it had been exactly when it had been down to him and Bridgette. And he knew if he asked anyone who wasn't Geoff, they'd definitely say they would rather have him gone.
After a lot of struggling, Chef pried Sadie away from Katie and dragged her down the Dock of Shame, throwing her on the Boat of Losers.
"And that's that, folks. Goodnight!" Chris said, clapping his hands before taking his leave.
As everyone else left, Jaeden went to the dock where Katie sat, crying. He sat next to her. "Hey, sorry, Sadie got the boot," he said.
"It's okay. I guess I should have known we wouldn't both make it far. Though it would have been nice," she sniffled.
"Well, c'mon." The Biker got to his feet and offered her his hand. "Sadie wouldn't want you to sulk. You should try and win for her. Let that be your new determination."
Katie wiped her tears away and smiled. "You're right." She took his hand and he pulled her up.
They walked back to their cabin together passing a certain Shapeshifter. Camilo stood outside his cabin, glancing their way and waving. Jaedan waved back, but Katie was still a bit down, staring at the ground.
Once they were gone, Camilo was outside all alone. He glanced up at the stars.
"What're you doing?"
Usually hearing that voice would make him happy. Then he'd find a way to tease or confuse her.
Now he just swallowed nervously and turned to see Heather standing their, arms crossed.
"Just… looking at the stars?" He said, voice questioning. She always seemed so annoyed for just about anything.
But now…
She blinked and glanced away for a moment. "Oh," she said, voice barely a whisper.
After a moment of tense silence, Camilo couldn't take it anymore and said, "um, wanna join me?" Before she could answer, he quickly added, "without trying to rope me into an alliance."
To his surprise she actually smiled. It wasn't a full, genuine smile, but more of a half smile, a smirk. Only now he realized that was just her way of smiling. Or so he thought.
When she joined his side, she said, "look, I know you don't want to leave your friends, but at some point you'd be voting each other off, ya know."
"Yeah, but at least I'd be competing with people I get along with and we'd be having fun and not fighting and hating," Camilo replied easily.
Heather looked surprised and disappointed at his answers. "Fine. Good luck getting to the final three."
"Right back at ya. Besides, I wouldn't wanna be all buddy-buddy with Mister My-Face-Is-My-Best-Feature."
Heather looked away, smirking. Camilo nudged her and she nudged him back.
"Tomorrow, I'm gonna go back to kind of hating you," she admitted.
"But we're friends right now?" Camilo asked, surprised yet pleased.
Heather looked at him and hesitated before saying, "Yeah. I can tolerate you, I guess."
And with that they gazed up at the stars.
They never noticed a certain redhead glaring at them from the window of the cabin.
(Voting Confessional)
Courtney- I vote the talentless jock, obviously!
Duncan- Bye, Tyler.
Eva- /scoffs/ Stupid Jock… but, I think it would be best to get rid of the bubblegum twins, so they don't cost a challenge again. So I'm voting Sadie.
Ezekiel- Um, Geoff said Sadie had to go. I'm not sure why, but I'm still trying to not be a target, eh.
Geoff- Sorry, Sadie. I know I shouldn't be taking Heather's word, but apparently you cost us the challenge by having Jaedan and the other hunters take the bullets for you. /he scratches his head/ Now that I think about it that kinda sounds like too much, dude. I only saw Jaedan and her best friend, Katie with her. /shrugs/ Meh.
Harold- Sadie, I suppose. I'd vote Duncan or Courtney. Not that it would do much.
Jaedan- Ya know, Katie and Sadie weren't actually that annoying. They actually talk about fun things. Of course, they still squeal a lot, but they weren't as bad as Tyler. You're outta here, dude!
Katie and Sadie- Sadie- I know Tyler messed up, but Courtney still gets on my nerves.
Katie- Oh, same. After we vote her off we should get rid of Eva next.
Sadie- Right? Can you believe she broke the cabin door again?
Luca- Um, I hope she doesn't hear, but Eva. She doesn't get any less scary.
Tyler- I'm voting Sadie. She messed up today is what I heard. And hey, we lost, but I'm just glad I saved my little buddy, Cody, from that bear.
Sadie- 5
Tyler- 3
Courtney- 2
Eva- 1
What did you think of this chapter? I'll get the next chapter up ASAP.
Obviously, Katie and Sadie couldn't last together for too long. Compared to other AU's I think mine has them stay in the game together the longest.
At least, Katie got a new crush out of it.
How did you like Camilo and Heather's bonding? Good? Bad?
