Chapter 14
Reviews:
TwinstarDragon: thank you for finally reviewing chapter 12. You are normally on top of reviewing my stories. Regarding your review for chapter 13: Izuku's aware that eri has some feelings towards him, as a daughter does to her father. However, he doesn't want to get her hopes up, should it turn out that tsukuyomi was talking about someone else. Or were you talking about tomoe and mio? In regards to eri, she did NOT die and reincarnate. Back in chapter 06, eri was saved by charlie and alastor. She was then taken to tsukuyomi, healed, lost her quirk and sent to the world where izuku now resides. Here's another way of looking at it: izuku was killed, but eri was transported/summoned/transferred.
Previously:
"Dawn is breaking," tomoe said. Mio looked back up. "Yes, let us hurry on the task before us, so we can return to the young master," mio said,
Now:
The scene changes to the inside of a stone/wood cell. There's no toilet, just a bucket. The only door to the room locks from the outside. The sole occupant is lying in the middle of the floor, dazed, eyes blurry and unable to move.
I came to this town, with my little sister, to be adventurers. Also, to reclaim my family's lost treasured shortsword, that an ancestor of mine lost, against a beast. But…, the girl remembered what led her to this situation.
Flashback
She was with her sister, bleeding and exhausted. "Rinon, i can't do this anymore. You need to run," she said, before she collapsed. Rinon reluctantly did so, but was caught, not five minutes later.
Flashback end
Rinon, i'm so…, the girl thought to herself. "Is this her?" she heard murkily. Her fingers twitched. "Oh, she's alive," she heard another voice say. "She looks barely alive, though," the first voice said. "She was most likely used as an experimental guinea pig," the second voice said, getting clearer as the owner of the second voice leaned in, letting the girl get a clear look at her, while also letting her voice come through. "All she should need is this…" the second girl said. The girl healed, letting her move, think, hear and see better.
I can move! She thought. "Wow, impressive," the woman with the green hair said, as she looked at the blackette. "Um… who are you two?" she asked. "I'm tomoe," the greenette, tomoe, introduced herself. "Mio," the blakette, mio, simply said.
"Now, come, we must return to the young master," mio said before trying to open the door. It was locked (of course). "Ugh, this door is in my way!" mio stated as she dissolved the door with darkness, as well as some of the wall. "Put this on," tomoe said, tossing a blanket to the girl.
The girl left the room, blanket wrapped around her shoulders, when a male voice called out. "Where do you think you're going?" the male asked calmly. "Who are you?" tomoe asked, while putting an arm in front of the girl.
"He's zetsuya's strongest fighter: mils ace," the girl said. "You're the strongest fighter in zetsuya? Aren't you supposed to be some kind of hero?" tomoe asked.
"You're wrong, mils is-" the girl started to say, but was interrupted by people approaching them. "I set the girl on him, boss," one of them said. "Mils is their leader," the girl finished. "Oh, i see: he commands the criminals behind the shadows, the he plays himself to be the mighty hero," tomoe said, before she smirked. "How cowardly can a man be?"
"What?!" mils snapped.
Just then, the adventurer subordinate that spoke up earlier recognized tomoe and mio. "Hey, you two were at the guild. Don't you think over level 1000 is a little much?" he asked. Mils then spoke up. "Not too long ago, a demihyuman with an abnormal amount of mana was seen outside the front gate. If you faked your level, then, eventually, you will be tasked to hunt down that demihyuman," mils explained.
"I'll have to pass on that," tomoe said, her head leaning back and face showing embarrassment. "I'll have to decline," mio said, her expression being the exact same as tomoe's, but with her sleeve in front of her mouth.
"You'd die. So, why not come work for me?" mils asked, holding a hand out to them. "If you join me, you'll have both money AND fame," mils said, trying to tempt them. "No thanks," tomoe said, glaring at mils. "Not a chance," mio said, also glaring at mils. "Why stay loyal to that masked merchant? He's just a level one idiot," mils insulted izuku. Shadows covered the eyes of both tomoe and mio, as they let loose an aura: pale emerald for tomoe and deep purple for mio.
Woah, the atmosphere completely changed, the girl thought as she cringed away from tomoe and mio. "Not to mention he wears a mask. I bet he's as nasty as a disgusting goblin under that mask," mils finished digging his grave with that. Unbeknownst to him, tomoe and mio were simply walking towards him. He didn't notice them, until they were attacking, tomoe with a normal fist and mio with a fist coated in the darkness element.
Mils gasped, there was a strong wind, then tomoe and mio jumped back where they were. "Nice try, ladies, but i'm the strongest man in zetsuya, and i have all the items, money and power needed to back up such a claim," mils said, as the dust cleared, revealing him to be behind a clear wall.
A clay aegis? The girl thought to herself as she fell to her knees. I've never seen one, but i heard it's a powerful physical magic barrier.
"Mio, i think it's time we take out the trash," tomoe proposed, as she tied her sleeves back. "Agreed, tomoe, lets," mio accepted as she also tied her sleeves back. "Get ready you idiots, here comes a closed fist punch. Try not to die in one hit," tomoe taunted.
"You dare mock me?!" mils said. Don't hold back, boys," mils ordered his men. His men attacked as fast as they could.
Tomoe simply threw a punch at the barrier, shattering it in one punch, sending mils flying into a wall and scattering the enemy. "Come on! At least TRY to stop me, *evil laughter*".
Mio was walking down the hall. "What did you say about my master?" mio asked a little too calmly. A guy tried to attack her from behind. "You're in my way," mio said, sending a blast of darkness at the attacker. She found the target of her ire: mils. "Ah, there you are," she said. Mio picked him up, and proceeded to slap the hell out of him for about 20 seconds, rendering his once handsome face to be unrecognizable. "There, i feel better, now," mio said cheerfully after dropping him.
Tomoe was having fun throwing the people into different and, oddly enough, freed more people that mils had abducted. "Don't you think this hallway is rather narrow?" tomoe asked, putting a hand on her katana hilt. "I agree, let us widen it," mio said, covering her hands in darkness.
Simply put, the two destroyed the building. Am i dreaming? The girl asked herself. She then felt a knife at her throat. Oh no, mils… she looked at his face. Right? She concluded. Tomoe and mio turned towards him and, despite his protests, forced him to pull off a team rocket.
"Well, not bad, mio, for second place," tomoe said. "Second place? I defeated more people than you," mio retorted. Tomoe and mio then started grinding their faces together, anger on their faces.
"Erm, can't you both just agree that you both did good?" the girl suggested. "ABSOLUTELY NOT!" tomoe and mio yelled at her. Tomoe and mio then started a contest on who could cause the most damage.
Meanwhile, with izuku, after tomoe and mio left
Izuku was reading, eri was sleeping, rinon was doing some art. All was peaceful for a few hours, until izuku got a REALLY bad feeling. "I hope those two don't cause unnecessary damage," izuku said to himself. He then scowled. "If they do, i will literally shoot them out the window back to the demiplane," izuku promised himself.
Just then, the ground and building started to shake, waking eri up and scaring her. So, izuku pulled her into a hug, calming her down.
Back with tomoe and mio
Rinon was wandering the destroyed town. "Rinon," she heard. Rinon tried to find the source. "Rinon," the voice called again. "Sister?" rinon called back, the dust cleared, revealing her sister. Rinon ran to her sister. "Rinon," her sister cried out, opening her arms to hug her little sister. "Toa," rinon called out, crying, into her sister's arms.
A few minutes later, in izuku's room
Rinon and toa were fast asleep, the past few days, plus the anxiety toa had when thanking izuku for his help, had her pass out once it all left her body. "I have a question," izuku said. "All's well, that ends well, huh, master?" tomoe asked. Izuku removed the window. "Mio, are you able to produce spider silk?" izuku asked. "Of course i can, that's simple," mio said, holding up a palm and making some silk, while tomoe had a nervous sweat drop on the side of her face. "Young master?" tomoe asked.
"I'm really glad the orcs in the demiplane gave me this bow," izuku said as he proceeded to tie tomoe and mio together, while not answering tomoe's questions. "I'm glad that you found toa and rescued her safely, but i'm not happy," izuku said as he strengthened himself. "Not at all," izuku continued. As he looked out the window, he saw that most of the town was destroyed. Izuku looked over his shoulder, glaring at tomoe and mio. "Who told you to cause this much destruction?" izuku growled out. "My intention is to keep a low profile, but you RAZED THE TOWN," izuku tied the spidersilk to an arrow. He then drew the bow and arrow. "IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR ACTIONS!" izuku declared, just before he shot the arrow out the window. Tomoe and mio had tears in their eyes and sad/scared looks on their faces as they were shot out the window, and into the distance.
