When Derek walked closer Penelope looked up at him and said, "isn't she beautiful?", Derek said, "she's gorgeous and she's gonna grow up being loved and protected sweetness, I can promise you that", Penelope nodded her head and said, "that she will handsome, that she will".
Penelope then said, "do you want to hold our daughter?", he smiled and said, "I would love to hold her", Penelope stood up and handed the baby over to Derek and said, "here you go daddy", Derek smiled and said, "hello there little one, I'm your daddy and this beautiful woman is your mommy".
The baby laid there in Derek's arms and he looked at Penelope as she said, "so what did Savannah want?", Derek said, "she was letting me know in no uncertain terms that she didn't want me and you to raise this little girl".
Penelope said, "welllll, it's not up to her now is it, this beautiful little girl, Sophia Grace Morgan is our daughter and us along with the rest of the family will love, cherish and protect her with everything that we have in us", Derek kissed the now sleeping little girl on the forehead and said, "that we will sweetness, that we will".
Derek and Penelope stayed with Sophia for a couple of hours, making sure to snapp a lot of pictures for the others and when they left the hospital the prison van carrying Savannah was pulling out of the parking lot, Derek and Penelope looked up and Penelope said, "good riddance", Derek wrapped his arm around his wife and said, "Amen baby girl, Amen".
When they got back home Fran had just finished feeding Hank a bottle and was rocking him and trying to burp him, when she looked up and saw Derek and Penelope she said, "so how did things go with my new grandbaby?", Penelope said, "they went great, she's gorgeous Fran, simply gorgeous".
Fran smiled and said, "of course she is", Derek said, "andddddddd I talked to Savannah", Fran said, "why would you ever speak to that, that, that woman", Derek said, "don't worry momma, I made it clear to her that she is not now or would she ever be a mother to that beautiful little girl".
Penelope said, "and when we left the hospital we saw her in the prison van being taken back to prison where she belongs", Fran said, "good riddance", Penelope grinned and said, "I said the same thing", Fran grinned and said, "great minds think alike", Penelope said, "for sure, for sure".
Derek stepped closer and said, "I'll give you my phone if you give me Hank", Fran said, "and why would I hand over my grandson to you?", Derek laughed and said, "my phone has pictures of your granddaughter on them, that way you can look at the pictures and then send them to the others".
Fran handed Hank over to Derek and then smiled as she looked at picture after picture of Sophia Grace, she then sent them in a group message to the others and it was only a matter of a few seconds before the comments started coming in on how beautiful she was and how they couldn't wait to hold her.
Derek grinned down at his son and said, "me and mommy met your little sister today, she's gorgeous and we can't wait for you two too grow up together, you are both going to be loved and safe and that's a promise", Penelope kissed her sleeping son and said, "truer words have never been spoken".
