"That robot would be hijacked by the corrupted Dreamweaver!" Reinhard's impostor revealed.
The unified army gasped in shock.
"Ariem the Dreamweaver, you may ask?" The impostor continued. "She's finally been corrupted. I know this because I was one of the captives for Nightmare Rose, freed by others a while ago!"
"Ariem... No..." Sonic is horrified. "What have..."
"Because the ritual was prevented in the long run, Team Shatter had to improvise." The impostor continued. "Thanks to that, the Dreamweaver became Nightmare Apoptosis. No, really."
"Brainwashing..." Sonic then screamed. "Not brainwashing again!"
"Please, get to the next floor." The impostor walked off.
Floor 29, evening.
"After we deal with the top floor, we escape by flying somehow." Jet the Hawk added. "Most of us now have Extreme Gears. Basically floating rides with high speed and power."
"Who are you?" Habaki cut to the chase. "Also, why the red strands? In your flowing hair?"
"You found out who I am." The impostor laughed, then shifted into a young woman. "Now I look like Gloreth-"
"Gloreth? Who is Gloreth?" Sonic is baffled.
The unified army have no idea what form is this.
"I'm from a world far far away, and got here because of some... flash."
-*flashbacks*
"NIMONAAAAA!" A knight from medieval/sci-fi city/town screamed. "Help us!"
A shapeshifter got caught in the flash. Little did she knew at that moment, it was the Hyper Genesis Wave.
"Welcome to the shattering." The hedgehog called.
A little while later, the shapeshifter was sleeping in a bunker... a Weapon Bunker that somehow plucked from Reality Zero into here, in the unified world.
"Hey! We got a freakin' creature!" Another one, named Soujirou Mibu, found out her.
"Who is this... girl?" Yet another, Shiori Kujou.
She woke up, and saw the two.
"I remember all my emanation. I have been the blade before." Soujirou found a katana from a distant world, recalling his time at Mahamara. "Huh. Can I... slay this one?"
"No no no, not yet." Shiori refused. "Just wake this creature up."
"Who are you?" She got up. "Oh, sorry. Hello there, it's Nimona."
"Nimona? Never heard that name before." Soujirou is confused. "Shiori, we gotta ask her who she really is."
"Oh. You just woke me, a prolific shapeshifter, up and on." Nimona yawned. "I came from the world where a medieval town became a freakin' technologically advanced city. A sci-fi kingdom, if you will."
Nimona then recapped her experiences, just so the couple know.
"Oh, I see. So you're a monster who wanted to be evil, but couldn't bring yourself to be?" Soujirou replied. "Alright. It's been 3 whole days we're stranded-"
A gunshot is heard to the bunker, loud enough to scare the couple off.
"This silencer isn't as silent as those dumbasses would like us all to foolishly believe." A Shadow Man, with a suppressed gun. "But it did the job. It was hard for our subjects from afar to notice us. Fine for what it's worth."
"What the!?" Soujirou reflexed back, instantly recalling his movements. "Oh. I can parry it all by myself. Shiori... do you know how to... duplicate yourself?"
Shiori looked at herself, confused. The three then left the Weapon Bunker, with Nimona sprouting wings just in case.
"Oh please." Nimona looked around. "Oh crap! This world's ruined!"
"I can sense it now." A Knuckles Man detected.
Shiori then found herself able to conceal and then blitz herself. Turns out, she finally rediscovered her Distortion and Taikyoku. "Oh, now I do. So I'm still Marici, after all."
More gunshots, which forced the couple to cover their ears. They quickly went back to the bunker, and took some ear plugs, and plugged.
"Damn, those shots are pretty loud!" Soujirou returned.
"Get out!" Nimona instinctively flew away fast, evading the notice of the Roboticized Masters.
"Nimona! Please!" Shiori noticed. "Return! Please!"
But the couple couldn't hear much anymore, because they plugged their ears to minimize the gunshot noise. More gunshot, which is followed by an army of Roboticized Masters, when Nimona was able to sense.
Nimona stealthily looked back, and saw the army going for the couple. All of them are severely outnumbered and has tons of weapons. She wanted to help the godlike couple, but she feared for her life.
"Damnit! Those stuffs!" Soujirou is annoyed as the army arrived. "Shiori! You know what to do!"
Shiori just nodded, and the couple immediately went for their own Taikyoku. Unfortunately, the Roboticized Masters have been 'blessed' with the power of the Phantom Ruby. *Phantom Ruby effects*
"Argh!" The couple collapsed, their emanation stopped. "No!"
"Wow. That's so useful!" Shadow Man is surprised. "So the Phantom Ruby can forcibly inert other powers. Our lord was right."
"Yes, the Phantom Ruby turns out to be far more powerful than we thought." Knuckles Man commented. "Great. That makes the job much easier."
The couple tried to run away, but the army surrounded them. A bunch of Tails Man beat them both up, and then carried them out.
"Your powers may need more studying on our part, but this is just piece of cake!" The Roboticized Masters then laughed.
Nimona saw it all unfold from afar, and is shocked by what's happening.
"Welcome to the shattering, otherworlders." The hedgehog's projection went everywhere. "Shattered Mobius is your paradise. But wait, you may have said that this place is like hell but worse, based on what you witnessed. But guess what?"
-*flashback ends*
"I won't quote any more of what that monster said back then, because it's so inhumane of him, so..." Nimona continued. "Let's just say that he wants to keep shattering... multiverses, subjugate us all. Plural added. Dunno what's his ultimate goal is, but he's an actual monster."
"Well, guess what? He might be a fusion gone insane!" Sonic recalled. "We learned that he came from the Shatterspaces. The variants used to exist... until the Prime World's me shattered the Paradox Prism, absorbing the variants and allow the regulator to manipulate that version of my own powers into upgrades. He travelled, before settling everything at the Grim, long story. the Shards were back, Prism is fixed, and he almost faded away... which unbeknownst to all his friends and foes at the time, would have brought back his own variants. But that Shadow denied that."
"And?" Nimona listening.
"The Prime World's Green Hills came back, and the initial shattering no longer happened. That world's Shadow, of course teleported it, but when he was sending the Prism... in another timeline. its Metal Sonic overclocked the Phantom Ruby and revived Infinite there. But that wasn't enough for that timeline's villains to stop the Resistance. So the Ruby disappeared from the timeline." Sonic continued. "And somehow, it glitched into the Prime World, where that world's Shadow found it. The Ruby, still overclocked, reacted with the Prism, and shattered that Shadow and bursted the whole Green Hills there. Not long after that, the mysterious hedgehog in cybernetics and boots and vines got out, took the two crystals, and assimilated the Chaos Council who were out into the Void, thus getting the intellect of the Eggmen. Then he went on a rampage on my multiverse, leading to my own world and timeline getting glitched and then crushed! And just as we flew out of that situation and recruited the Shatterspaces..."
"That monster caused the Hyper Genesis Wave." Xander added. "I've heard that it killed half of the multiverse's total population."
"And of course, it reached other worlds... even other multiverses." Mega Man added. "We were plucked into the unified world."
"Alien to us. And tried and tortures us." Tokoyo/Theresia added.
"Imprisoned in the bursted Zones, we were lost!" Julie-Su yelled. "Ok, so you are definitely a help. And what's that gun that restored the Prime World's?"
"Prismatic Zapotron, modded by me, myself, Mod Bench!" Nimona showed off the gun. "You wouldn't believe this though, but I got the shard from Team Shatter's attempt at mass producing the Paradox Prism. Therefore, this one has the power of the actual Prism itself, but one needs some cooldown."
"Mass-production of the Paradox Prism!?" Nine and Prime!Rouge is shocked.
"How did you know how to turn into... Shurado-Shikoten!?" Rindou gets suspicious.
"It's simple: I checked the database a week ago." Nimona replied. "Thanks to a scrapped robot of the same kind as the ones that got the couple, I found a lot of worlds recorded."
"That must be the worlds plucked by the Hyper Genesis Wave. And of course, there are naturally files." Shadow noted. "The Eggmen have checked parts of the database from destroyed Roboticized Masters and Eggforcers."
"About Soujirou and Shiori..." Habaki sighed. "They've been caught by those mooks!?"
"I saw them with my own eyes." Nimona affirmed. "So far, the only more things I know reveals that they both are a part of some divine expedition and stuffs, from a feudal world of sorts."
Rindou sobbed, recalling the Eastern Expedition.
"I'm sorry, but we gotta rescue them all." Nimona went on to hug Ms. Izanami. "Don't worry..."
"Welcome to our unified army." X offered a handshake.
Soon enough, the shapeshifter agreed and shakes hands. "Alright. I've destroyed the guards, so we're free to go. I shifted my way to surprise attacks, if you ask me."
"Let's go!" Tangle exclaimed.
Meanwhile...
"Where's Shadow!?" The hedgehog checked the top floors." Shadow? Shadow!"
A Silver Man came by, waving the remains of Grim Shadow. "I'm sorry... One of him was... destroyed."
"NOOOOOOOOOO!" The hedgehog immediately screamed, echoing the floors one by one.
"I'm sorry, Father... I'm out." Nerose Satanael about to relapse, while the hedgehog was screaming. "Mercury... seriously... ugh..."
The Morningstar, despite his nice and saintly expression towards his successor, secretly hates him for how he handled the Throne and his nature. However, Satanael couldn't help but lament once more, before relapsing one final time. Now his body is literally a metallic version of the pure white of salt he's been known for.
"So our days are finished, huh?" Mercurius responded. "Eh, Apoptosis."
"Ah, what's up?" Reinhard called. "We're doomed anyways, so why not talk more?"
"The old god succumbs to Metal Virus. We're next." Mercurius called at.
The two then have a typical, familiar conversation, while Ren Fuji just... sleeps. Sort of. At the same, time, the unified army came to the gateway to the 30th floor.
"This has to be the floor I was imprisoned in!" Julie-Su pointed it out.
Suddenly, the voice of the Moment rang. "Do you hear me? Do you daydream?"
"Oh, hey!" Tangle called.
"Mr. Yato, we can hear you." Whisper nodded.
"Uh..." Tails noticed.
"Tenma Yato?" Habaki noticed.
"It won't be long until I succumb to the Metal Virus. Thanks goodness I can contact with you all now. I got even your minds, so I now know what's up." Ren called. "Anyways... nice to meet you. I'm Ren Fuji, the Moment, a transcended boy from Suwahara City. Also, Tenma Yato, leader of the Yatsukahagi."
Cue a big cheer from Tai-Aztiluth.
"Yato! You're still alive!" Rindou cheered up.
"Of course I am, but not necessarily for long! I can't emanate much more, lest I relapse!" Ren added. "I'm covered mostly in liquid metal. At this rate, I'm going to become a mechanical zombie... a Zombot!"
"How do we cure you?" Sonic shrugged.
"Simple: overpower me, one way or another." Ren responded. "I've been hearing everything subconsciously thanks to the digitally-extracted dream serum. As of now, the first three have succumbed!"
"Ningenron... Daten-Naraku... Hisouten... gone!?" Sukuna is shocked. "Ren, you can't be serious!"
"I know and can easily confirm what I've heard from them. Also, their bodies are now all metal!" Ren replied.
"What about Amaterasu!?" Habaki is worried.
"They're infected, too!" Ren screamed.
"Ok, the communications..." Nicole came by.
"Hello, some... glitch?" Nimona greeted.
"I'm not a glitch, I'm an A.I.!" Nicole corrected the shapeshifter.
"Me, Sally Acorn. Nicole, A.I. And of course, Mr. Yato himself." Sally affirmed.
"I gotta admit, we wouldn't have come this far without you or the Wisps." Sonic clapped.
The divine couple just shrugged.
"Ren, where are you now? What's going on with us?" Sukuna questioned.
"32nd floor." Ren revealed to the army. "Wait... you're an army now?"
"Welcome to our unified army." Sonic waved.
"Alright, because after scouring through the Cyber Dream, I can guide you." Ren suggested. "I, the fellow gods, Sally and Nicole are currently in the 32nd floor. Firstly, the word 'Apoptosis' has been banned, so if you say it, you're spotted. Secondly, I'm not sure if I can survive to tomorrow, so go act fast. Thirdly..."
"The Eastern Expedition! What have they become after the kidnapping!?" Habaki questioned.
"Exactly. You wouldn't like what have they become. Cannot spoil you that, because if I do, Nightmare Rose with cut this communication off!" Ren continued. "If you still want specfics, fine! One word is involved: 'Yatsukahagi'."
"What?" The Tai-Aztiluth is confused.
"And finally... I know what happened to your Yatsukahagi there, guys... and Shatter's true motive." Ren Fuji revealed. "Zarathustra, signing off!"
The unified army arrived at the 30th floor, and walked the night. They found what was Su's cell, the one with a now-broken digital spring.
"The EMP did a number on this cell." Julie-Su scoffed. "Give me the Zapotron, I think we ran out of foods."
"Huh?" Them all.
"We were the ones carrying the foods and energy." Variants of the Big the Cat revealed.
"Alright, with the Zapotron, we can create anything we can imagine. Just shoot!" Nimona gave the gun to Julie-Su.
Kado noticed the gun, and considered to take it back. However, because everyone's hungry, he decided to leave it to work. And the foods came in from a 'gun'-shot. Cue the dinner time for everyone.
