Half an hour later, police had arrived at the museum and began investigating the scene. The coroner closed the bag and began to roll Neil outside.
"Shawn are you sure he was murdered? Gus asked.
"Very sure," Shawn said.
"Are you sure?" Gus asked again.
"He was poisoned."
"What makes you think that?"
"He was sweating a lot, he was grabbing his stomach, his pupils looked weird and his mouth looked super dry," Shawn explained. Are there any drug that can do a things like that?
"There many that can do that," Gus said.
"Okay Spencer you're wrong on this one, this is not murder," Lassiter said.
"The spirits are telling me otherwise," Shawn said.
"This was just a guy who drank too much and had an unfortunate accident," Lassister said.
"Neil doesn't drink," Sasha said.
"Never?" Lassister asked.
"He only drinks when he goes out, but never at work, he's very strict about that," Sasha said.
"This was no accident, Lassie, this was murder. Neil Saunders was poisoned," Shawn said.
Lassiter shook his head and didn't believe Shawn. "Come on O'Hara let's go."
"Jules."
We're going to find out," Juliet said and she walked away with Lassiter.
"You really think Niel was murdered?" Sasha asked Shawn.
"Yes, it's very clearly to me," Shawn said.
"Is there anything we can do for you now?" Gus asked.
"No, I have to see the director and the museum is closed for the day," Sasha said.
Gus gave Sasha his card. "Call if there's anything."
"Thank you."
Shawn and Gus left the museum and went to the Psych office.
The next day. Shawn and Gus arrived at the police station and walked toward Lassiter's desk.
"Hey Lassie."
"No."
Juliet walked over the Lassiter's desk. "Shawn was right."
"About Val Kilmer?" Shawn asked.
"No, about that Neil Saunders was murdered," Juliet said.
"What?" Lassiter asked.
"The report shows that Neil was poisoned," Juliet said, she handed the report over the Lassiter.
"Just like I said," Shawn said.
"How was he poisoned?" Gus asked.
"The contents of his stomach are coffee and a sandwich, one of the two had to be poisoned," Juliet said.
"What kinda of sandwich did he have?" Gus asked.
"It doesn't say, but it did contain mustard, pickles and turkey," Juliet said.
"What kind of mustard was on it?" Shawn asked.
"I doubt it really says that," Gus said.
"Whole grain mustard," Juliet replied.
"Is the museum still closed?" Lassiter asekd.
"Yes, until we give the word to open it again," Juliet said.
"Okay it will stay that way until it's completely combed out by Forensics," Lassister said.
"I'm on it," Juilet said, she walked over to her desk and called the Forensics team.
"Let's go back to the museum, O'Hara," Lassiter said.
"Forensics is meeting us there," Juliet said.
Juliet got up and walked with Lassiter, Shawn and Gus followed the two.
"Where do you two think you're going?" Lassiter asked.
"With you guys, of course," Shawn said.
"I didn't think so," Lassister said.
"I was the one who realized Neil was poisoned," Shawn pointed out.
"And that makes it murder and then it's our business," Lassiter said.
"It's also our business," Shawn said.
"You two stay here or better yet you go back to the space you two call a office, Lassiter said, he and Juliet walked away and left the station.
"We're not going back to the office?" Gus asked.
"No, we're not," Shawn said.
"We're going to the museum again?" Gus asekd.
"Yes, but first we have to make a pit stop somewhere," Shawn said.
A few minutes later, Shawn and Gus were back at the museum.
"Okay tell me where did we have to make a stop at the sandwich shop first?" Gus asked. "And why didn't you get me a sandwich?"
"This is not for me but for the case, Shawn said, he pulled the sandwich out fo the bag. A sandwich like that you can only get at one shop and that's Wen's.
"So?" Gus asd
"So? I need your Super Sniffer to find that sandwich," Shawn said and he held the sandwich close to Gus face. "Smell this."
Gus smelled the sandwich. "Okay, I got it"
"Good, now find us a sandwich."
Gus started to smell around him and walked through the museum and Shawn followed him. The two ended up at the staff room and went inside, in front of which fortunately no one was there. Gus walked toward the trash can.
"It's here."
"Are you sure?"
"Very sure."
Shawn walked up to the trash can and opened it, he looked around and saw a sandwich takeout box.
"That must be it," Shawn said.
"It's the only thing that can hold a sandwich," Gus said.
"Let's go get Lassie and Jules," Shawn said.
Shawn and Gus left the staff room and walked through the museum looking for Lassiter and Juliet, they found the two detectives at Sasha's gallery.
"Hello detectives and Sasha," Shawn greeted.
"I told you to stay away from here," Lassiter said.
"But I was brought here," Shawn said. "I feel like being pulled somewhere!"
Shawn began to walk toward the staff room again, while the rest followed him.
"It's here," Shawn said.
"What's here?" Juliet asked.
"The answer on what is what poisoned Neil Saunders," Shawn asked.
"Really?" Sasha asked.
"It's dark in there, it stinks and it's very dirty in there," Shawn said.
"Yuck," Sasha said.
"And does it feel metal or is it steel?" Shawn said, he turned to the trash can and pointe to it. "Check the trash can."
Juliet walked over to the trash can, she grabbed a pair of gloves from her pocket and put them on, she opened the trash can and took out the takeout box. Shawn saw the letters NS on the box.
"That box belongs to Neil," Shawn said.
Juliet opened the box and looked at the remainder of the sandwich." Remains of the sandwich match the contents of his stomach."
"I feel very strongly that this is what the perpetrator poisoned," Shawn said.
"I'll have the sandwich analyzed and we'll know soon enough," Juliet said.
"Let's go, O'Hara," Lassiter said.
Lassiter and Juliet left the museum, got in the car and drove back to the station.
"That's very impressive," Sasha said.
"Everyone has their gift, mine happens to be supernatural," Shawn said.
"Whoa," Sasha said.
"Shawn can I talk to you for a second?" Gus asked.
"I'm a little busy here, Gus," Shawn said.
Gus grabbed Shawn's arm and pulled him away from Sasha.
"What do you think you're doing?" Gus asked.
"I'm trying to solve this case," Shawn said.
"Looks more like you're flirting with Juliet's friend," Gus said.
"So? She's pretty and cute," Shawn said.
"It's unprofessional," Gus said.
"It's no different than what I always do when I meet a cute girl at a crime scene," Shawn said.
"That's true," Gus said.
"But you're right we should focus on the case, Shawn said and he walked back to Sasha. "Sasha we have to go now and get on with the case right now."
"Okay."
"Bye."
Shawn and Gus left the museum and headed toward the station.
