The sun rose slowly, casting a warm glow over the apartment that Luffy shared with his brothers. Ace sat at the kitchen table, his face a mask of determination and worry. Sabo had come home late the previous night and had been filled in on the events. He now stood by the window, looking out as if expecting trouble to come knocking at any moment.

Luffy shuffled into the kitchen, rubbing his eyes and yawning widely. He saw his brothers' serious faces and his heart sank. "Morning," he said, trying to sound cheerful.

Ace forced a smile. "Morning, Luffy. How are you feeling?"

"Better," Luffy replied, though his eyes betrayed the lingering hurt from the previous day's betrayal. "Thanks for saving me, Ace."

Ace's expression softened. "Of course, Luffy. I always will."

Sabo turned from the window, his gaze piercing. "We need to be more careful. Doflamingo won't give up easily."

Luffy's stomach growled loudly, cutting through the tension. "Can we talk about this after breakfast? I'm starving."

Sabo chuckled, and Ace shook his head, the tension easing just a bit. "Sure thing, Luffy. Let's eat."

After breakfast, the brothers gathered in the living room. Luffy, now fully awake and energized, was eager to hear what his brothers had planned.

"So, what's the plan?" Luffy asked, looking between Ace and Sabo.

Ace leaned forward, his expression serious. "We need to figure out what Doflamingo wants. He targeted you for a reason, and we need to know why."

Sabo nodded. "We also need to keep a close watch on you, Luffy. No more going anywhere alone."

Luffy frowned. "But I don't want to be treated like a kid."

"You're not a kid," Sabo said gently. "But you're in danger. We have to be cautious."

Ace's phone buzzed, interrupting the conversation. He glanced at the screen and his eyes widened. "It's Whitebeard. I need to take this."

Ace stepped out of the room, leaving Luffy and Sabo alone. Luffy shifted uncomfortably. "Sabo, do you think Law really betrayed us? I mean, he's been a good friend."

Sabo sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It's complicated, Luffy. People do things for different reasons. We need to talk to him, find out the truth."

Luffy nodded, though doubt still clouded his mind. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

Ace returned after a few minutes, his face grim. "That was Whitebeard. He has some information about Doflamingo's plans."

Sabo stood up, alert. "What did he say?"

Ace took a deep breath. "Doflamingo is after something called the 'Dragon's Legacy.' It's supposedly a hidden power or secret linked to our father, Dragon."

Luffy's eyes widened. "Dragon's Legacy? What does that mean?"

"We don't know yet," Ace admitted. "But whatever it is, it's important enough for Doflamingo to risk a lot to get it."

Sabo nodded. "We need to dig into this. Find out what this legacy is and why Doflamingo wants it."

Luffy clenched his fists, determination burning in his eyes. "Then let's find it before he does."

The next day at school, Luffy was on edge. He kept an eye out for any signs of trouble, his usual carefree demeanor replaced with caution. He spotted Law near the lockers and decided it was time for answers.

"Law!" Luffy called, approaching him.

Law turned, his expression wary. "Luffy."

Luffy's voice was steady but strained. "Why did you do it? Why did you help Doflamingo?"

Law sighed, looking genuinely regretful. "Luffy, I had no choice. Doflamingo has leverage over my family. He threatened them."

Luffy's anger wavered, replaced by confusion. "Why didn't you tell me? We could have helped you."

"I didn't want to drag you into my mess," Law said, his voice heavy with guilt. "I'm sorry, Luffy."

Before Luffy could respond, the school bell rang, signaling the start of classes. "We'll talk more later," Luffy said, turning to head to his class. "This isn't over, Law."

As the school day ended, Luffy made his way to the front gate, where Ace was waiting. They exchanged a nod, silently acknowledging the need for vigilance.

As they walked home, a sense of unease settled over them. Luffy couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. His instincts proved correct when a group of thugs stepped out from the alleyway, blocking their path.

"Looks like we've got trouble," Ace muttered, stepping protectively in front of Luffy.

The leader of the thugs, a burly man with a sneer, spoke up. "You must be Luffy. Doflamingo sends his regards."

Ace's eyes blazed. "Get lost if you know what's good for you."

The thug laughed. "I don't think so. We're taking the kid."

Ace didn't waste any more time with words. He launched himself at the thugs, fists blazing with fury. Luffy joined the fray, his agility and speed making up for his smaller size.

The fight was intense but brief. Ace and Luffy quickly overpowered the thugs, leaving them groaning on the ground. Ace grabbed the leader by the collar, pulling him close. "Tell Doflamingo if he comes near my brother again, he'll regret it."

The thug nodded frantically, fear in his eyes. "Alright, alright! I'll tell him!"

Ace released him, and the thugs scrambled away. He turned to Luffy, his expression serious. "This is just the beginning, Luffy. We need to be ready for anything."

Luffy nodded, determination etched on his face. "I'm ready, Ace. Let's do this."
