Luffy sat on the couch, still catching his breath. Shanks handed him a glass of water, his eyes filled with concern. "Here, drink this. It'll help you calm down."

Luffy took the glass with a shaky hand and sipped the water. "Thanks, Shanks."

Shanks sat down next to him. "You want to tell me what happened, Luffy?"

Luffy nodded, taking a deep breath. "It all started a month ago. Doflamingo's men tried to kidnap me. Law, a friend from school, lured me into a trap. I thought I could trust him, but he betrayed me. They tried to take me, but Ace showed up just in time and saved me."

Shanks listened intently, his expression growing more serious with each word. "That's a lot for you to handle, Luffy. I'm glad Ace was there for you."

Luffy continued, "Today, when I was coming home, I felt like someone was following me. I got scared, thinking it might be one of Doflamingo's men again. So, I ran here."

Shanks nodded, his face thoughtful. "You did the right thing coming here. It's good to have a safe place you can go to."

Luffy looked up at Shanks, his eyes filled with worry. "Why is Doflamingo after me, Shanks? What did I do?"

Shanks sighed. "It's not about what you did, Luffy. It's about who you are. Your father, Dragon, is a dangerous criminal, and Doflamingo thinks he can use you to get to him."

Luffy's eyes widened. "But I don't even know my dad!"

"I know," Shanks said gently. "And that's why it's important to stay safe. You've got people who care about you and will protect you. Speaking of which, I should let Ace know you're here."

Shanks pulled out his phone and dialed Ace's number. Luffy watched as Shanks explained the situation, his voice calm but firm. "Ace, it's Shanks. Luffy's with me. He was being followed, and we had to chase someone off. He's safe now, but I thought you should know."

There was a pause as Ace responded on the other end. Shanks nodded. "Alright. See you in a bit."

He hung up and turned to Luffy. "Ace is on his way. He should be here in about thirty minutes."

Luffy nodded, feeling a mix of relief and anxiety. "Thanks, Shanks."

Shanks smiled reassuringly. "No problem, kiddo. You're like family to me."

Thirty minutes later, there was a knock at the door. Shanks opened it to reveal Ace, who looked both exasperated and relieved. "Luffy, you sure know how to attract trouble," he said with a half-smile.

Luffy ran to his brother, hugging him tightly. "Ace!"

Ace hugged him back, ruffling his hair. "You okay, squirt?"

Luffy nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine now. Thanks to Shanks."

Ace looked over at Shanks, gratitude in his eyes. "Thanks for looking out for him, Shanks."

Shanks waved it off. "Anytime. Just keep an eye on him, will you? He seems to have a knack for finding danger."

Ace chuckled. "Tell me about it."

As they prepared to leave, Shanks placed a hand on Luffy's shoulder. "Remember, Luffy, you can always come to me if you're in trouble. Don't hesitate."

Luffy nodded earnestly. "I won't forget, Shanks. Thanks for everything."

Ace guided Luffy out the door, giving Shanks a nod. "Take care, Shanks."

"You too," Shanks replied. "Stay safe, both of you."

As they walked away, Luffy felt a sense of security knowing he had people like Shanks and his brothers looking out for him. The road ahead was uncertain, but with their support, he knew he could face whatever challenges came his way.
