The room was dimly lit, the only light coming from a small lamp on Donflamingo's ornate desk. He lounged in his chair, a sinister smile playing on his lips as he toyed with a cigar. Across from him, Law paced back and forth, his frustration evident in every step.
"Why are you so obsessed with that kid, Doflamingo?" Law snapped, stopping to glare at the man. "It's not just about leverage against Dragon, is it? What's your real motive?"
Donflamingo chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Always so sharp, Law. You're right, it's not just about Dragon."
Law's eyes narrowed. "Then what is it?"
Donflamingo leaned back, exhaling a cloud of smoke. "Luffy isn't just Dragon's son. He holds a key, a code taught to him by Dragon when he was just a child."
Law looked puzzled. "A code? For what?"
"A secret location," Donflamingo explained, his tone cryptic. "A place that holds confidential documents about the world government. Documents that could expose their darkest secrets and bring them to their knees."
Law frowned, trying to piece it together. "And how exactly do you know about this code?"
Donflamingo's smile widened. "I have my ways. Let's just say I stumbled upon this information during a... secret mission. Dumb luck, really."
Law's frustration grew. "So, you're saying Luffy might unknowingly hold the key to this location? And that's why you've been targeting him?"
"Precisely," Donflamingo said, his voice smooth and confident. "With that information, I can bring the world government to its knees. And in turn, gain power beyond imagination."
Law shook his head, his mind racing. "But why involve me in this? Why make me betray him?"
Donflamingo's expression turned serious. "Because you, Law, are a vital part of my plan. Your position close to Luffy makes you the perfect pawn."
Law clenched his fists. "I'm not a pawn in your game, Doflamingo."
Donflamingo's smile returned, but this time it was colder. "Everyone is a pawn in someone's game, Law. The sooner you accept that, the better."
Law turned away, his mind a whirl of conflicting thoughts. He had never felt so torn. The weight of his actions, the betrayal, and the revelation of Doflamingo's true intentions pressed heavily on him. He couldn't help but wonder if there was a way out, a way to protect Luffy without falling deeper into Doflamingo's web.
As he left the room, Donflamingo's laughter echoed behind him, a chilling reminder of the dangerous game they were all playing.
Law walked through the dark corridors of the lair, his mind still reeling from the conversation. He had always known Doflamingo was a master manipulator, but the depth of his schemes was staggering. The thought of Luffy, a carefree high school kid, being dragged into such a perilous situation because of a code he might not even remember, made Law's stomach churn.
He had to make a decision. Continue playing Doflamingo's game, or find a way to protect Luffy and stop Doflamingo's plans. It was a dangerous path either way, but one thing was clear: he couldn't let Luffy fall into Doflamingo's hands.
