11. Chapter 11

Quick Update

Hi everyone, it's been a while. I just wanted to let you guys know that I had some issues with being able to focus on writing for a while. Mostly just complications with medication combined with working full time and I suddenly find myself lacking the creative will power to sit down and write. I don't like talking about my personal life so I'll spare you all the details. I am slowly getting back into it and am currently working on a new chapter. I refuse to leave this story hanging, it just might take a while.

The next chapter probably won't be anything that special, let's be real. The USJ in the original manga/anime became as memorable as it was because it got invaded by villains. Otherwise it probably would have been much more standard and by the numbers. Probably something along the lines of what they ended up doing in Save! Rescue Training. The twist would be that because of the nature of the course, the exercises would be more focused on counter-terror situations. I don't think this chapter will be that long to be honest, especially since it's basically the second day of their proper hero training.

Now this is the reason why I wanted to make this update to begin with. The chapter after the current one I'm working on is going to be the Sports Festival. I need your help. I need characters for Sam and the Big Three to fight and to compete against. I feel actually kind of bad for asking, but the reality is, I don't have the creative capacity to create what could potentially be up to ten new characters to fill that entire arc. Especially since the original story I used as inspiration, A Spider's Big Four by Maelstrom Guy has long since been deleted and I don't have any other stories essentially following my plot thread. It makes sense why. I could just rip off characters from other video games, TV, and anime, but that seems incredibly lazy and it doesn't sit right with me.

Anyway: I ask you all for help in making characters, unless you really want to see me try and make up all of them on my own, but the chapter would take me a lot longer to put out and I don't want to hold the story back any longer than I have to. Plus, this would be a huge chance to involve my audience as well. I could make a discord server, but I hate maintaining them and I don;t really like hanging out in them either; one too many bad experiences let's just not just for Sam to fight, but also for Mirio, Tamaki, and Najire to fight as well. They don't necessarily have to be the most in-depth character's necessarily.

If you would like to submit a character, please send me a PM with these necessary details: their quirk, a little about their personality, and a brief physical description. Don't give me entire backstories, it's not necessary, I'd prefer just some basic outlines.
