Summary:
The bonfire... Will Bella become a part of the pack? What will the councils reactions be?

Sorry for not posting last weekend, I forgot. But you get an extra long chapter this weekend! (Yahoo) It's just comedy mostly lol.

CHAPTER 6 holy crow
MONDAY, MARCH 7TH
I woke up due to noise.
I saw Alice, sitting at the edge of Edwards bed.
"Oh Bella," Alice started.
"What big ears you have..."
"What big eyes you have…"
"What big teeth you have…"
I tried to say 'all the better to eat you with!' but I just sounded like a singing husky.
Alice giggled her bell-like chiming laugh
"Edwards in the shower. Carlisle says you can phase back now." She said.
I closed my eyes.
Phase. Phase. phase. I chanted to myself.
I felt my bones break, but they didn't assemble into a human shape.
I was now a really really tiny kitten.
"Bella, that's not what I meant." Alice scolded teasingly.
Phase. Phase. Phase. I chanted to myself, and close my eyes.
My bones started breaking again.
I'm not sure what I am.
I opened my eyes, and I could only see gray, and red. It was spooky.
I turned to look at Alice and she towered above me like a skyscraper.
Shit.
Alice squealed in a shrill manner. It hurt my ears a lot.
Alice picked me up. I fit in her mostly hand although my tail hung out from the side of her palm.
I must be around five inches long. (Not including my tail.)
Alice carried me into hers and Jasper's room.
"Jasper! Look!" She said, and placed me on her shoulder.
Jasper appeared in front of me and Alice in a flash of white.
"Is that a sugar glider?" Jasper asked, some of his southern accent leaking into his voice.
"It's Bella!" Alice said.
Suddenly, the door to Alice and Jaspers room flung open.
"Bella?!" Edward shouted, sounding crazed as Alice's door swung open, the handle of it hitting the wall with a loud thump.
Edward reached his hand out towards me, and I leapt off of Alice's shoulder. gliding, somehow gracefully, on Edwards forearm.
I waddled up Edwards arm until I reached the crook between his neck and shoulder, where I nuzzled him as I got comfortable.
"Bella, why didn't you phase into a human? We have school." Edward said.
I made a small sound that resembled a yippsh-bark.
"I don't think she can." Jasper guessed correctly.
"We should call Carlisle." Edward said, reaching for his cellphone.
"Edward! Carlisle is a work, in fact, he's currently in surgery. You do not need to be calling him. You can talk to him after school." Alice argued.
After what looked like Alice thinking something, Edward sighed in defeat.
"Jasper, can you look up what sugar gliders eat?" Edward asked.
"Okay." He said, then sped to the computer.
"Alice, can you look up what sugar gliders need, and do for fun?" Edward asked Alice.
"On it!" Alice said, speeding towards another computer.
Jasper came speeding back into the room.
"Tree sap, nectar, insects, fruit, and vegetables. Also tree nuts." He said.
Alice sped back into the room.
"They like to climb, and are nocturnal." she said.
"Okay, Bella, are you hungry?" Edward asked me.
I made a happy squeak.
"Okay." Edward said, he then ran down the stairs, in the kitchen, Esme was cutting a cantaloupe.
"How much does she need?" Esme asked, not looking away from the cantaloupe.
"Shoot! It says here that sugar gliders can't eat too much fruit!" I heard Jasper yell.
"Look up what sugar gliders eat daily!" Edward said.
"It says insect's, tree sap, and nectar, also a little bit of fruit and lots of water!" Jasper said.
I tried to say 'can we just go to school' but it came out as a lot of squeaks and bark-ish yip like sounds.
I glided off of Edwards shoulder, the wind rushing past my face felt amazing.
And I headed for the front door, hoping Edward would understand what I meant.
I landed on the handle.
"Bella. Please eat something, just a small thing?" Edward pleaded with me.
I glided off of the handle back towards the kitchen before walking the rest of the way.
I climbed up to the shelves and landed on a jar of fruit jam which Esme swiftly put onto the counter.
"Fine, but I'm gonna feed you actual food at lunch." Edward said.
I yipped an agreement, and Esme opened the jar of jam. She scooped some into a spoon, gave me a gentle pet and scratch on my head, and put the spoon on the counter for me.
I ate most of the jam that was on the spoon.
Once I was done, I was scooped up by Edward.
He put his backpack on then put me in his pocket.
I fell asleep not long after that.
I woke up because of the bright fluorescents.
I opened my eyes to find that I was in the cafeteria.
"Good morning sleepyhead." Edward said.
I realized that I was in his hands.
He put me onto his lunch tray.
I walked over to his half open banana, and started munching on it.
I looked over to Angela, then at Edward then back to Angela, then back to Edward.
"Hey uh, Edward. I think she wants to go hang out with Angela." Jasper said.
Alice scooped me up from Edwards tray, and then picked her own up.
She put me in a brown paper bag, and went to put her tray away.
After she put her tray away, she walked towards the table I usually sit at.
She tapped Angela on the shoulder.
"Angela, can you give this to Edward after biology? Feel free to play with it for now." Alice said, then walked away.
I was still in the bag.
"What's in it?" Jessica asks
"I don't know." Angela answered.
"Well open it!" Jess encourages
"Okay!"
Angela then carefully opened up the bag, and peeked inside.
"Awww!" She cooed
She then laid the bag on its side.
I crawled out of the bag, it taking a second for my eyes to adjust to the bright fluorescents that shone overhead.
There were tons of gasps from around the table.
"Can I hold it?" Three people asked at once.
"No. It is an animal not a toy, and it will walk to whoever it feels comfortable walking to." Angela said sternly.
Angela's tone shocked everyone at the table into silence for a second.
I walked up Angela's arm, and into her shoulder. I then hid myself in her hair.
"Ah! Jess, can you get it out of my hair?" Angela asked.
I immediately ran out of her hair.
I was now on the table.
I looked up at everyone.
Then I squeaked, and ran back over to Angela, hiding myself in her hands.
She pet me between the ears with her thumb. It felt nice.
I fell asleep again.
EARLY TUESDAY MORNING March 8th
I opened my eyes to find that I wasn't in school anymore, I was in Edwards bed.
"Do you think you can phase?" Edward asked me.
My bones started breaking.
I closed my eyes.
Once my bones finished breaking, I opened my eyes. Yay, no more just grays and reds.
I immediately covered myself with Edwards blanket.
Edward handed me clothes, then walked out of the room.
Once I was done getting dressed, he walked back in.
"Hi." I said.
"Do you think that being nocturnal for a day will affect your sleep schedule?" He asked.
"I don't know." I said.
"Oh also, Carlisle wants to take a blood sample, and run a few experiments, but after you've eaten something." Edward said.
"Okay." I said.
"Esme is out hunting, so I made you some eggs." He said, awkwardly gesturing to the plate full of scrambled eggs.
I gave Edward a really tight hug.
Food is the only correct way to someone's heart, especially if they have a supernaturally enhanced appetite.
As funny as this sounds, I wolfed down the scrambled eggs.
They were so good that I had to do a happy dance.
I said thank you to Edward, and we walked up the stairs.
We walked into Carlisle's study.
"Hello Bella! Would you mind if I took a blood sample?" He said.
"Nope." I said.
He took a blood sample.
"So, Bella, I was wondering, what animals can you turn into?" He asked.
"I'm not sure, so far I've turned into a wolf, a sugar glider, a dog, a cat, and a Jaguar." I said.
"Does turning into different animals affect your senses? Studies show that sugar gliders can only see gray and red, was it the same in your case?" He asked.
"Yeah, when I was a sugar glider I could only see shades of grays, and reds." I said.
"Interesting!" He said, and wrote something down.
"Do you think that you could turn into a sea creature? Perhaps a fish or octopus?" He asked.
"Uh, I can try?" I said.
"Bella, are you sure? You don't have to." Edward asked.
"I'm sure." I said sternly, leaving no room for argument.
"Where should we do this?" I asked.
"There's a lake on our property." Carlisle said.
I nodded.
Edward picked me up, then he and Carlisle ran through the forest.
When we stopped, Alice was there holding a towel, and a set of clothes.
"I overheard, I think you'll need this. But, ever since you first shifted, I can't see you." Alice said.
"Okay how should we-" I started.
Alice pushed me in the water before I could finish.
"Alice!" Edward yelled.
I swam up to the water's surface.
Edward helped me back up.
"I don't think I can." I said.
"Good to know, thank you Bella." Carlisle said, with a smile.
"I'm gonna go for a run." I said, running into the forest.
But when I shifted it was into a crow.
Holy crow. I thought to myself.
I flew over to La Push.
STILL TUESDAY MORNING, LIKE 10AM March 8th
The wind whipped by me.
My wings gliding through the air, occasionally flapping.
The trees below me were a blur, and I loved it.
Flying felt so freeing.
I saw the familiar little red house, and swooped downwards.
I went to the side of the house, to Jake's window.
Inside, I saw Jake doing homework on his bed.
I tapped the window with my beak.
"Go away." I heard Jake say.
I tapped on the window again.
"Shoo! You two braincell having annoying crow!" Jake yelled.
I tapped on the window again.
He opened the window, and shooed me away.
I didn't move, he closed the window.
I decided, if he was too stupid to realize that I'm the crow, he's gonna get teased.
I remember that Jake used to have an obsession with the flash, starting with the TV show the CW produced.
He read the comics too, but he liked the show more.
Remembering that he showed me the first episode, I started tapping the tune to Lady Gaga's poker face.
He danced along for a second, then I think he realized where the sound was coming from.
He opened the window, and said.
"You have good music taste for a bird."
Then he closed it.
I was definitely gonna show the pack his stupidity later.
I then started tapping the flash theme/intro.
Recognition dawned in his face.
He opened the window.
Jake blushed a bit.
"Bells?" He asked.
I squawked.
He dug through his clothes for a bit.
"Here." He said, handing me a pile of clothes.
He then turned around.
I phased, I saw him wince at the snapping of my bones.
I got dressed, then tapped his shoulder.
"Dumbass. You think I have two brain cells? You didn't think twice about a bird tapping its beak to the rhythm of a Lady Gaga song!" I yelled
"I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, okay?" He said.
"The pack is so hearing about this during the bonfire tonight, dude." I said.
"Shit. I forgot about the bonfire!" He said.
"Bro! I left my imprint behind for this!" I said.
"Oof, Jared gets to bring Kim, and Sam gets to bring Emily."
"Dang." I said.
"But technically, you aren't an official part of the pack. I mean, the pack wants you to be, and treats you as such, but since the elders don't know about you, you aren't."
"Should we pick up Charlie?" I asked.
"Nah, Charlie, Harry, and my dad are gonna carpool." Jake said.
"Okay." I said.
"Oh Bella, also, here, it's one of the bags that we tie to our legs when phased, that we put our clothes in." Jake said, handing me a brown, leather bag.
"Nice." I said.
"Yeah." He agreed.
"Ah wait! If I become an official pack member, does that mean I have to run patrols?" I asked.
"Yup" Jake said, popping the p.
Both me and Jake heard Billy wheeling over.
"So Bella, the time loop with savitar. Savitar kills iris. Barry uses time remnants in an attempt to beat Savitar." Billy wheeled into the room.
"One of the remnants becomes Savitar and then gets trapped in the speed force, where it goes insane, gets freed, then kills iris."
Billy looked confused.
"Or! The chicken and the egg situation, with savitar and the philosopher's stone! Who came first? We will never know!" Jacob finished.
"I'm sorry, could you repeat that?" I asked.
Billy chuckled.
Jacob sighed.
"I'm kidding dude." I said.
"Anyways Jacob, I wanted to ask you something about uh, our special guests to our later plans? Are they still coming?" Billy asked.
I tried my best to look confused.
"OHHH uh, yeah uh, both special guests are gonna be there as far as I'm aware." Jake said.
"And I don't get to know who the first one is?" Billy asked.
"Nope." Jake said.
Billy left the room.
"Wanna watch the flash?" Jake asked.
"I don't really remember much, so sure." I said.
We had just finished episode ten when we realized the time.
"Crap." I said.
"Shit." Jacob said.
"Meet you at mine in thirty!" I said, climbing out of his window.
"You can go out of the door, you know." Jake said.
I ignored him.
I ran into the forest, stripped, then phased.
I got home and got ready quickly.
Once I was done getting ready, I heard Jacob knock on the door.
Jacob drove us in my truck.
He parked at First Beach.
We walked to a secluded spot.
When the elders saw me, they all looked baffled.
When I sat down with the pack, they looked more than baffled, they looked flabbergasted.
Billy cleared his throat, and everyone stopped talking.
"W-" Billy started.
"Why is Bella Swan here? Who told her?" Harry said, interrupting Billy.
Billy side-eyed his friend like an old lady.
Jake smiled, and stood up, raising his hand.
"Me! I told her!" He excitedly announced.
Earning a gasp from the elders, and a chuckle from the pack.
"Jacob Ephraim Black." Billy started.
There was a few gasps and 'oooooohs' from around the bonfire.
"Explain yourself young man." He finished sternly.
"So, I was running around in the forest right? Then, I came across a strange scent. I started tracking it, but it went past the forest, so I phased." Jake started.
"Okay?" Billy said.
"So then, I tracked the scent to Bella's house, and then Bella walked outside," he said.
"So I said, hi Jake." I interrupted.
"Then I accidentally said that I had tracked a strange smell there." He admitted
Me and Jacob went quiet for a minute, neither of us wanting to say what happened next.
"Then what happened?" Harry asked.
"Well uh. Then Jake started sniffing around" I said, hoping Jake would say what happened next because I definitely didn't want to.
"Then I realized that the scent was coming from Bella." Jake said.
The elders froze.
"So then, I looked at Bella." Jake said.
"And he said 'Bella?' so then I said 'yeah?'" I said.
"And then I asked her what she was." Jake said.
"So then, I responded that I didn't know. And asked him what he was." I said.
"And I said that I was a wolf shifter. I then asked Bella what type of thing she was because she didn't smell human." He said.
I turned to look at Jake, trying to silently tell him that I didn't want to say the next part.
He understood.
"And then she said that she can turn into an animal." He said
The elders looked at me.
"Then I asked if she was a wolf shifter… And Bella, do you wanna say the next part?" He asked.
I shook my head no.
"Then she said that she hadn't turned into a wolf, and that she had turned into a Jaguar, a dog, and a cat." He said.
The elders all looked at me, flabbergasted.
I blushed bright pink.
"Then Jake said 'What the fuck?' That's weird. Does anyone know?" I said
"And that's how Bella learned about the wolves," Jake concluded happily.
"Oh, and when she phases, all of her bones break and reform." Jake said.
The elder's eyes widened, as well as the imprints.
"Does anybody else know?" Billy asked, after he had processed everything.
"Uh, Edward Cullen does, I was with him when I first kinda, changed forms. And the other Cullens know." I said.
All of the elders glared at me.
"But Edward is her imprint!" Jake blurted.
All of the elders gasped. I put my face in my hands. Jake was not helping.
"Uh, I can also hear the pack, if I want to? Like I can hear everything they think, if I want to, but they can only hear the thoughts I want them to hear." I said.
"And so far I've turned into a wolf, a sugar glider, a dog, a cat, a Jaguar, and a crow." I added.
"I need proof. Go phase." Old Quil said.
"Okay, what should I turn into?" I asked.
"A raccoon," Old Quil said.
I nodded, and walked into the nearby trees.
I stripped.
Raccoon. Raccoon. Raccoon. I mentally chanted.
I shifted really fast, but that meant a lot of sudden cracking.
"Why are you all wincing?" I heard old Quil ask.
"Because we just heard Bella's bones break." Sam responded.
I opened my eyes, I could now see whites, blues and greens, a lot better than other colors, everything else was really dull.
I walked back over towards the bonfire on all fours, and walked to the elders.
I stood in front of them.
"Has anyone actually seen her phase?" Old Quil asked.
"That's not protocol to ask shifters? Why ask her?" Billy said.
"I've seen her phase!" Jake said.
"Bella, you can go phase back now." Billy said.
I walked back over to the forest.
I shifted back, and got dressed.
I walked back over to the bonfire, and sat back down next to Jake.
"Alright, now we ask you," Billy motioned to the pack. "To stay silent, while we discuss." He said. Sam walked over to sit with the elders.
"I don't think we should let her into the pack. We can't trust her." Old Quil whispered.
"She fought three vampires by herself, and killed one." Sam said.
Billy and Harry, both slowly turned their heads towards me.
I gave them an awkward smile.
"'You sure that that girl killed a vampire?" Harry asked.
"Yes. She got injured doing so too, that's why Charlie found out, she couldn't phase for a few days afterwards." Sam said.
Most of the pack were roasting hotdogs on the bonfire.
I grabbed some raw hotdogs, and started roasting them.
I burnt them.
I ate them anyway, they tasted good, a bit crispy though.
The elders took a silent vote, and then faced back to us.
Billy cleared his throat.
"The council has made its decision," he said.
