A/N: I'm glad to see that you all like the new version of my original story. So far, I'm liking it, too. I'm trying to make sure that the plot flows nicely, and that the chapters don't feel rushed. I'll be following the events of the Digimon Frontier anime for this story, although, I probably won't be including the movie specials in this story, mainly due to the fact that I haven't seen those movies. Either way, I hope that you enjoy this new chapter! Also, quick note, but the Spirits of Steel that will be used in this story have been uploaded to my Deviantart account! So, I'll be using those two instead of Mercurymon and Sakakkumon. If you're curious as to those two spirits, look up Ferrumon and MetalUnimon on my deviantart gallery. It's under the same name that I go by here on fanfiction, ReximusProductionsYT. But now, without further ado, let's get to the new chapter, shall we?

A/N 2: Also, I forgot to mention this in the previous chapter, but like in the original story, the pairing for this story is Deku/Harem. The list of girls he'll be paired with in this story will be in the ending note down below.

Knights and Messages!

Katsuki Bakugo sat in the classroom at Aldera Middle School, brooding with his ever-present scowl on his face as he glared at the empty desk. Izuku, or as Katsuki calls him, Deku, hasn't been showing up to class lately. It has been roughly a month since the incident with the Sludge Villain where he was taken hostage and almost killed because Death Arms, Kamui Woods, and Mt. Lady, couldn't stop him because they didn't have the right quirk for the job. All the heroes on the scene at the time had been UTTERLY USELESS! Except for Backdraft, who had been trying to put out and contain the fires that Katsuki had been causing with his own quirk due to panic. The firefighting rescue hero gets a pass in Katsuki's mind. Though he will likely deny it until the day he dies, Katsuki is truly grateful that another hero had been passing by at the time and decided to do his freaking job, thus preventing Katsuki from suffocating to death and capturing the Sludge Villain, who he had learned from the Old Hag, meaning his mother, had also attacked Deku earlier that same day and tried to use him as a skinsuit.

Even though he hasn't gotten along with the quirkless greenette since before they were four, Katsuki would admit that even Deku doesn't deserve such a horrible fate.

He had heard from his homeroom teacher that Deku wouldn't be attending classes at Aldera anymore since his mom pulled him out. He internally scoffed at that. Who cares that the nerd is gone? It just means one less thing to annoy him and one less obstacle on his road to becoming the next top hero. He also won't have to deal with his stupid muttering and Deku constantly, in his mind, looking down on him, he should be happy! So…

Why isn't he happy?

"Hey, did you hear about the incident with that Sludge Villain last month?" Katsuki heard one boy ask another student.

"Who hasn't heard of that? It was all over the news!" Replied a girl.

Normally, Katsuki would just tune out the banter from the shitty extras, as he called them, but for some reason he felt compelled to listen in this time. So, he silenced his internal voice and listened carefully.

"My dad's in the police force, and he was the one who interrogated that villain, though he doesn't know why he had to. But apparently, Bakugo wasn't that slimy freak's first potential victim. According to my dad, the Sludge Villain tried to make a human skin suit out of Midoriya before he tried with Bakugo!" the boy explained.

"What? Seriously?" gasped another boy.

"That must be why he was pulled out of school. He may be staying at home for medical reasons and doing online classes instead." another girl theorized.

"I hope he's okay…" said a rather shy girl with tiger ears.

"You've never shown any concern for Midoriya before. Why start now?" asked a boy with eye stalks like a slug.

The shy girl crossed her arms and replied, "Don't get me wrong, I'm not his friend, and I think he should rethink his choice to become a pro hero, but just because he doesn't have a quirk doesn't mean he deserves to die a horrible death, right?".

The rest of the class remained silent. They had to admit she had a good point. All conversation was put to a halt, though, as the teacher walked in and began classes for the day. Katsuki just scoffed and leaned back in his seat. If the quirkless nerd decided to pull out of school, that's his problem. Just one less pebble in the road on Katsuki's way to becoming the next number one hero.

Back at the Midoriya residence, Izuku had finished his online classes ahead of time for the day and was currently relaxing with his mother in the living room as they watched a movie, specifically a pre-quirk era Disney movie called The Sword in the Stone, with Katsuki's parents, Mitsuki and Masaru Bakugo.

Mitsuki is a beautiful woman with spiky ash-blonde hair and red eyes, the same features that her son, Katsuki, has. Because of her quirk, she maintains a rather youthful appearance despite being in her late thirties. She is currently wearing a white blouse under a lavender cardigan, with a short black skirt.

Her husband, Masaru, is a middle-aged man of average height and build who has short brown hair similar in style to his wife and son, a short mustache, and rectangular glasses. He is currently wearing a dark green polo shirt and khaki pants.

Both parents had been called by Inko shortly after she and Izuku had put away all of his All Might merch and redecorated his room. She explained what had happened to her son and how All Might had crushed his dream and needless to say, they were shocked that the Symbol of Peace didn't believe that someone could become a hero without a quirk. They had rushed right over to Inko and Izuku's apartment rather quickly after that, especially when Inko had mentioned that Izuku had been attacked by the same Sludge Villain that had tried to take over Katsuki, where Mitsuki had immediately pulled her godson into a hug and started frantically looking him over like a certain clownfish from an old movie.

Masaru had been unable to contain his laughter when she had entered what they called 'mother hen mode', which led to Mitsuki's whole head turning red from embarrassment as she yelled at her husband to stop laughing, though there was no real malice in her voice.

And now, a month later, she and her husband were visiting as they both were using some PTO from their jobs to take a much-needed break.

Mitsuki sighed as she rested her head on her husband's shoulder and said, "This reminds me of the good old days. Back when life was so much simpler.".

"It sure does." Masaru agreed.

Izuku also remembered those days. Back when he and Katsuki were as close as brothers and he wasn't a huge bully with the potential to become a villain. Of course, neither parent wants their son to turn to villainy and they support him and his desire to become a hero, but with his attitude and his overall reason for becoming a hero, they aren't one hundred percent sure that he won't turn to villainy if things don't go his way after middle school. They weren't blind to their son's attitude problems, even though his explosive temper was definitely inherited from his mother.

Inko looked at her friend and asked, "What ever happened to that sweet little boy who was Izuku's brother in all but blood?".

Mitsuki sighed as she sadly replied, "Our quirkist society is what happened to him. Katsuki's brilliant and seems to excel in pretty much everything he does. He was always praised for this, and it only got worse when he got that stupid awesome quirk. Everyone around him just started kissing Katsuki's ass and telling him how he was destined to become a hero. But with his temper and, from what I can tell, a combination of a superiority and inferiority complex he might turn into the next Endeavor. Especially since he really only wants to be a hero so he can legally use his quirk to beat up bad guys, at least as far as we can tell.".

"We've been trying to deflate his ego and humble him some, but so far it's been a losing battle. Honestly, aside from anger management classes, I don't know what else we can do." Masaru added.

At first, Izuku wanted to defend his childhood friend and say that he can become a great hero, but for whatever reason he couldn't. It was like this little feeling in the back of his mind was telling him that Katsuki made his choices, and like it or not, he should face the consequences of his actions.

'Why can't I bring myself to defend Kacchan? What's wrong with me?' thought Izuku.

He didn't stay focused on that for long, as his attention was soon drawn to the movie as he heard Merlin mention the Knights of the Round Table.

"Knights were kind of like the heroes of their time, huh?" Izuku couldn't help but say.

"In a way, they were. While I'm sure they weren't galavanting off slaying dragons and rescuing princesses, knights did play a huge part in protecting their kingdoms. They were soldiers born into nobility and were trained to protect the kingdom in times of war. And they had the right tools for the job with their swords, arrows, shields and armor as they stood up against any adversary to their king. And this was all before quirks ever manifested." Inko said, knowing that her son was inspired by the knights.

"And who knows? If hero schools won't accept you just because you don't have a quirk, maybe you could become a modern-day knight." Mitsuki added.

She took a moment to think about it and for a brief moment, she, Inko and Masaru imagined a fully grown Izuku wearing knight armor as he rode upon a horse and going out of his way to help all those in need, whether they have a quirk or not.

"Wouldn't that be something?" Mitsuki silently asked in awe of the vision.

It wasn't long before the movie ended and Inko decided to start preparing lunch for everyone with Mitsuki getting up to help her as Masaru started cleaning up the living room. Izuku asked if there was anything he could help with, but they told him to just hang out and do his own thing while they took care of it but thanked him for offering to help. So, Izuku decided to go back up to his room and work on his hero analysis books. Just because he was taking a break from heroes doesn't mean he can't organize his notes.

He felt it would be for the best to encrypt his notes so that in case they fell into the wrong hands, whoever stole them would be unable to decode them and actually understand them. Not even three minutes passed after he got to work that he heard a dinging noise from his phone.

"Strange. I could have sworn I muted notifications." Izuku said to himself as he reached into his pocket.

He pulled out his mobile phone and unlocked it to see that he had a new message from an unknown number. Normally, he would pay the message no mind and just delete it without opening it since it was from an unknown number, but… something was compelling him to open the message and read it. So, he opened it.

The message read, "Do you wish to find your destiny?" followed by "Yes or No". Being the curious little hero nerd that he is, Izuku clicked yes. Suddenly, his phone's screen was taken over by a strange symbol as a distorted woman's voice came from it.

"Izuku Midoriya. It is time for you to embrace your destiny."

Ending A/N: Alright, I think that's a good stopping point. Did you enjoy the chapter? Let me know. I'll try to make future chapters longer and I'll also try to update more frequently since I've been finding more opportunities to write recently. But I make no promises. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you next time, my hatchlings!
