After the ceremony finished, everyone headed to the Brackendreid's for the reception.
Julia put Susannah down for her nap, as everyone else got a drink. After Julia came down, everyone got their drink and food, ate and socialized.
As everyone finished, they hear loud clapping, "alright, everyone, time to cut the cake" Margaret said happily
William and Julia agreed they would get a medium size cake and cut it like they did at their wedding 10 years ago.
"Come Julia, William" Margaret said as she pulled them to the spot and gave them the knife to cut.
"Bloody hell, Margaret, we couldn't just not got cupcakes"
She looks at him annoyed, "this is what they wanted, Thomas" as she turned back to the couple
William and Julia grabbed the knife and together cut a slice of the cake, and placed it on a plate.
They each took a piece of the cake and fed it to each other, as they kissed, which made everyone clap, and cheer.
Once the food was cleared, William decided to check on Susannah, who was awake. He changed her diaper and brought her down to the party.
Seeing this made Ruby smile, "there are so few men, who would be Mr. Mom, like William, Jules"
"I know it amazed me, how he took on the role. When she was a couple of days old, he let me rest and took care of her, and made sure the house was clean."
As the party started to end, Ruth decided to leave early, as Henry followed.
When Effie said, "those two left, when we still have to give William and Julia their gift"
"What gift did you give, maybe I can contribute some money?" Ruby spoke up
"Miss Og…Ruby, you being here was a gift for them both" Brackenreid said
As Margaret came in the living room with them, she said, "here they are"
Julia laughed, as she said, "on behalf of William and I, thank you for making our 10th anniversary such a celebration. Hopefully we can do something like this for our 20th"
Everyone cheered and clapped, as George said, "growing up all I had was my aunts, it wasn't till I met you sir, and doctor and then Effie, I felt like I just didn't have close friends and a wife. I finally had a family"
Everyone clapped as both William and Julia gave George a hug.
"I have something to say" Effie said, "growing up, in high society was hard for me. I felt like an outsider, and didn't have much friends. It wasn't till I met you both, I finally felt accepted and proud I can call you my friends."
Julia approached her and gave her a hug, as Brackenreid cleared his throat, "on behalf of Margaret and I. Good luck to another 10 years, doctor and me old mucker."
Everyone cheered again, as Ruby spoke up, "I know I wasn't at your wedding and I apologize for that, but I knew from the moment I met you william, you were meant for my sister. You two have made quite a life yourself, and gave me a beautiful niece. I never thought I would say this but I'm actually a bit jealous of your life."
Everyone laughed, "love you both"
Julia gave her a hug, "love you, Ruby. Thank you for being here."
"Thank you all. Now we best get to the hotel" William said
"Wait, we have a gift for you" Effie said and handed it them, "it's from all of us"
William opened the envelope, and pulled out tickets and a pamphlet, as they both laughed, "the imperial Muskoka?"
"We all know how much you two, really wanted to go but Susannah had other plans." Brackenreid said
"Thank you, all" William said
"You leave tomorrow, on the 4:00 train" George said
"Thank you, so much. Are you still sure you can handle Susannah for the night?" Julia asked
"Don't worry, Julia. She will be alright. Have a good time" Effie said and winked
"Oh we plan too." Julia laughed
As William and Julia say their goodbyes to Susannah and everyone, they hop into their carriage and head to the hotel.
Once they arrived the hotel, William picked her up bridal style, and ravished her with kisses, and closed the door.
They continued kissing each other, as they removed each other's clothes, he stops and looks at her, "my goodness, you're as beautiful as the day I met you"
Julia's eyes filled with tears, and kissed him, "let's make more memories, tonight"
Without a thought, he picked her up and placed her on the bed, keeping their eyes on each other.
He kissed her lips, neck, down her body, as she moaned, and grabbed his face, "to a new beginning" and made passionate love.
