Hey, guys! Here's a new RokuNami story from me! I've had this idea in my head for a long time - and have finally gotten around to writing it! Hoe you enjoy! :)

"Aww, just look at those two lovebirds..." Axel murmured to himself. "Aren't they adorable?"

The fiery redhead grinned as he peered towards the wooden dock of Destiny Islands - where Roxas and Naminé were sitting. The pair of blonde Nobodies were cherishing their moment in one another's company by watching the sunset together. They gazed out across the sea to watch it descend beyond the horizon, leaving the evening sky in a brilliant shade of orange that was reflected on the ocean's surface.

It was a whimsical scene of romance for the two young lovers - and Axel was enjoying every minute of it from where he was observing them.

"Yeah, they sure are cute... The only question is..."

Axel paused, his smile vanishing from his face to be replaced by a frustrated frown.

"When are they gonna kiss?"

It was just as well for Axel that however annoyed he was, he managed to keep his voice down. Roxas and Naminé were oblivious to their fellow Nobody standing a few feet away behind them. They gazed out to where the sun was sinking far ahead of them - while feeling warm and fuzzy inside over having the one they loved sitting next to them.

"Um..." Roxas stammered. "Naminé?"

Axel's frown vanished. Hope filled his widening eyes from the way he'd heard his best friend address the girl he liked.

Naminé turned away from the sunset, peering softly towards the boy who'd just said her name.

"Yes, Roxas?"

"Um..."

Roxas stared at Naminé for a moment, taking in just how beautiful she was before dropping his gaze, peering down to his feet as he swing his legs from the dock.

"Nothing..." he said flatly.

"Nuts!" Axel muttered, clenching his teeth in frustration.

As Roxas stared down where his feet were hanging over the water below the dock, Naminé gazed up at him. She quietly looked over the boy who had gone from being simply someone she wanted to meet just once - to being a very important figure in her life.

"Roxas?" she whispered.

Roxas instantly turned back towards Naminé, his gaze fixing to hers as his blue eyes locked with her own.

"Yes?" he answered.

"Yes?" Axel echoed quietly, unable to avert his own gaze from the younger Nobodies as he hoped once again they were about to do what he wanted to see from them.

Naminé peered up at Roxas for a moment before breaking her gaze from his. She fidgeted with her hands in front of her, pressing her fingertips together.

"Nothing..." she said shyly.

"Darn it!" Axel growled heatedly, his teeth clenching in all his irritation as he flexed his hands tightly into fists. "That does it! I can't stand it any longer!"

No longer making an effort to stay unnoticed, Axel marched onto the dock. His footsteps clamped against the wood as he stormed towards the two blondes. The noise he made led the two of them to look over their shoulders. Both were surprised to see the red-haired Nobody was there with them.

"Axel?" Naminé exclaimed, astonished.

"Axel, what are you doing?" Roxas demanded. "How long have you been-"

"Shut up!" Axel roared, placing his hands on the back of the young Nobodies' heads. "And kiss!"

Before Roxas and Naminé could react, they felt Axel pushing their heads forcefully towards one another. There was nothing the surprised blondes could do as they came face-to-face - with their lips crashing into each other.

Axel smiled upon seeing the tender contact his friends were making at last. He was pleased to have closed up the gap between them. He removed his hands away from the back of their heads, pleased they were making no effort to pull away from each other. They closed their eyes as they remained locked together, enjoying their kiss in the sunset.

It seemed like an eternity before Roxas and Naminé finally pulled away. Bright red hues were on their cheeks from the passionate moment they'd shared. Warm smiles found their way to their faces with they exchanged with one another - before turning with shocked looks to face the one responsible for their kiss.

"Axel!" Roxas cried.

"What did you do that for?" Naminé asked.

"It had to be done!" Axel explained. "It was clear you two were not gonna make a move to kiss, even though I could tell that was what you both wanted to do! So I figured the pair of you needed a little help!"

"A little...?" Roxas murmured, bewildered.

"Help?" Naminé added, equally astonished.

"That's what friends are for!" Axel grinned and pointed to the side of his head. "Got it memorized?"
