Chapter 10: Wedding Invitations

Po's POV:

I can't believe what just happened. My daughter has been kidnapped right in front of me. I wished I could have done more but Tai Lung has threatened me. I can't help but blame myself, that it is my fault that Lana got kidnapped. I quickly rushed over to Shifu when he woke up.

"Shifu! Are you okay?" I asked him worriedly.

"I'm fine," Shifu said weakly.

"Shifu! Lana has been kidnapped! Tai Lung has taken her." I said frantically.

"What?" Shifu said.

"Yes. What do we do?" I asked. Shifu thought for a moment before speaking up again.

"Go get the Five. Hurry!" Shifu said. Wasting no time, I rushed out of the Jade Palace and towards the end of the Vally where everyone was making their journey. I met up with the Five.

"Po? What is it?" Tigress asked.

"Shifu needs you guys back at the Jade Palace," I said.

"Why? What happened?" Tigress asked.

"Tai Lung took Lana," I said. As soon as those words left my mouth, Tigress let out an angry growl. The rest of the Five's expressions turned to worry and sadness. We made our way back to the Jade Palace. I just hoped we could come up with a plan to save Lana before it is too late.

Lana's POV:

Some time has passed since Tai Lung has proposed to me. The feeling of defeat has been tormenting me so much. My heart races as the reality sinks in. I am being forced to marry Tai Lung, my father's enemy. I never imagined my life would take such a dark turn.

My hands tremble as I try to break free from the chains that bind me. I pull and pull, desperate for freedom but the chains wouldn't budge.

Just then, Tai Lung entered the cell. "Why won't you just let me go?" I cry out.

Tai Lung's eyes narrow, his anger evident. "You think you can escape that easily?" He sneers, his voice dripping with venom. "I won't allow it. You belong to me now."

I could only glare at him when he said those words. Tai Lung looks at the guards as he holds out some invitations meant for a wedding. Tai Lung hands the letters to the guard and gives out orders.

"Go send these letters to the Furious Five, the Dragon Warrior, and Shifu. They will witness a wedding they will never forget." Tai Lung said. The guards nodded and left the cell. Tai Lung looks at me with a smirk.

"Soon my dear sister, you will submit to me." Tai Lung said. Ta Lung left the cell. At that moment I knew I had to escape. I gathered all of my strength and threw myself against the chains once more.

Crack!

The sound of metal snapping fills the air, and a spark of hope washes over me. I broke free!

I sprint towards the exit with adrenaline rushing through my veins. But just as I reached the door, I felt a powerful hand grip my arm, yanking me back with brute force. I looked back to see Tai Lung glaring at me.

"You thought you could escape from me?" Tai Lung growls. I struggle against his grip with my heart pounding in my chest.

"Let me go! I won't marry you!" I yelled. Tai Lung's grip tightens. His claws dig deeper into my skin, breaking the skin and making it bleed.

"You have no choice." He hisses, his voice laced with cruelty. "I will make you submit to me, one way or another."

Tears blur my vision as desperation takes over. "I will never submit to you," I said. "I will fight until my last breath."

Tai Lung's eyes burned with rage. "We shall see." Tai Lung says, his voice cold and calculated. "But for now you will remain here."

Tai Lung pushes me up against the wall and locks the chains around my wrists and my feet again, tightening them even tighter this time.

"Next time you pull a stunt like that again, I will punish you myself. And trust me, neither of us wants to go there. You have been warned." Tai Lung said before leaving the cell and slamming the door behind him.

I have no choice but to brace myself for the unknown ahead of me.

Po's POV:

When we got back to the Jade Palace, we gathered around Shifu to discuss a plan to rescue Lana. We had no idea where Lana was being held so that part was going to be a challenge.

"I could fly around and see if I can find the place Lana is being held at," Crane suggested.

"That would be good. And then we can break in and get her out of there." Viper said.

"We can't just break in. Tai Lung is dangerous, and he probably has that place surrounded." Tigress said irritably. After some time of discussing, Zeng the messenger flew inside carrying some paper.

"Letters from Tai Lung, Master Shifu," Zeng said, handing the letters over to Shifu. Shifu took the letters from him and started to read. We gathered around and read the letters too. The letters said:

YOU'RE INVITED!

Lana and,

Tai Lung

INVITED YOU TO JOIN THEM TO CELEBRATE THEIR MARRIAGE

THE WEDDING TAKES PLACE ON TUESDAY MAY 8TH, 2023 AT 12:00 PM

AT THE VALLY OF PEACE AT THE TOP OF THE HILL.

FOLLOWED BY AN EVENING RECEPTION AT THE JADE PALACE.

Mine and the rest of the Five's faces went from worried to shocked in a matter of seconds. Tai Lung and Lana were getting married?

"A wedding?" Monkey asked with curiosity.

"Tai Lung must be forcing her to marry him," Tigress said.

"This can't be..." I said with some tears forming in my eyes. My daughter doesn't deserve to go through any of this. Tigress put her paw on my shoulder to comfort me. Some of my sadness turned to anger.

"Tai Lung will pay," I growled.

"Don't worry, Po. We will rescue your daughter, I promise." Viper assured me.

"We will rescue her at the wedding," Shifu said.

"What?" Monkey said.

"At the wedding?" Mantis said.

"You know if we try to save her there then the place will be chaos," Tigress said.

"Yes, but it is the only chance we got. Since she will be there, we will know where she is." Shifu said.

"Okay, then I propose we do it at the reception. Since there will be more people there, we can do it without Tai Lung noticing." Crane said.

"That's a good idea. But what if Tai Lung has guards there?" I asked.

"Then we can cause a distraction," Tigress said.

I sighed with relief, knowing that we had a plan in place to rescue Lana. The wedding will be in a few weeks from now, so I have some time to prepare until then. I ran to tell my dad the news of our daughter's kidnapping and the wedding that would be happening shortly. Of course, he freaked out like any father would.

"We have to save her, Po!" Mr. Ping cried.

"We will. Me and the Five have a plan to rescue her." I assured him. Mr. Ping didn't calm down though. That night, I had a hard time sleeping. My daughter's absence weighed heavily on my shoulders.

Just hold on Lana, we're coming.
