Epilogue
Three weeks later…
Dr. Bradford's Office…
David turned out to be right, as about a couple days after the surgery, Don was able to tell everyone about his conversation with Bradford and they all agreed, as they really didn't want this whole ordeal to continue as is.
Bradford had to do individual sessions, as Colby and Don were still in recovery and he wanted to have a session or two with David before moving to more group therapy-oriented sessions.
It felt awkward for David, as he didn't know if it was a good idea to start this way, but he figured it was for the best since he really needed to work through his feelings.
The awkwardness didn't end when they all were all together, as he worried about aggravating his friend's injuries with the possible stress of their discussions.
"Colby, why don't you start?" Bradford suggested
"David… I know you're probably still mad at me for the whole spy thing but I hope you really understand that I didn't have much of a choice and it really hurt with how you treated me." Colby said, really nervous in talking about all this.
David didn't get a chance to say anything before Colby continued
"I just want you to know that I am willing to give you another chance to make things right, if you are up to it." Colby said, as he just wanted to get past this.
"I am, just like I told you before and I will try to make things right with you, and the rest of the team." David promised.
The tension relaxed rather quickly after that, as it made it easier for them to slowly go back to being friends again.
Even with Megan announcing that she was going on leave for a couple months to deal with some things and Don admitting that he was just offered a promotion and he was planning on taking it, they were still a team and nothing will change that.
David knew that he and Colby had a long way to go, especially since he'll be put in charge of the team for the time being but he knew that whatever happens, they have each other's back.
Fin.
