Hey guy's, UltraPhantom here and back! I am sorry for the long wait; I was too busy with finals and had to really put my time on it, so I did not work on those stories or my own at that time last month. But when I did finally finish, I needed to take a break from everything so I spent a week relaxing and living life, then work kept me busy until I finally finished today or Sunday…. whenever you guys read this. I would have been finished soon but I went back and retype some stuff that needed to be edited.
I hope you all enjoy this chapter; it was definitely interesting to write. On another note, Ben and Rex are 17 due to it taking place after UAF, Danny is 16 as it seems like each season is a year old so I say 16, while Zak looks like 16 in this series, idk if Ironn117Prime mentioned it or not. But he agreed with this when I first started this series.
From Iron117Prime… for those who don't know, Martin Mull, the voice actor for Vlad Plasmius, has very recently passed away. So, before we start, I'd like to take a moment to pay respects for the man and wish the best for his family.
Thank you.
Part 2
In the vast expanse of the cosmos, the Plumber HQ, which has been transformed into a starship from its original base structure, continued its course through hyperspace towards the destination pre-programmed by Technus.
Even though the Plumbers, the Avengers, and their allies were no longer in the base, or even this dimension, there were still a few Plumbers and several criminals currently incarcerated within the bae's cellblock. Despite the chaos that occurred only moments ago, these villains were still confined within their cells, all of which could practically feel the movement outside.
Dr. Animo, one of Ben's notorious adversaries, struggled to maintain his balance as the ship jolted violently. "What is happening out there?" he exclaimed, trying to steady himself.
Meanwhile, Rojo observed with a look of curiosity from her own cell. "I'm not sure about this, but it's definitely going to be interesting." She said with a smirk.
"It almost feels like this place is moving." Frightwig commented as she and her teammates were in a shared cell.
"If it weren't for this damn muzzle, I could melt our way out of here and find out." Acid Breath tried again to tear off the muzzle that covered his mouth, but was unable too.
"Hey, what's going on?!" Thumbs pounded on the cell door with both of his fists. "Is this place moving or not?!"
"Don't you worry, kiddies." Zombozo sang from inside his own cell that happened to be next to that of his subordinates. "I get the feeling we'll get an answer soon."
At that moment, an alarm suddenly blared, catching all the villains' attention To their astonishment, their cell doors swung open, granting them unexpected freedom. Adding to the confusion, they each emerged from their respective cells only to witness several robots entering through another door, each carrying one or two unconscious Plumbers, and spread out to deposit said Plumbers into nearby cells.
"Those robots belong to the Plumbers." Animo observed.
"So why are they dumping their own guys?" Frightwig questioned.
"Guess they must have glitched or something." Rojo commented. "Serves them right."
"Broaden your imagination, sweetie." Zomobozo snickered, causing Rojo to shiver as he stepped closer to her. "Someone's causing trouble here at Plumber HQ, and they're no friends to the fuzz. Which means, they might be friends for us."
"Well, someone's actually got a brain." A nearby security camera shined a light in front of them, which revealed the holographic form of none other than the ghost responsible for this current state of affairs.
"And who the hell are you?" Acid Breath questioned, looking distrustfully.
"Salutations, pitiful earthlings." cackled Technus wickedly, his malevolent grin sending shivers down the spines of the Circus Freak trio and even Rojo, while Zomobozo smirked and Animo looked with interest. "I am Technus, the ghostly master of science and electrical technology!" he proclaimed triumphantly, as his holographic form grew and bolts of green electricity crackled from his outstretched hands. "I have successfully overtaken this Plumber base, transforming it into a powerful starship, and banished Ben 10 and his feeble allies to the Null Void dimension. We are currently hurtling through the cosmos to a very specific planet. Who will join me?!" he thundered, his maniacal smile and icy-cold gaze casting down upon them
"Hard pass." Rojo held out her hand. "I tried teaming up with these guys before, and it was a disaster." She gestured towards Animo, Zomobozo, and the Circus Freaks.
"Feeling's mutual." Frightwig glared.
"Eh yeah… why should we help you?" Thumbskull questioned.
"I highly doubt he's giving us a choice." Animo commented. "If what he said is true, then there's nowhere to go but the void of space outside. We're not free, we're just in a bigger cage."
"Right you are. But if you help me, I guarantee your freedom. And more power than you can possibly know what to do with." Technus commented.
A sinister smirk formed on Zombozo's face. "I don't know… I got quite the imagination, and I can imagine a lot of power. But… given that you just turned this base into a starship, I won't say that I'm not intrigued. Alright, Technus was it…? You got a deal."
Technus himself flickered into his ghost form within the secure confines of the command center. "Glad to hear it. Now standby, you'll be getting directions soon enough." He said to the holographic screen that showed what was happening in the detention area before snapping his fingers, causing the screen to vanish.
But the ghost wasn't the only one in the command center, he gazed to his right to see Breach still unconscious and contained within a green energy field, hovering just above the ground with the still-active prods keeping the containment field going.
Just then, Technus felt an electrical jolt in his own ghostly aura. "Oop, getting a call." Flicking his fingers to a nearby monitor, the screen turned to static before revealing three of the members of the Cabal, consisting of Modula, Vlad Plasmius, and Vilgax.
"Technus. Have you completed your mission?" Modula questioned.
"Absolutely."Technus confirmed with great delight, letting out a chuckle. "Plumbers' HQ is mine, and we're currently enroute to Galvan Prime. It was something of a challenge to navigate through all the security firewalls they put up, but as the Master of Technology, I could dose those fires easy enough. I even let out a few of the prisoners here for some extra cannon fodder."
"What of the Avengers?" Vlad asked.
"In the Null Void as we speak." Technus answered. "All except for our little runaway." He gestured towards the contained Breach. "Without her, it'll be way more difficult to escape and regroup. I even took the liberty of disabling any tech they might have, though the Omnitrix might be able to recover, it's not like that can cross between dimensions, right?"
"Excellent work, Technus." Modula praised "With the codes that you have from the base, you should be able to bypass Galvan Prime's defense systems."
"By eliminating not only that planet, but also Azmuth himself, we should be able to deal a critical blow to the power structure of this particular universe." Vilgax stated as the Cabal plotted their next move.
"But what exactly do we do with Breach?" Technus asked. "She was very resistant, I had to knock her out just to shut her up."
"If you cannot find a way to put her back under our control, then she is to be terminated." Modula informed the techno ghost. "We absolutely cannot allow a power like hers to remain in the enemy's hands."
"Once you reach Galvan Prime, kill Azmuth immediately." Vilgax orders Technus, clenching his fist for emphasis. "But be warned, the Galvan are the most technologically advanced race in this universe. Do not underestimate them, especially their leader."
"Not a problem!" Technus said before the call ended, the screen turning blank and leaving Technus alone again. "How marvelous alien technology of this universe is, so much so that it makes even the most advanced the tech of my dimension look like stuff cavemen would work with. And the best part, I'm going straight to the most advanced civilization in this universe, perhaps the whole multiverse! The Cabal think I'm on their side? Ha! That's rich! Once I take control of Galvan Prime, nothing, not even they nor the Avengers will stand in my way! And I, Technus, shall rule the multiverse!" He laughed at his own plan but stopped abruptly. "Nobody heard that, right? I'm not announcing my plans to anyone again?" Looking around briefly, Technus saw that he was indeed alone, excluding the unconscious Breach who was unable to hear him. "Yeah, I'm good." He said to himself before laughing again.
At the same time, the Avengers and their current allies had found themselves stranded and separated across different areas within the vast and mostly empty and quiet dimension that was Null Void.
One particular group consisted of Danny, Zak, Rufus, Komodo, Molly, and Driba, appeared to be stranded on a peculiar trail constructed from levitating rocks in the empty void.
Zak carefully rummaged through his backpack and pulled out a well-stocked med-kit, which he opened to pull out a bandage to wrap around Molly's injured leg. "There, that should help with the pain until we get home." Zak reassures her.
"Thank you, Zak." Molly expressed her gratitude as he helped her up, supporting her as she gingerly tests her weight on the injured leg. "I owe you one." she said with a hint of relief in her voice.
"Nah, it's fine." Zakk reassured her before glancing at the others. "Have any of you been able to reach anyone?" he asked as he noticed his Danny trying to use his Avenger to contact the rest of their team.
"Nothing." Danny informed only getting static on the other end of their communicators. "Technus must have messed with our communicators before sending us here."
"Yeah, yeah." Rufus said as he nodded while on Danny's shoulders.
"My powers are back, though." Danny said as a pair of white rings formed at his waist and he transformed into Danny Phantom. "You'd think Technus would have taken that off the table, too."
"That's because that containment field back at the base will only neutralize powers and weapons so long as you're in the field." Molly explained to the ghost boy. "It doesn't neutralize powers permanently, thankfully. But it can still mess with tech."
"Well, that's something. Which means everyone else should have their powers back. That'll make easier to find them in this Null Void." Danny said to which Zak nodded as they both looked around at the empty space, they currently dwelled in. "It kinda reminds me of the Ghost Zone only more… empty. Not sure I like that."
"Speaking of... Driba? What can you tell us about this place?" Zak asked as he turned in the direction he last saw the Galvan… only for him and everyone else to look in surprise to see Driba was no longer there.
But they did see Komodo nearby. His mouth was full, as if he was struggling to swallow something, something that gave a loud muffling noise from inside, causing all three of them to realize what had just happened.
"No! Bad Komodo dragon!" Zak scolds as they all sprinted over, desperately trying to get Komodo to listen as they held the overgrown reptile tightly, with Molly looking to try and pull the Heimlich-maneuver, but the stubborn creature wouldn't budge. "Spit him out!" he ordered his brother. "Don't make me use my powers on you!"
"I'll take care of it." Danny said with a heavy sigh. He concentrated, making his hand intangible, then reached into the dragon's mouth and carefully extracted Driba, who was drenched in drool. "You okay?"
The Galvan looked in a daze. "I saw my life flash before my eyes... Ha! In your face Blukic! I told you that was true!" He said in glee before Danny dropped him with an eye roll.
"You can't eat him, Komodo. We need him." Zak scolded. However, Komodo didn't even appear apologetic, maintaining a nonchalant look on his scaly face and a growl.
"Bad dragon!" Rufus chimed in, still standing on Danny's shoulder and pointed to Komodo, who simply hissed his tongue at him.
"Alright, our next step should be regrouping with the others." Molly said. "Let's see if we…" However, she was interupted by a series of growls coming from the trail of rocks on their left
The group turned to see a pack of otherworldly beings. These creatures had canine paws with sharp, curving claws, and quills that ran along their backs. What stood out the most was the absence of visible eyes; instead, they had gill-like nostrils on the sides of their necks. Their bodies were a striking purple-red color, and their mouths were unearthly, with worm-like tongues, chapped lips, and four large fangs. Long tails with stripes of a lighter shade of purple-red extended from their powerful bodies.
"Vulpimancers." Molly said with a hint of panic in her voice.
"Who?" Danny asked, looking concerned.
"Wildmutt is what Ben calls them." Molly explained.
"But these guys look like they wanna call us lunch." Driba said fearfully as he observed the twenty Vulpimancers gathered in a pack before rushing towards the group.
At the same time, Rook was perched on the edge of a floating mountain in the Null Void, currently looking through the scope of his Proto-Tool's rifle-mode.
"Can you see anything?" Kim asked as she walked up towards him.
"No. Simply more rocks and the vast emptiness of the Null Void." Rook answered.
"And our comms are still staticky." Kim said with an annoyed sigh. "You got any ideas how this place works, Rook? Don't Plumbers send their prisoners here?"
"The most dangerous ones, yes." Rook confirmed. "Unfortunately, my knowledge on the Null Void is very limited, despite my extensive studies. And this is the first time I ever ventured into this territory, so I'm afraid I may not be much help. But perhaps transportation…" However, he and Kim turned around to look in surprise to see Ship curled in on himself and fidgeting, almost like a small animal in pain.
"Oh Ship…" Julie picked up her pet and held him close with Fiskerton looking curiously at him. Kim and Ron were quick to join up with them as Julie looked toward them with concern. "He's hurting… I've never seen him hurt like this before."
"Whatever Technus did to mess with our comms is probably affecting him too." Kim guessed.
"Ship is a Galvanic Mechamorph, and they are essentially living technology. It would be wise to make that assumption." Rook said, which only caused Julie further duress. "However, Mechamorphs are nothing if not adaptable. Given time, I believe Ship will make a recovery."
This caused Julie to smile at him gratefully. "Thank you."
Kim kneeled down to Julie's level to gently rub her hand on Ship's body, hoping to provide some form of comfort. "Ben told us how you and Ship here are pretty close, and I can see why. He's cute. In a techy-alien sorta way."
Julie giggled slightly. "Yeah, Ship and I have quite a history. He's actually been with me ever since my first date with Ben."
"In a way, he's kinda like your guys' kid." Kim joked, causing Julie to blush.
"C'est l'amour!" Fiskerton growled as he formed a heart with his hands.
"Since when do you growl in French?" Kim asked jokingly.
Julie couldn't help but laugh herself, despite the situation they were in, it was still nice to see that she wasn't alone. Ben's made some pretty good friends that she can definitely see herself hanging out with. Once they're out of this predicament, that is.
However, Fiskerton soon became alert as he picked up an unusual scent, and positioned himself like he was ready for combat with a growl, much to the concern of the others.
"What is wrong?" Rook asked.
"I think he senses trouble." Kim assumed.
That statement proved to be accurate as a multitude of creatures began to climb up from the ridge below and onto the summit where the heroes were at. They were all relativley short in size, but they had a very uncanny apperance with them such as red skin and glowing red eyes, along with circular mouths that remained open to reveal a ring of teeth inside. And there appeared to be well over a dozen of them as they all growled and snarled at the heroes.
"Rook?" Kim asked, hoping that he knew what they were as she took a combative position.
"Havoc Beasts." The Plumber identified as he aimed his Proto-Tool in its rifle-mode at the horde of creatures before them. "An alien lifeform native to the Null Void. They are extremely aggressive and hostile."
"Figured. Julie, stay behind us." Kim told her.
"No argument here." She replied as she held Ship close, hoping he would recover soon, just as the Havoc Beasts all charged forward.
Meanwhile, the group that consisted of Rex, Jake, Lance, Gwen, Max, and Zon find themselves engaged in a fierce battle against a relentless pack of Null Guardians on a large and flat asteroid.
The Null Guardians were formidable creatures with elongated bodies that consist of a gaping maw, a pair of wings, and approximately 7 tentacles at the base. Their teeth are uniquely shaped, and they had a lack eyes or ears, giving them a striking resemblance to Vulpimancers. These creatures were purplish-gray in color and grew short spines on their dorsal side and tentacles, which are directly connected to their synapses, enhancing their formidable presence.
On a precarious floating rock, Gwen's eyes shimmered with the raw power of mana before she unleashed a fierce blast that sent several Null Guardians reeling, knocking them back and hitting the others with unerring accuracy.
Rex flew on his Boogie Pack with a pack of Null Guardians at his heels before Rex picked up some speed to gain some distance before turning around and allowed the Null Guardians to fly in close.
"Alright, feo! You want some of this?!" He formed his titular Smack Hands and flew back at the flying monsters, smashing and striking down several. Though it would seem he would find himself overwhelmed, prompting Rex to shield himself with his metallic hands as the Null Guardians all pounced on him. However, they were quickly blown back a rapidly-expanded blue energy barrier that Rex had erected, thanks to quickly forming his Block Party build.
Amidst the chaos, Lance skillfully leapt along a rocky ridge as two Null Guardians chased after him. Once he made it to the top, one came at him first and tried to lash out with its tentacles, but Lance quickly chopped and punched with his hands to knock away all the tentacles before coming at the Null Guardian's underbelly to deal multiple rapid-punches to disorient it before following through with a powerful enough kick to knock it into the second one that had just came up, causing them both to fall back down the slope.
Lance didn't get much of a chance to celebrate however as another Null Guardian flew in behind him and used its tentacles to bind his arms and legs, pulling them apart and brought the struggling Lance in closer towards its open mouth.
Only for that one Null Guardian to be crushed under a pair of Punk Busters, courtesy of the smirking Rex. "Guess you owe me one, Lance."
"Focus, Rex!" Lance told him as he spotted another Null Guardian incoming and dashed towards a nearby rock, and used that rock to vault himself over the Null Guardian, and right into the firing-line of Rex's Slam Cannon, sending it flying with one shot. "Count yourself lucky that your Nanites are still working, unlike my armor."
"That Technus guy tried to mess with my tech before, it didn't work out for him." Rex maintained his smirk. "Don't expect him to do so again." Another pack of Null Guardians had arrived, forcing the duo to come back-to-back. "But these guys here are starting to get on my nerve."
"Looks we can agree on something, then." Lance commented.
At the same time, the American Dragon, dominated the skies with his awe-inspiring acrobatics. With a fluid combination of kicks and punches, he took down several Null Guardians before grabbing one and spinning it with dizzying speed. Teeming with agility, he then hurled the Null Guardian, causing a chain reaction that collided with the enemies that Rex and Lance.
"Yo, who else wants a piece of the Am Drag?!" Jake challenged as he flew up higher with a pack of Null Guardians chasing after him. Jake then unleashed a torrent of scorching flames to blast all the Null Guardians down.
Zon cawed angrily and frustratingly as she tangled with a Null Guardian in the air, using her talons and teeth to try and tear into it, only for the pterodactyl to get ensnared by the Null Guardian's many tentacles. Fortunately, Max had leapt onto the creature's back and was able to yank it back somewhat, allowing Zon some space to bite down onto one of the tentacles, causing the Null Guardian to cry in pain and loosen its grip around her before she slammed her head into it to knock it to the ground.
Max had rolled over and picked himself up and was greeted by Zon who cooed as she nuzzled herself against his arm thankfully. "Okay, okay, you're welcome." The old man smiled as he patted Zon's head before looking to see the situation with his granddaughter and her friends still battling against the Null Guardians. "Now… there's gotta be an alpha in a pack this big."
He looked around and happened to spot one Null Guardian in particular hovering higher in the air and not attacking like the others, but more so observing the situation. This one was also noticeably gigger than the others.
"Gotcha." Max smirked before looking to Zon. "Think you could help me?"
Zon screeched in agreement.
Gwen had thrown a multitude of Mana disks forward to knock back several Null Guardians that continued to fly her way. But no matter how many times she knocked them down, they just seemed to get right back up soon after. It was getting really irritating.
"Hey, Gwen!" She heard her grandfather call her name and looked to see him waving at her. "See that big one, up there?!" He pointed to the alpha he spotted. "Get it to come down closer!"
"Okay, I'll try." Trusting her grandpa's judgment, Gwen created a series of mana platforms that led up into the sky, creating a staircase that would lead her close to the alpha. One she determined she was close enough, Gwen shot her hands forward to create a series of Mana restraints which attempted to ensnare the alpha, only for it to fly down and avoid them, while also moving quickly to smash the Mana platform that Gwen was currently standing on, causing her to fall.
Though Jake was quick to fly in and catch her. "Gotcha!"
"Try and lure that thing closer to the ground!" Gwen told him.
"No prob." Jake saw the incoming alpha. "Hey, mouth-boy! Come and try eat this!" He flew straight down with the alpha in hot pursuit. The closer they got to the ground however, the closer the alpha seemed to be getting. It looked like it was about to close in as it opened its mouth to devour both Jake and Gwen whole…
Only for Zon to fly in, carrying Max by his shoulders and threw him at the hide of the beast, causing the alpha to roll on the ground as Max caught a hold of it. He struggled against the alpha for a bit until he grasped at a certain point in its side, just under its jaw and pinched hard. This caused the alpha to lower itself, calming down somewhat before Max hopped onto its back.
The alpha then gave a loud call, prompting all the nearby Null Guardians to stop their fighting, much to the confusion of Rex and Lance in particular before flying to the alpha. All of the Null Guardians surrounded Max as he remained mounted on the alpha before landing and bowing their heads.
"Uh… what just happened?" Jake asked in confusion as he set Gwen down.
Max smiled to everyone around him as they regrouped. "I worked with these things a while back when I got stranded here. Once you figure out how to tame the alpha, the others follow. Like riding a bike, you never forget."
"Huh…" An impressed smile formed on Rex's face before he clapped. "Alright, not bad, old man."
'Six would definitely be jealous.'
"I'm honestly impressed." Lance admitted in surprise.
Jake grinned himself, looking to Gwen. "Your grandpa is a badass. He should totally meet mine."
"Yeah, he is." Gwen wasn't surprised in the least.
"No time to sit around, hop on." Max gestured, prompting Gwen and Lance to each mount one Null Guardian. "These guys know their way around the Null Void, hopefully we can find the others and get back soon."
With that, the alpha Null Guardian took off, along with the rest of the pack as Gwen and Lance rode their respective Guardians while Jake, Rex, and Zon flew alongside them with their own methods.
Meanwhile, the remaining heroes, including Ben, Ron, Kevin, Illana, Blukic, Octus, and Patelliday were lucky enough to come across a group of Null Void settlers who provide them with food. Interestingly, this group of settlers had turned out to be the same one that Ben and the Plumber Helpers assisted when Animo took over two years ago. However, the Alien Farmers appear to have undergone significant changes since Ben last encountered them.
The father appeared to have aged gracefully, now relying on a sleek, polished cane for support. His eyes, which had always been strikingly blue, were emphasized by his big, deep black pupils. In the meantime, the son whom Ben had saved seemed to have matured into a tall, sturdy man, surpassing his father's height at the same age. The family group was completed by the son's wife and their young child, who added a sense of warmth and joy to the gathering.
As the group sat around a fire in a cave, all of them were handed bowls of food, for which Illana expressed her gratitude. "Thank you for the food."
"Yeah, sorry for the inconvenience." Ben said apologetically.
"It's no trouble at all, Ben Tennyson." Ellis said, the Alien Farmer's son, introducing himself to the group. "We're more than happy to repay you for everything you've done. You can count on us to help you and your friends."
Ben nodded in appreciation before turning to Octus. "Any progress yet?" he inquired, directing his question to one of the team's tech experts."
Octus, in his transparent robotic form, held his, Ben's, and Illana's ID cards inside his body as his internal circuitry tried to work at repairing them. "Not good. The internal circuitry is almost completely fried. Technus more than likely did it on purpose to keep us from contacting the others and using our portal technology to escape."
"Probably the reason he kept Breach too." Ben said, causing Illana to look down with worry, fearing for her teammate.
"My armor's out of commission too." The princess said as she tried to use it herself but got no activity from it despite her own tampering. "I can't even contact Lance with it."
"Let me take a look." Kevin offered, to which Illana handed him her golden watch as he inspected it himself. "Hmm, nice design. Certainly, beats yours, Tennyson." He joked.
"Oh, so you know about jewelry and accessories. Guess Gwen's turned you into a softie, huh?" Ben joked, causing Kevin to punch his arm with a smirk.
Despite the seriousness of the group's situation, Illana smiled at Ben and Kevin's exchange. Nice to know how they could keep some form of optimism going. She then turned towards Patelliday as he sat next to her.
"If this Null Void is a prison under the Plumber's jurisdiction, don't you know of a way out?" She asked.
"It's a bit more complicated than that, I'm afraid." Patelliday explained. "The Null Void stretches on infinitely in all direction. It literally goes on forever. We got a few facilities scattered all around, notably prisons, but because they're so thoroughly scattered, communication between all of them is shotty."
"So how close would the nearest prison be?" Illana wondered. "Maybe we can use that to teleport out of here."
"I'm afraid the nearest prison facility would be a week's journey by foot." Elis answered. "My people try to keep our distance away from those locations for… obvious reasons."
"And even if we did just end up there, the prisons' portal systems only allow people to come in, not go out." Kevin added. "It keeps the inmates from busting out of here."
"And most of the facilities are manned by machines." Patelliday put in. "Even if there is personnel there, shifts change every twelve hours. And unless my internal clock is messed up, we'd have ten before the next change if we were to arrive now."
"Ten hours would be more than enough time for Technus and the Cabal to do whatever they want with the base." Ben said, looking serious. "But why hijack Plumbers' base in the first place?"
"To deal a blow to the enemy's side?" Octus assumed.
"The Plumbers aren't just stationed on Earth. They got thousands of bases all over the galaxy." Kevin said. "Taking out one might deal some damage, but nothing permanent."
"And we all know by now that the Cabal has never been so straight forward with their plans." Ben added "They targeted that base for a reason."
"But since we're stuck here, all but powerless…" Illana muttered. "What about the Omnitrix, Ben? Is it still working?"
Ben looked at his own watch for a moment. The first that he noticed upon his arrival in the Null Void was the Omnitrix had been locked down. It was probably a safety feature that Azmuth had installed to keep any outside forces from hacking in. But it's been a couple hours, and no outside force has tried to breach the watch since, so maybe…
"Omnitrix, system status."
The device beeped a few times before a green light shined in the center. "System fully functional."
Ben smiled at that. "Command Function Override. Zero-one-zero-zero-one, disengage system lockdown."
"Command code recognized. Disengaging system lockdown." With that, the Omnitrix shined back to life, causing everyone in the group to smile or smirk.
"Welcome back, baby." Ben grinned.
"Now we can find the others and plan a way out of here!" Illana looked more than a little hopeful.
"And get a plan of attack going for the freak that hijacked our base." Kevin grinned.
As Ben looked around, he happened to spot Octus, who still had the Avengers ID cards inside him. This gave him something of an epiphany.
"Hey Octus, I think I found a way we can get out of here. Not only that… but I think I know a way we can even improve our communications and transportation. Even if we're in separate universes, and we don't have Breach with us."
"Oh, I know that look." Kevin smirked before glancing at Illana. "That's Tennyson's signature 'I got a crazy idea' look."
"I'm guessing he's done a lot of those?" Illana assumed.
"You have no idea." Kevin replied.
Octus' transparent form had changed into his Newton guise as he had a smirk to match Ben's. "I'm listening."
From the perspective of outer space, Galvan Prime is visually characterized by its pale green coloration. The dominant feature of the planet is a gigantic crater, surrounded by a vast expanse of dark green terrain.
Galvan Prime, also known as Galvan Mark II after being rebuilt following the original planet's destruction at the hands of the Highbreed, holds significance as the former homeworld of the Omnivoracious. It currently serves as the home planet of the Galvan species and is known to have at least one moon, Galvan B, which is the home of the Galvanic Mechamorphs. The star that the planet orbits is named Galvan.
Galvan Prime is an intriguing world where advanced technology coexists with quaint and unassuming villages nestled inside massive mushrooms. The Galvans have seamlessly integrated their sophisticated technology into their everyday lives, with glimpses of their innovation peeking through in the form of hidden laboratories and awe-inspiring monuments dotted across the planet. Of all the remarkable laboratories, the most renowned is the domain of the esteemed First Thinker, Azmuth, who was most widely known as the creator of the Omnitrix.
Azmuth was deeply engrossed in his work, his eyes focused intently through the lens of a powerful microscope. The laboratory was filled with the quiet hum of machinery, creating an atmosphere of tranquility that Azmuth found particularly conducive to his research. For hours, he had been completely absorbed in his work, undisturbed and content.
When Myaxx, a distinguished member of the Chimera Sui Generis species and formerly an esteemed assistant to Azmuth within the DNA Force, strode into his state-of-the-art laboratory, she was adorned in crimson armor that shimmered in the dim light. Her once diminutive tentacles had undergone a remarkable transformation, extending gracefully and now bearing a striking resemblance to a flowing mane of hair. Noticeably absent were the characteristic facial tentacles that had previously defined her unique appearance.
"Azmuth." Myaxx greeted her boss.
"What is it, Myaxx?" Azmuth asked in annoyance of being disturbed. "I'm busy." He commented, not taking his eyes off his current project.
"When are you not?" Myaxx questioned rhetorically before getting to the point. "But there seems to be an approaching vessel. It has submitted the necessary codes and register as a Plumbers' vessel."
"And I care why?" Azmuth asked before dismissing it. "Tell the Plumbers to land on the loading dock near the water."
"Actually, it seems that that long-range scanners have revealed that the ship, is actually the Earth-base itself."
Azmuth finally took his eyes off his current project and looked directly at Myaxx, who had a very serious look on face, telling him that she was not joking. Azmuth then waved his hand, causing a holographic monitor to appear in front of them, revealing the approaching vessel that was the hijacked Plumbers' base that was already reaching the planet's orbit.
"Have you tried contacting anyone inside?" Azmuth asked.
"Yes, but no response." Myaxx replied. "You think it's a trap?"
"Obviously."
Multiple holographic images of Galvan Prime, such as the planet's surface as well as its vast and technological infrastructure had all but surrounded Technus as he remained in control onboard the base's command center. And as he gazed at all of it, he couldn't stop himself from geeking out.
"This… this surpasses even my wildest of imaginations…!" He said like a giddy schoolgirl. "Such beautiful technology… it's practically divine…" His excited expression turned into one of sinister malevolence. "I can't wait to have it all for myself!"
Suddenly, a colossal, shimmering holographic head materialized directly in the path of the oncoming ship. Its sheer size and eerie, lifelike appearance made it an impossible spectacle for Technus to overlook. And this head belonged to none other than Azmuth himself.
"You are approaching Galavan Prime. Identify yourself immediately, or we will consider you a threat and open fire." demanded Azmuth, the authoritative figure behind the holographic projection, his loud and booming voice echoing through the vacuum of space.
In direct response to that, a holographic form of Technus was broadcasted from the vessel to face that of Azmuth. "I am Technus, master of all technology! And your world of Galvan Prime will soon be mine! But since I'm such a fan of your people's work, and I'm in a pretty good mood myself, I'll give you and your people a chance to leave the planet and make room for the new tenant. Otherwise I'll wipe you and your kind from existence!"
His laugh was heard even from Azmuth's lab as he and Myaxx saw everything through the monitor. The assistant smirked in a humorous fashion. "And here I thought you had a big head."
Azmuth elected to ignore his assistant's comment and activated a communications' device on his cuff. "Attention, Galvanic Mechamorph defenses, engage with the hostile craft immediately. Disable it and be certain that no harm comes to any organic lifeforms inside."
Immediately, a strike force consisting of two dozen Galvanic Mechamorph all flew up from the planet's surface and toward the approaching vessel that still faced Azmuth's holographic head, with Technus' own holographic form observing all the Mechamorphs as they flew all around the ship from top to bottom, to its front and back, to all of its sides, even spacing between them all in a perfect pattern.
In that instance, all of the Mechamorph changed their shapes to resemble something akin to satellites before four beams of green energy were shot out from each of their sides, connecting each Mechamorph to each other as a grid-like force field surrounded the vessel entirely.
"Do you think you are the first to try and challenge us?" Azmuth questioned. "Countless others have all attempted to do so, and they all failed. We've learned from each of those encounters, and it's only made us stronger. I may not know exactly who you are, but I do know that you are outmatched. This is your last warning, surrender or we will use force."
However, Technus didn't seem the least bit intimidated. In fact, he looked more amused than anything. "Ya know, Vilgax said how arrogant you were." The mention of that name caused Azmuth to narrow his eyes. "Granted, it's not unfounded as your probably the smartest being in this universe… but I told you, I'm the master of technology! All you've done is just upgraded my arsenal!"
Immediately, Technus' own ghostly aura formed around the hijacked base before it exploded outward, the aura affected each and everyone of the Galvanic Mechamorphs as they too were encompassed in this ghostly aura before they were pulled directly onto the vessel like magnets.
"What in the…?" Myaxx muttered as she and even Azmuth looked in surprise on the screen to see the Mecamorphs melding around the ship's surface.
All throughout the inside of the hijacked Plumbers' base, the Galvanic Mecamoprh substance, which was coated in a whitish-blue ghostly aura began to spread through every inch of the base. Every hallway and flood, every air duct, every circuit, no one location would be uncovered by this substance.
It even spread to the prison blocks where Zombozo, Animo, Rojo, and the Circus Freaks looked around in surprise and awe, with the maniacal clown smirking in sadistic jubilation.
It even spread to the control center, going directly to the energy prods that kept Breach suspended and unconscious, the energy field around her glowing brighter to the point where her body was no longer visible.
Technus grinned evilly as he transformed into fingers into electrical wires, which he extended and shot out in all directions to the surrounding walls that became enveloped in the Mechamorph liquid-grid like substance. That same substance traveled through Technus' extended appendages and right toward himself as the substance began to envelop and coat his entire body.
From an outside perspective, once the Mecamoprhs had finished completely melding with the hijacked, base it began to re-arrange itself and transform, taking something of a towering humanoid form. It's entire form was black with a green grid-like pattern to it, something of a mix between Technus' other robotic bodies in the past, with that of a Galvanic Mechoprh's body. It had an upper body with two enormous arms with clawed finger tips, enormous wings that resembled like those on a jet. It had no lower body, save for a rocket engine that had glowing green flames emanating from it. It's had a holographic projection for a head which resembled a solid green face with glowing red eyes as he let out a booming laugh with an electrical shockwave shooting out from his body for dramatic purposes.
"Thanks for the upgrade!" Technus' voice boomed. "Now I'll help myself to your planet!" He flew straight down towards the planet's surface.
"Yeah…. I think we just made the problem worse." Myaxx commented while Azmuth looked deathly serious as he contacted his people.
"Activate all Galvan Prime defenses now! Prepare the alpha-war contingency! We must not let our planet fall again!" He ordered as he looked towards the screen to see the enormous robotic body of his newfound enemy approaching fast.
Done.
Once again, UltraPhantom delivered as this story is still going strong.
While the Avengers are beginning to regroup in the Null Void, Technus has made his way to Galvan Prime and has upgraded himself with some Mechamorph technology, making him into an even graver threat than before. But if you think he's dangerous now… let me just say that this is only the beginning.
Can the Avengers escape the Null Void in time to help Azmuth save his planet? Find out next time with the upcoming part three.
