Chapter 31
The Tentacled Game designer part 1
It had been three days since Caius was defeated, the rest of the students had heard what had happened and started to come up with theories. Some say that it was because of black magic, but others said it was far more, unexplainable.
Meanwhile, Jaden and his friends were in their dorm.
"You alight, Blood Fruit?" Asked Moskii, hovering over him.
"I've been thinking about all that's happened", answered Jaden. "The Abandoned Dorm, Jinzo, Caius, it's a lot to take in".
"I know what you mean", said Moskii. "When I first entered Duel Academy, I did not expect any of this to happen. But, I'm kinda glad it did".
"You are?" Asked Jaden.
"Of course", answered Moskii. "Where's the fun in being normal?". She then nibbled on Jaden's neck.
"Ask first. Ask first" said Jaden.
Later that day.
"Did you see those lights coming from the cost?" Asked a Slifer red.
"Lights?" Asked another.
Ra dorm.
"Yeah, I was doing my evening jog by the Slifer dorm", said a Ra student. "And there were these flashing lights".
"Lights?" Asked another.
Obelisk dorm.
"Yeah, they were flashing like crazy", said an Obelisk blue. "And it sounded like something was being, welded".
"Welded?", asked another. "As in, metal work?".
Cafeteria.
"It wasn't just that", said a Slifer red. "But, there was something there and it reeked".
"Reeked?" Asked a Ra yellow.
"Yeah, it smelt like Octopus" answered the Slifer Red.
Slifer Red Dorm.
"An Octopus?" Asked Jaden.
"That's what everyone's saying", answered Alexis. "They can smell it from the sea".
"Are we sure it's even an Octopus?" Asked Jaden.
"What do you mean?" Asked Syrus.
"Because", answered Jaden. "If there's welding, it sounds like it could be more than just an octopus".
That night, something squeezed out from underneath the front door of duel academy and moved down the hall. It then entered the workshop and started looking through the tools.
The next morning, Jaden, Syrus, Moskii and ShiiShii were walking down the hall, when they saw several academy security surrounding the workshop.
"Huh? What's going on?" Asked Jaden. They went inside and saw that several tools were missing.
"Huh", said Syrus. "Wonder what happened he-*slips* AAAAAAHHHH!". Syrus slipped on something and landed on his back.
"You okay?" Asked Jaden.
"Yeah, I'm alright" groaned Syrus.
"Uh, Syrus", said Moskii. "It looks like something's on you". Syrus looked and saw that there was a trail of slime on the floor.
"What's this?" Asked Syrus, feeling disgusted by what he was covered in.
"It looks like slime" answered Jaden. Jaden stared at the trail for a bit before following it.
"Hey, Jaden, wait up!" Called Syrus running after him.
"Where's he going?" Wondered Moskii.
Meanwhile, Bastion, Alexis, Simon and Augustus were looking at the slime trail close to one of the cliffs surrounding the island.
"So, is this slime?" Asked Simon.
"Not exactly", answered Bastion. "This appears to be some kind of epidermis secretion".
"In english, please" said Alexis.
"It's skin mucus" said Bastion.
"Gross" groaned Augustus.
"More specifically", said Bastion. "It's that of an Octopus".
"An Octopus?" Asked Alexis, Augustus and Simon.
"I'm no expert", said Simon. "But, I think an octopus to create THIS much needs to be the size of a-". They heard the sound of screaming and saw Jaden and Syrus sliding towards them.
"Oh crap" said Bastion. They then collided and were sent into the ocean. Soon, their heads came up.
"Everyone alright?" Asked Jaden.
"Ask me that when we get out of here" answered Syrus.
"Look", said Simon. "That slime goes into that cave". Jaden then swan towards it.
"What are you doing?" Asked Alexis.
"Seeing what's going on" answered Jaden.
"Hey, wait up" said Syrus as he and the others followed him. They soon swam into the cave, only to note that it was decorated with lights.
"I think we can safely say that someone's made their home here" said Bastion. They then heard the sound of violins and cellos playing. They snuck closer towards the sound and saw the cave's residence.
It was an adult woman wearing wearing a black cloak. But, they then saw that she had thick, purple tentacles in place of legs. Even though they were looking were looking at her from the back, the mirror in front of her gave them a good view.
She she had purplish blue skin, black and orange eyes with thick, rectangular pupils. He hair was primarily comprised of white tentacles with two long ones on the side of her face that made faded to purple. From what they could tell, all her tentacles had a lavender underside. Their most catching thing was her outfit. She wore a gold-yellow micro sling bikini. She began to sing.
Like all of my kin, I was thought of as a witch. But, since I was a little girl, I only had one wish.
A tiny dream, belonged to me, to be known across the seven seas.
I started small, but my ambitions grew, to be known across the ocean blue.
All my life, I wanted to be, the FIERCEST DUELIST in the deep, blue, sea.
It's a rocky life, with no host in sight, but, I'll never let that stop me.
I've come so far, and I'll be a star, then they will all know me-ah.

"She's got a good voice" said Jaden. Syrus and the others slammed their hands on his mouth.
