Convergence of Realms: A Saiyan's New Dawn
Gohan POV
Universe Six
Xion
He was looking at her.
"I'm not going to attack anyone, so can you put down your weapon?" Gohan asked her.
She looked at him and slowly put her sword away.
"So, tell me, Gohan, how were you able to survive?" Eve asked.
"Yes, I want to know how an organic being was able to survive all this time," Lily added.
"What do you mean?" Gohan asked, confused.
"We're talking about the extinction of organic beings," Lily explained.
"Since the great war, the Naytiba invaded the planet and killed all the humans, half-human and half-Saiyan hybrids, and full-blooded Saiyans. The only survivors were the Saiyans that were genetically engineered."
Adam looked at him, noticing his confusion.
"Eve and Lily, I think it would be better if you two stopped asking questions. He barely just woke up," Adam said.
"Eve, can you go with him and get my equipment? Maybe he will be able to get some memories back if he sees the city," Adam suggested.
She looked at him.
"Gohan, follow me," Eve said.
He started to follow her, and as he saw the strange city, he quickly walked beside her. They walked across a bridge and entered into the city.
Gohan saw multiple people walking in the city, but he couldn't sense their energy. Looking at Eve, he asked, "Where are you going?"
"I'm going to the Sister's Junk," Eve replied.
"It looks like Adam wants me to get his equipment," Eve added. She stopped and looked at Gohan's torn shirt.
"I think you should get some new clothes," she suggested. "But we can go there after getting his equipment," she said when Gohan nodded and followed her.
As they walked, a small teen girl approached them.
"Ah... Angel..." Kaya exclaimed in surprise.
"I can't believe the Angel is here!" Kaya said with a smile, then looked at Gohan.
"Oh… you're the organic being everyone is talking about," Kaya said.
"Organic being?" Gohan responded with an awkward smile.
"Oh… I'm sorry, but what is your name?" Kaya asked.
"My name is Gohan," Gohan said.
"Gohan… what a weird name," Kaya remarked.
"I was just wondering, how would you be able to sustain energy since your body is not able to absorb energy cells?" Kaya inquired.
"Wait… so there are no animals or plants?" Gohan asked.
"I mean, there are a few plants and animals that are not mutated, so it would be difficult to get one," Kaya explained.
"But still possible; you would need to ask Roxanne," she added. Gohan nodded in understanding.
"So Angel, do you need something?" Kaya asked Eve.
"Adam sent me to pick up the new propulsion control board he ordered," Eve said.
"Uh huh, it's ready! I even have a spare one too," Kaya said.
"Good to know," Eve said. "How much is that going to cost?" she asked.
"N-no-no-no! You can just take this," Kaya insisted.
"I heard you've come to help us. Of course, I'll do what I can to help you as well," she added.
"Really? Then… I'll accept it. Thank you," Eve said.
"In return… is there something else I can maybe help you with?" Eve offered.
"Huh?! Oh, n-no, no…" Kaya stammered.
"It's just that you looked like you had something weighing on your mind," Eve observed.
"Did I, now? I guess I can't hide anything from you, Angel," Kaya said.
"Do you want to give me the full story?" Eve asked.
"Alright. One day, I was out working in the Scrap Plains of the Wasteland," Kaya began.
"…when I ran into some Naytibas. I had to ditch my bike and my trunk during the escape. The bike got caught between hunks of metal… I had to leave it behind or I wouldn't have made it out alive," she explained.
"A bike… Can you give me the exact location?" Eve asked. "I do have to go out to the Wasteland. I'll go ahead and find out," she offered.
"Oh… thank you very much," Kaya said.
"I'm just doing my job," Eve replied as she left with Gohan walking beside her.
"Can you tell me what kind of help they need?" Gohan asked Eve.
"I'm helping them by getting back the Hyper Cell," Eve explained. "The Hyper Cell is a very important energy source that is able to maintain the energy for the people living here," she added.
"Plus, the Oracle would have enough energy to find other Alpha Naytibas so I would be able to obtain their core," Eve continued.
"Naytiba?" Gohan asked.
"Do you remember those small monsters that were running down the crater?" Eve inquired.
"Yes," Gohan replied.
"Those things are Naytibas," Eve explained. "But anyway, there is a clothes store nearby. You need some new clothes," she added as they walked toward the clothes store.
Inside the store, Eve was looking around. When she turned around and looked at him, she said, "I think this would fit you," pointing at the men's clothes. Gohan noticed it was a similar style to Adam's.
"Oh…do they have any clothes similar to this one?" Gohan asked.
She looked at him. "No," Eve said. Gohan watched as she paid for the clothes. Another woman showed him to the dressing room, and he walked in to change into his new clothes.
When he walked out of the dressing room, Eve said, "Let's go to the safehouse." Gohan started to follow her, noticing multiple people looking at him as they walked.
At the safehouse, she handed him the equipment. "So, how long is it going to take for the Tetrapod to be fixed?" Eve asked him.
"It would take about a month. For now, I think it would be a good idea if you two go to the request board and accept some quests," Adam said. Eve nodded in agreement.
"Would you be able to go with Gohan to talk with Orcal since he is already awake?" Adam asked.
Lily looked at Gohan. "Gohan! When you come back, can you come with me? I want to check something," Lily said.
"Yes, I don't have any problem answering some questions," Gohan replied.
"Let's go to the Presence Chamber," Eve said, and Gohan started following her.
Ten minutes later
Presence Chamber
He saw two women guarding the entrance. "So, the organic being is awake," Rael said.
She walked toward him. "Hello, my name is Rael," she introduced herself.
"Hello, my name is Gohan," Gohan replied.
"Gohan… it looks like your friend has a weird name," Rael said.
"Why does everyone think my name is weird?" Gohan thought. Rael was looking at him, noticing his muscle tone.
"It looks like you're a strong one," Rael commented.
"But anyway, Orcal is waiting for you two." Suddenly, the door opened automatically, and they walked inside the chamber, where Gohan saw an old man.
"Weird… I can sense his energy, the same as Adam," Gohan thought as he walked toward him and saw a guy beside the old man.
"Welcome," Orcal said. "My name is Orcal."
"Hello, my name is Gohan," Gohan replied.
Orcal looked at him. "Eve already told me about all the events from Eidos Nine," he said. "Can you show me how you were able to create the blast? I want to personally see it."
"Yes…do you have something I can hit?" Gohan asked.
Orcal grabbed a small rock. "Use this," he said, quickly throwing it into the ceiling. Gohan swiftly moved his hand, throwing a small ki blast towards the rock, causing it to disappear.
Eve walked toward him and looked at his palm. "So your body can produce an energy blast," Eve said, surprised.
Orcal observed him. "Interesting," Orcal remarked.
"Adam told me that you don't know anything about the extinction of organic beings. Can you tell me why?" Orcal asked.
"It would be impossible for organic beings to survive this long; you should be dead by now," Orcal said.
"It's kind of complicated," Gohan said.
"What do you mean it's complicated?" Mann asked.
"It's fine… he can tell us when we earn his trust," Orcal said.
"I wanted to come here because I want you to help with Eve's mission of gaining back the Hyper Cell and fighting the Alpha Naytiba," Orcal said. "So, are you willing to help her?" Orcal asked.
"Yes, I'm going to help her," Gohan said, surprising Eve.
"One thing… does this place have any animals or plants that I could eat?" Gohan asked.
"Yes," Orcal replied.
"Roxanne knows some places that have animals and plants that weren't contaminated by the Naytiba, so you should go there."
"Thank you," Gohan said politely.
"No, thank you for being willing to help some strangers," Orcal said.
"Since I don't have any more questions, I think it's a good idea for you two to go to Roxanne," Orcal said. They nodded at him and left the Presence Chamber.
Ten minutes later
Bulletin Board corner
Gohan noticed a woman standing beside the Bulletin Board. When she turned around, she walked toward him.
"I didn't expect Gohan and Eve to come at me," she said with a smirk.
"My name is Roxanne," she introduced herself, her eyes lingering on Gohan.
"How do you know about us?" Gohan asked, a bit puzzled.
"Well, rumors travel fast here," Roxanne replied, her voice smooth and confident.
She moved closer, her gaze never leaving his. "The first organic human in millennia," she remarked, her tone dripping with intrigue.
"So, tell me, handsome, do you need something?" Roxanne asked, her voice taking on a seductive, flirty tone.
Gohan felt a bit embarrassed but managed to respond. "Yes, do you know of any areas where the plants or animals are not contaminated?"
"Hmm… yes, I know a place," Roxanne said, her lips curling into a knowing smile.
"There's a small area in the Wasteland where some Andro-Eidos have been taking care of it since the last war," she explained, her voice softening slightly as she leaned in closer.
"Normally, I would charge for this information," Roxanne said, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "But since you're so handsome, I'll give it to you for free."
She let her fingers lightly brush his arm, her smile growing more playful. "But next time, I'm going to charge you," she added, noticing Eve staring at her.
Roxanne walked toward Eve with a flirty smile. "So precious, do you need something, or are you looking for some information?" she asked in a sultry tone.
Eve looked at her curiously. "What kind of information do you have?"
Roxanne leaned in slightly, her voice dripping with charm. "I have all the information you need, my sweetheart."
"If you have any problems, you can come here and ask me," Roxanne continued, her tone soft yet inviting. "I'm available in the mornings."
"Good… I'll come back later," Eve said, feeling slightly flustered by Roxanne's demeanor.
"Goodbye, sweetheart and handsome ," Roxanne purred as she sat down on her chair, her eyes lingering on Eve before she glanced at her device.
Eve turned to look at the bulletin board as Gohan walked beside her. "What kind of quests do they have?" Eve wondered aloud.
Gohan scanned the board with her. "Do you mind if I help you complete these requests?" he asked.
"It's okay, you can help me," Eve replied, and they started reading the requests together.
Gohan read the first request. "Simple puzzle," he said.
"Oh, I'm so bored! Won't someone please play with me? What shall we play? How about this? I'll give you an easy puzzle, and you try to solve it! If you enter the correct answer into the input device installed at the elevator leading to the Presence Chamber, I'll give you a prize! No wild guesses, okay?" Gohan read out loud, then looked at the clues:
"4@7@8 = 285684
9@3@5 = 271542
6@2@7 = 121426
5@6@7 = ?" he finished.
He moved on to the second request. "Sleeping beauty," Gohan read.
"Hello, I've been told that someone might pick up my request if I posted it here. It's been over three years since my beloved wife went into the Cradle. Is she still sleeping peacefully? I would like to check it out for myself, but I can't get close to the Cradle for… reasons. You don't need to know to do this job, right? Would you check on my wife's condition for me? I'll send you her name. I hope she's doing okay…" Gohan read.
He saw the third request. "Missing husband," Gohan read.
"My husband is an engineer who did maintenance on the Cradle. He suddenly quit his job without saying anything. There's not much time left in his Body Cell, so I tried to be understanding, but he refused to enter the Cradle until the very end. He never told me why. My husband hasn't come home for several days. I looked everywhere but couldn't find him. I need to find him before his Body Cell runs out. He can't have left Xion. If you know anything about my husband Matthew's whereabouts, please leave me a message," Gohan read.
He saw the fourth request. "Find the cat," Gohan read.
"Isn't it interesting that cats still exist in this wreckage of a world? Everyone thinks I'm lying, but I'm not! A cute cat as black as the night was wandering around Barry's shop. But it looked tired, sick, and scared. I want to find that black cat and take care of it. Please help me find out where it is," Gohan read.
"Let's accept them all, but let's look for the cat first," Gohan suggested.
"Yes, tomorrow we can do the other requests," Eve agreed as they started looking for the cat.
One hour later, Gohan was looking around when he stopped and saw something. He quickly ran over and saw a black cat lying on the floor. He slowly touched it and felt that it was cold.
Eve walked beside him. "The cat passed away," Eve said.
"Yes," Gohan replied.
"Let's report back," Eve suggested.
"So, are we going to leave the cat here?" Gohan asked her.
She was a bit confused. "Yes," Eve replied.
"I thought the owner could bury the cat," Gohan said.
"Bury?" Eve asked.
"You've never buried someone before?" Gohan asked her.
"No… normally, when someone dies on the battlefield and we have the chance, we just retrieve the memory core so their memory wouldn't be lost," Eve explained.
"Oh," Gohan said. He then saw a small box, grabbed it, and placed the lifeless body of the cat inside.
"I want to return this to the owner," Gohan said as she started following him toward the Bulletin Board.
Thirty minutes later, Roxanne was looking at him while holding the box. "I'm going to give this to the owner," Roxanne said as she handed Gohan a bag of money.
"Here is your reward," Roxanne said. "I'm going to go so I can give this box to the owner."
"Goodbye, sweetheart and handsome," Roxanne said.
"Goodbye," Gohan replied as he watched her leave. Eve walked beside him.
"Let's go to the safe house," Eve suggested. Gohan nodded, and they started walking toward the safe house.
Safehouse
In the safe house, Gohan saw Lily, who quickly ran toward him and grabbed his arm. He followed her and sat down in a chair.
"So, Gohan, let me run some tests," Lily said as she handed him a device. "Can you grasp it and use all your strength? I want to see how strong you are."
Gohan started to press the device when suddenly it shattered into little pieces. Eve was surprised as she sat down, looking at him.
"Wow… you have a strong grip," Lily said. "I wish we were in the colony so I could actually test your strength."
"In the colony, we have a ton of advanced holograms that can test your fighting skills and strength," Lily explained. "Since we're here, we don't have any of that," she said as she wrote on her device.
"I was curious about something… you guys don't bury anyone?" Gohan asked her.
"No… since our bodies don't decay, it would be wasteful. Plus, the only important thing is our memory core," Lily said.
"Not even your parents?" Gohan asked.
"Oh… I mean, Eve and the other angels don't have any parents," Lily explained, noticing his confusion.
"You don't know?" Lily said. "Well, normally, when Andro-Eidos fall in love, they go to the reproduction chamber."
"They combine their DNA to create an offspring, and after that, the chamber uses technology to engineer cybernetic enhancements so our bodies can absorb cellular energy," Lily continued.
"We live longer, and our bodies can repair any injuries," Lily said.
"The angels are created using the highest and strongest DNA," Lily added. "That's why we don't have any parents."
"I wonder how high you can jump," Lily said.
Gohan jumped.
"A bit higher," Lily encouraged as she continued to test him.
One hour later, she stopped. "I only need the lab results to complete my full analysis," Lily said as she sat down.
"So, tell me something about organic beings since all the history was destroyed during the Great War," Lily requested. Gohan was about to say something when his stomach started to growl.
Eve looked at him. "Something wrong?" Eve asked.
"No… I'm just hungry," Gohan replied.
"Wait… your stomach makes noise when you're hungry? That's so strange," Lily remarked.
Adam was watching him. "If you're hungry, there's a small lake nearby where you can find some food," Adam said.
"So, where is this lake?" Gohan asked. Adam grabbed his map and marked the location with a circle.
"I'm going to go," Gohan said.
"Goodbye," Gohan said as Eve was about to follow him, but Adam raised his hand, signaling her to stop. She let Gohan leave as he started to follow the map.
Eve POV
She saw that he was already gone, then she sat down, looking at Adam. "Okay, Adam, I can tell you want to talk about something important," Eve said.
"Yes, I wanted to know if he plans to help you get the Hyper Cell and fight against the Alpha Naytiba," Adam said.
"Yes, he told me that he would help me," Eve replied.
"So, tell me, what is your opinion of him?" Adam asked her.
"Based on what we saw, I think he is strong, but I feel like he was still holding back since he wasn't in his best condition," Eve said. "He seems nice, but I can tell he grew up in another world. I mean, everything he saw was confusing or alien to him."
"What about you?" Adam asked Lily.
"I have a similar opinion as hers," Lily said.
"Based on his appearance, he looks like a hybrid of a human and a Saiyan, but I'd rather wait for the lab results to have official information." Lily says.
"The last record of organic beings was from a millennium ago, so it would be impossible for him to be a descendant since the last organic beings didn't have any offspring." Lily
"Even if the last organic beings had offspring, they would have had a difficult time surviving with the minimal food on this planet." Lily says
"Do you think the Mother Sphere would be interested in him?" Adam asked.
"It depends. If he proves that his DNA has special qualities, she would likely send a squad to collect him and his DNA to create a stronger Angel," Lily said.
"I think we need to keep an eye on him so we can learn more about him and his abilities," Eve said.
"Okay, I just wanted to hear your opinions of him. If you two want, you can relax or take on some requests," Adam said.
"It will take one month to fix the Tetradrop." He walked into the Tetradrop while Lily was holding the drone.
"Tachy… I wonder what your opinion of him would be if you were still alive," Eve said as she watched Lily working on the drone.
Gohan POV
In the city, Gohan was looking at the map when he felt someone poke his back. He turned around and saw Kaya.
"Hi, Kaya," Gohan said.
"Hi… are you lost?" Kaya asked him.
"Yes, I was trying to find this lake," Gohan showed her the map.
"Oh, it's near here. Let me show you," Kaya said, and he started to follow her.
Ten minutes later, they arrived at the lake. It was small, and Gohan turned around to look at her.
"Thank you for showing me the way," Gohan said.
"You're welcome," Kaya replied as she saw him walk near the lake.
"What are you doing?" Kaya asked him.
"I'm just fishing," Gohan said. "So, tell me, are the fish here contaminated?"
"No… normally, if the fish were contaminated, we would kill them before they turn into a Naytiba," Kaya explained as she walked onto a stone and started to watch over him.
Gohan was able to catch six fish without any problems.
"Are you planning to eat them?" Kaya asked.
"Yes," Gohan replied. "Kaya, do you have a knife?"
She nodded and handed him the knife. After cleaning the fish, Gohan gathered some dry wood and stones, arranging them into a makeshift fire pit. He struck a piece of flint against his sword, sparking a small fire that quickly grew into a steady flame.
Satisfied, he placed a flat stone over the fire, creating a natural grill. Gohan skewered the fish with some sticks he had whittled down and positioned them over the stone. The fish began to sizzle as they cooked, filling the air with a delicious aroma.
As the fish roasted, Gohan turned them carefully, making sure they cooked evenly. The golden-brown skin began to crisp, and he could see the juices bubbling.
Once the fish were done, Gohan asked, "Kaya… I know the Andro-Eidos use cellular energy to maintain their energy, so are you able to eat?"
"Yes, but we normally just use the cellular energy since it's faster," Kaya said.
"You can have some," Gohan offered, handing her a fish. She took it and slowly took a bite, looking surprised.
"Wow… it's good," Kaya said.
"Glad you like it," Gohan replied, patting her head and messing up her hair a bit.
She smiled at him. "You remind me of my older sister," Kaya said.
"Older sister?" Gohan asked.
"Yes… she always brought me here for picnics," Kaya said.
"So, where is your older sister?" Gohan asked her.
"I don't know… the last time I saw her was in the desert. So, she's probably lost or dead… but I still have hope that she's alive," Kaya said with a smile, taking another bite of the fish.
"Don't worry, I know you'll see her again," Gohan said, patting her head again. She nodded at him, and he continued to eat his food.
One hour later, he saw that she was already walking back home. As she turned around, Kaya said, "Goodbye."
"Goodbye," Gohan replied as he walked back into the safe house. Suddenly, he started to hear something in his head.
He ignored it and continued walking into the safe house. Just as he was about to speak, he heard his father's voice.
"Gohan!" Goku said. Eve and the others looked around, having heard the voice as well.
"Gohan! I'm using Shenron to communicate with you. Can you hear me?" Goku asked.
"Yes, Dad! I can hear you," Gohan replied as Lily quickly ran toward him.
"What is going on? Why can I hear someone's voice?" Lily asked.
"I'll explain later," Gohan said.
"Son, are you okay?" Goku asked him.
"I'm okay… Eve and her friends found me when I arrived here," Gohan said.
"Son, I have some bad news. It looks like Shenron doesn't have enough power to transport you back to our universe," Goku said. "So, tell me, how is the world treating you?"
"Right now, I'm doing okay, but it's difficult since there is limited food on this planet," Gohan said.
"Gohan, who is the man?" Eve asked.
"He's my dad," Gohan replied.
"Hi, my name is Goku," Goku said.
"Hello, my name is Eve," Eve said.
"Hi, my name is Lily," Lily said.
Adam was looking at him. "Hello, sir. My name is Adam," Adam said.
"Gohan! It's me, Bulma! Your dad already told me about your problems, so I'm planning to make a capsule with all the resources you would need," Bulma said.
He saw that Lily was looking at him. "Bulma… can you do me a favor and put all the history, technology, books, and other interesting things from our world in the capsule? It looks like Lily has some interest," Gohan said.
"Yes, I'm going to do that," Bulma said.
"It's going to be ready in one month, so we'll use Shenron again to transport the capsule," Bulma said. She was about to say something else when someone pushed her away.
"Son! Are you okay?" Chichi asked.
"Yes, I'm okay," Gohan replied.
"Shenron! Can you at least use your power so we can see each other?" Chichi asked, complaining towards Shenron. Suddenly, a light appeared, and a screen materialized. Adam stepped back, seeing the screen and the group of organic beings on it.
"Eve! There are a bunch of organic beings there!" Lily said.
Chichi saw the woman beside him. "Gohan! Who is that hussy?" Chichi asked, causing Gohan to quickly get embarrassed.
"Hussy?" Eve asked, confused.
"Mom… don't embarrass me," Gohan said.
Vegeta was looking at them. "So, you met another human?" Vegeta asked.
"They're not human," Gohan said.
"They're Andro-Eidos, basically Saiyans with engineered cybernetic enhancements, similar to Android Eighteen," Gohan explained as Vegeta was about to say something, but Bulma pushed him aside.
"Gohan, it looks like Shenron doesn't have enough energy, so I'm going to find a way to bring you back home. Goodbye," Bulma said. Suddenly, the screen disappeared.
Eve looked at him. "Okay, I'm going to explain everything. For now, sit down because it's going to be a long story," Gohan said as they sat down.
Two hours later, Eve was looking at him. "Dragonballs," Eve said.
Lily quickly ran up to him. "I wonder if we have those abilities," Lily said.
"I don't know… Mother Sphere didn't know about this," Eve replied.
She was still looking at him. "If everything is true, I think the Mother Sphere would be interested in getting some of your DNA," Lily said.
Adam was watching them. "We have a long day ahead, so why don't we rest? You can ask him all your questions tomorrow," Adam suggested.
"I can show you where you can sleep," Adam offered as they started following him into the house.
"Eve and Lily can share a room, and Gohan can use the other room," Adam said.
"I'm going to sleep," Adam said as he walked into his room.
"Goodnight," Eve and Lily said.
"Goodnight," Gohan replied. He walked into his bedroom and over to the window, gazing at the moon.
"I wonder what is going to happen next," Gohan thought as he lay down in bed and fell asleep.
