"Ready for your shoot, Zoe?" Russell asked while the dog strut out of the changing room.

"Of course, Darling. Oh, I wish you could model with me today, Russell."

"Well, maybe some other time." The hedgehog chuckled as he got a good look of Zoe as she talked. The spaniel wasn't wearing Blythe Style issued clothes, but she could work anything. The analytical hedgehog watched her for anything misplaced. Until… There. He pinpointed the strand out of place, and he narrowed his eyes. He reached for the hair and brushed it down.

Zoe stopped mid sentence and watched the hedgehog's concentrated expression. The dog always found it oddly endearing when he stuck his tongue out and raised his eyebrow as he thought. Zoe found herself gazing into forest green eyes. Beautiful… green… Zoe snapped out when Russell smiled.

"There, perfect for your shoot." Russell realized how close they were, and he immediately jumped away. As he fake coughed in his fist, Russell's quills bristled.

Zoe stared at the ground; as she cleared her throat, but it felt dry as ever as she whispered. "Thank you, Russell."

Russell straightened his back and finally looked at the dog with an awkward smile. "It was nothing; just a quick fix."
