Zoe groaned as her fur felt heavy and damp. "Ugh, can someone please turn the temperature down! Is it hot in here or is it just me?"
"It's you."
Zoe perked up and looked in the direction of the voice. She only saw Russell in the corner of the day camp reading his book. Or so she thought.
The hedgehog in question stopped his reading, thinking desperately to save his hide. She didn't hear that right? Of course she did- dogs hear everything. He bit his bottom lip and closed his eyes as he continued to hide behind his book.
"What was that?" Zoe asked innocently.
"I, uh, said it's not just you."
"Hm Mm." Zoe smirks before teasing. "Well, at least someone appreciates my natural beauty."
Russel's quills bristled, and his fur heated up- which he's sure wasn't from the temperature.
