Rapunzel ran back over to Eugene. "Rapunzel!" Eugene said. "What's wrong?"

"Can we talk?" Rapunzel replied.

"Yeah, sure," Eugene said, following Rapunzel, pulling his hand along, to her room. They sat on the windowsill. "I talked to dad," Rapunzel said, wiping away her tears. "He-he won't change his mind."

"Blondie, I'm sorry," Eugene said. "I didn't want you to get involved."

"No, Eugene," Rapunzel said. "I want to get involved. I don't want you to hurt yourself out there."

"Blondie, please," Eugene said, smiling. "I'm sure I can handle myself." Rapunzel looked up at Eugene, sadness and irritation in her gaze. Eugene cleared his throat. "Continue," he said.

"Dad doesn't trust you," Rapunzel said.

"Yeah, I kind of got that," Eugene said.

"He doesn't want to listen to reason."

"Rapunzel, look, it's okay," Eugene said, putting a hand on her cheek and wiping away a tear. "I really don't mind."

"But I do," Rapunzel said. "I don't want you to do this."

"I get it, but it's either I do this, or your old man kills me," Eugene said. "And, personally, I'd rather not be killed. It gives me more time to be with you, Rapunzel."

Rapunzel smiled at him. "Eugene...how about we run away?"

"What?" he asked.

"We can run away from here," Rapunzel said, a little too eager. "We can live somewhere else, maybe in another kingdom. You don't have to worry about the rules from my dad, and we can be together."

"Blondie, don't be so rash," Eugene said.

"But, Eugene! We can be together without having to worry about anything!"

"But what about your parents, Blondie?" Eugene asked, grabbing one of Rapunzel's hands in both of his. "You'll miss them."

"Yeah, but it'll be okay!" Rapunzel tried.

"Blondie, listen to yourself right now," Eugene said seriously. "This isn't like you."

Rapunzel sighed, defeated. "I know. I'm sorry." She started crying again. "I just don't want you to die again."

"Blondie, it's okay, really." Eugene pulled her in for a hug. Rapunzel cried on his chest but she calmed down.

Eventually, they both went outside, in front of the palace gates, with the captain and Max. Outside, the king and queen were already waiting. "Frederic," Queen Ariana whispered, "please reconsider what you're doing. Rapunzel is right. This is a suicide mission."

"I'm aware dear," King Frederic said, sternly.

"I have come to a decision," King Frederic said, "after much consideration-"

There came a crash from behind them, causing Eugene and Rapunzel to turn around at the impact. "What was that?" Rapunzel asked. There came a puff of smoke at the impact of the crash. "Rapunzel, stay behind me," Eugene whispered.

Eugene prepared his stance to fight whoever made a mess in Corona, in front of the royal family, and himself.

A figure emerged from the smoke. Standing in front of Eugene is the Weasel. "Ah, Weasel," Eugene said, smiling. "I thought I'd got you with that fish?"

"That fish was nothing, Ryder!" Weasel yelled. "I want you to do something for me."
