Eugene sighed of relief as he dropped the captain's sword on the ground and gripped his arm. "Eugene!" Rapunzel cried.

"Blondie!" Eugene cheered. Rapunzel threw herself at Eugene. He fell, being tired from the fight with Stalyan, and she landed on top of him. "Are you okay?" she asked.

"A little tired, and banged up, and I still have that killer headache, but I'm okay," Eugene replied. "How about you?"

"I'm fine," Rapunzel said. "Who was that?"

"She doesn't like me either," Eugene replied simply.

"No one likes you, do they?" Rapunzel teased.

"Not really," Eugene laughed. "Part of my reputation I guess!"

"Ryder!" the captain yelled. Rapunzel got off of Eugene and helped him up. "You brought a dangerous enemy into Corona, and-"

"Let me handle this," King Frederic said.

"Your Highness," Eugene said. "I'm sorry, I-I didn't know that-"

"Enough, Ryder," King Frederic said, raising his hand. Eugene bowed his head and gripped his arm again. "I was going to send you on that mission with Maximus and Captain," King Frederic said with a serious tone, "however, thanks to your bravery and fighting instincts, and your love for my daughter, I can see you really have changed, and mean no more harm to Corona."

Eugene looked up at the King. "You really mean...?"

"Yes, I do," king Frederic said. "Your death sentence has been removed." Eugene smiled. "T-thank you, Your Highness!"

"I'm not done," King Frederic said. "I thank you for your bravery in protecting my family. Because of it, your death sentence has not only been removed, but completely forgotten. I will give you mercy. And, I will grant you a new room in the palace, one closer to my daughter's room, however, I expect you to behave yourself, living inside the palace with my family."

Eugene bowed. "Yes, sir!"

"But, Your Highness-" the captain said. King Frederic raised his hand. "You have been forgiven and given my trust...Eugene. I thank you." King Frederic bowed.

Queen Ariana gasped a little and covered her mouth, tears building in her eyes. Rapunzel gasped, then smiled. Eugene stood, shocked. Max whinnied, and the captain gasped.

Eugene smiled and bowed. "Thank you, Your Majesty." They kept their position for a little before standing back up. "I expect you to take good care of Rapunzel, Eugene."

"I will, sir," Eugene said, smiling.

King Frederic nodded, and entered the palace again. Rapunzel ran to Eugene. "Eugene! You did it! You don't have to leave!"

"And it's all thanks to you, Blondie," Eugene said, smiling.

Sorry for the short chapter! Anyways, that last chapter wasn't supposed to happen. I was going to have Eugene set out on his mission, and pass by Stalyan on the way, who would then take him to the Baron and they would have a fight of some sort over Baron's stuff Lance stole and donated to charity, Weasel would get angry and try to kill him, Stalyan would get upset with him and save Eugene, and then try to marry him, but I cut it out and put a jealous Stalyan in instead. Plus, it kind of reminded me of that one episode I can't remember the name of when Eugene saved Lance from the Kai Spider. But I digress. I have a lot of fun writing Eugene; he has so much personality and sarcasm, that it makes him a fun character to write! Thank you for reading and all the support you give!
