Birds chirped peacefully as the sky turned from a beautiful orangish-pink to a gorgeous bright blue. Crisp autumn wind was flying throughout the town. It was a very nice 59° Fahrenheit in the town of Hometown.

Kris Dreemurr was still peacefully asleep in bed. Light was beaming through the blinds, almost asking them to get up. However, their mother beat it to the punch.

"Kris honey, it's time to get up for school, you can't sleep forever!" Toriel spoke, in her usual soft and caring tone.

Toriel closed the door to a sliver and walked away. Kris waited until their mother's footsteps faded to finally get up out of bed. As they sat on the edge of the bed, Thoughts began to race through their head.

Today is going to be fucking horrible ugh. I don't want to get up, I don't want to go to class, I don't want to see HER

Despite all this, they still got up and began to get ready. It was the usual morning stuff, get changed, brush teeth, and so on. They normally didn't eat breakfast, which at least helped save some time. After finishing, Kris walked down the stairs, and through the kitchen to the front door. Their mother was waiting on the other side, eager to head off to school.

"Kris! Just in time! I think we'll still make it!"

The two hopped in the red vehicle and sped off, bound for school. They passed many great landmarks along the way, such as the shop, and the other shop. Finally, after about fifteen seconds, they arrived at a brown brick building, "SCHOOL" was labeled on the front. Toriel parked the car in the singular parking space and they both got out. Toriel grabbed her child's hand, as always, and they entered through the two grand double doors. After about 10 steps in, Toriel stopped and gave Kris a big hug, again, as always. The two parted ways, and Kris finally arrived at Mrs. Alphys' classroom.

The class was almost full, seven students were at their desks, surely eager to learn. Besides the students, the classroom was incredibly dull. The walls were brown, the desks were brown, and the walls were an unappealing off-lime color. The building itself was just really old, and it's age surely showed. The floors creaked loudly as Kris walked to their desk, feeling like they could give in at any moment. When they arrived, there was simply nothing to do but wait for class to begin. Luckily, since they got here right on time, the waiting was over within a minute.

"Alright class, let's settle down please. Today we will be starting a new project! However, unlike the other projects we have done this year, this project is strictly a SOLO project, no working together. I will now pass out the guidelines for this project." Mrs. Alphys announced to the class, while beginning to hand out the papers.

Ugh, another project, like I don't have enough going on already.

Before Alphys could even make it to the third desk, the door slammed open.

*SLAM!*

A purple reptilian monster stood in the doorframe.

Susie…

Without speaking a word she began to walk to her desk, as if it didn't matter that she was late.

"O-oh um Susie, you're late.

..again"

"Yeah, I guess I am." She replied, with absolutely no change in her expression.

"Well u-um just take your seat okay, I'm handing out the new project guidelines"

"Hm"

With that, Susie did in fact take a seat, and instantly put her head down. Alphys finished passing out the rest of the papers and scurried back to her desk.

"Alright class, I guess umm, get started." She said, with little power behind her voice.

Ughhh

After hours of that stupid project and a few lectures the school day was finally over. While everyone else was already filing out, Kris was still sluggishly putting their stuff away in their bag.

"Hey." Susie bluntly spoke, putting a hand on Kris' shoulder. It was now just the two of them in the classroom.

"..."

"What? You don't like talking to me?"

"..."

"You know, you're gonna have to give me your project whether you speak or not."

"No" They replied, very soft yet firm.

"What?" She laughed

"I'm not giving you m-" They were interrupted by Susie picking them up and-

*SLAM!*

Susie had them pinned to the wall.

"LISTEN here. You do what the FUCK I tell you to. You have been for months, you're not stopping now." She yelled.

A small tear began to run down the human's cheek. They didn't want to show it, but that slam actually hurt a lot, like a lot a lot.

"So GIVE me your paper before I PUNCH the SHIT out of you."

With no real other choice, they nodded, signaling defeat. They sheepishly ruffled through their bag until pulling out an actually pretty well done research paper. It didn't last long in their hands before the dragon snatched it away.

"Heh."

*POW!*

Susie sucker punched the absolute shit out of Kris. Their body slid across the decrepit floor like a puck across ice. When they stopped gliding, they simply fell over, out cold.

"Don't say no to me, EVER." Susie stated, before triumphantly walking out of the classroom.

The sun was setting even more now, Light was pouring in from outside. Kris awoke in agonizing pain, suddenly remembering what led up to this. Most of the left side of their face was bruised badly, and blood had been pouring from their mouth. Tears began to come as fast as blinks. A pain filled groan escaped their mouth.

"Ughhhhghghgghhgg"

This was quite possibly the worst physical condition they had ever been in. The only contender being when they fell 15 feet out of tree onto a root. That was terrible, but this was even worse. Their body felt like giving up right here and now. Their face was throbbing with pain. It felt heavy. Everything felt awful. Agony soared throughout their body.

They used what little force they could muster to check their phone for any possibility of good news.

Mom: 4 Missed Calls

The opposite was true.

Kris hurriedly unlocked the device and dialed his mother, mispressing buttons in an attempt to press them as fast as possible. After only one ring, Toriel picked up.

"Kris? Kris where have you been? I've been worried sick!" She spoke with more relief than anger.

"S-sorry, I fell asleep at school." They spoke with great difficulty, both from the busted mouth and falling tears.

"Again? How many times are you going to let this happen?

"I'm s-sorry mom"

"It's alright honey, I'm just glad you're okay. Be home in 5 minutes, okay?"

O-okay mom, l-love you"

"I love you too Kris"

Kris began to cry even harder.
