Third person POV

Izuku did not have an easy life. When he was first diagnosed as quirkless his parents began to forget him more and more throughout the years, he wouldn't even be surprised if they thought his sister was an only child.

But away from them. Izuku knew that as soon as he started cooking for himself and others is when you truly become an adult, it was the last thing his "Mother" taught him before forgetting his existence.

But who was he cooking for? You may ask. Well around when he was 10 he found a cat made of black whisps in the alleyway looking for scraps. Finding a kinship with the abandoned animal he decided to take him in, soon naming him Maxi.

Izuku is 15 now and was currently at his last day of middle school with the teacher walking in. The class grew silent until.. "Alright class you're all in your third year so you gotta start thinking about your future." He then threw all the papers into the air. "But who am I kidding? I know you all wanna go to the hero track!" And with that the class erupted in cheers. "Yes, yes you all have amazing quirks but you know no quirk usage in school." He lightly reprimanded.

"Yo teach! Don't go lumping me and Izumi with these extras! They'd be lucky to end up being a sidekick to some d-lister!" Spoke an ash blonde haired boy named Bakugo Katsuki from his desk. The students obviously were outraged at the boys remark while he yelled back about his superiority.

"Ah Gai you wanna go to U.A right? Well I'm sure you'll do great." The teacher said with a smile "Thank you." Izuku replied, you see with his "parents" forgetting about his existences he had to make his own registration to the school and he decided that he'd change his name. "Wow Gai's going to U.A? So cool!" A student said "I hope you get in!" Said another.

Bakugo however wasn't as excited to the news. "Huh!? You think you're better then me ya' damn giant!?!!" Bakugo yelled while walking to Izuku's desk. "Hey you leave Gai alone, he's way better then you!" Exclaimed a student. "What was that?!" Bakugo yelled back with just as much anger. "Yeah Gai is the nicest person I know! One time I saw him help a pregnant lady to the hospital!" Added another. "Alright class settle down! And Bakugo get back to your desk." called out the teacher.

My first time skip! So exciting! (I will now be referring to Izuku as Gai)

Gai's POV

I was walking down a bridge to get home when I heard a weird voice "Ah an extra large meat shield perfect!" I turned around to see a large green sludge monster jumping at me. Of course I couldn't have that so I jump out of the way immediately. "Quit moving around!" The monster yelled as his movements became more frantic. Soon enough a loud. "Fear not for I am here!" Was heard and All Might appeared! Punching the sludge into bits before walking up to me. "Thank you for stalling him out for me sir!" All Might said with a hearty laugh.

"It's no problem but would you sign this for me?" I asked taking out a notebook full of signatures. "Of course Iwill! For your kid eh?" Asked All Might while going through the book. "Uh.. sure." I reply weakly realizing he must have mistaken me for an older man.

'How did he get all these signatures?.. is that Endeavor!?! I didn't even know he did signatures!' All Might thought to himself before finally finding a spot to write in. "Well thank you again for your help sir." All Might said before taking the trapped villain and jumping off.

Another time skip wooooo~

Before I walked up to my home I saw Izumi talking to All Might and decided to listen. "Woah! All Might it's you!" Izumi exclaimed. "Yes it is I! All Might! But you may know me more as-" All Might then puffed into smoke revealing..

"Dad!?!?" Izumi shouted while I stood out of view in stunned silence, the No. 1 hero was our farther?! "Yes it's me! Your farther!" Toshinori revealed with his signature bony face and wide smile. "But I'm not just here to reveal my secret identity to you. No, no I'm here to offer my power to you." Toshinori said in a more serious tone.

"What? A quirk can be passed down? What are the implications of that?" I thought but apparently Izumi didn't have the same thought process and immediately accepted. "Wait what about Izuku?" Izumi asked. "Who? Oh Izuku doesn't show any qualities of being a hero." Toshinori finished simply.

Alright that's it I'm done. That asshole didn't even look in my direction most of my life and he has the nerve to say I don't have the qualities of a hero?! Well screw you! I don't need this! I have enough money from some of my part time jobs to get an apartment and have you out of my life so see ya'! Me and Maxi are out!

Ooooooooh~ what's this? Another time skip!? Hell yeah!

Inko's POV

I was going around the house to find dirty clothes while Izumi and my husband just got home and were talking about something but I wasn't focused on that because I found something odd... it was someone's shirt but that wasn't what was odd about it, it was the fact that I didn't know who it belongs to. It was way to big for Izumi and Toshi doesn't wear turtleneck sweaters, so I looked at the tag and it said "Izuku." Izuku? Who's Izuku? Then it hit me like truck. "Izuku!"

I then ran across the house trying to look for any picture books that had Izuku in them, alerting my husband and daughter in the process. "What's wrong honey?" Toshinori asked worriedly but I ignored him until I found our oldest picture book with mostly baby photos, I looked and looked until I found a photo that broke me down to tears, it was a picture of a newly born Izumi and a absolutely starstruck young Izuku looking at her. "Mom are you okay!?" Asked Izumi. "I'm a terrible mother." I sniffed quietly still looking at the picture.

"What!? No, no you're not. Izumi's had a great and healthy life!" Toshinori said reassuringly. "But Izuku! Has Izuku had one?" I cried harder. "What? Of course he has he..." Toshinori stopped and tried to remember a time when he spent time with his son only to realize that he couldn't remember any! "Let's... let's go talk to him right now! Maybe.. maybe we can try to ask for his forgiveness!" Toshinori finished with all of them agreeing and going up to his room.

Third person POV

Toshinori walked up to Izuku's bedroom door slowly and hesitantly knocked. "Hey uh.. son? We err.. Could you came out for a bit please? We'd like to talk to you.." Toshinori said slowly noting that the word "son" felt unusual to say and it only made him feel worse... he didn't get an answer so he knocked again wondering if he was listening to something with headphones on, he then wondered what kind of music he listened to, does he have a favorite genre? A favorite band? Does he listen to podcasts? If so does he like to listen to a specific one? All these thoughts made him realize how little he knows about his son and how much that fact hurts.

He was about knock a third time before he realized the door was open so he opened it fully revealing...

a very cozy looking room. He looked to the right corner of the room and found a relatively large bed with what looked to be a homemade knitted blanket and puffy comforters. Next to the bed was a desk with a small lamp and an empty box of cinnamon buns? Okay so he likes sweets. To the left was a... cat bowl? He has a cat okay...

how did he not notice a cat in his house?? He walked up to Izuku's dresser and found turtleneck sweaters, button up shirts and dress pants, a very stylish fusion between professional and casual in Toshinori's option. he also saw what looked like a construction company vest, so he works for construction, he then looked down and found dumbells next to the dresser so he works out too..

at least he's working off those sweets. Okay time to see what they have. "So we know he knits, he likes sweets, has a cat, and works in construction." Toshinori finished. "How does that help us?" Asked Izumi. "It doesn't but it might help a good friend of mine." Toshinori replied.

Toshinori's POV

I silently listened to rings of the phone waiting for my old friend Tsukauchi to pick up until.."Hello detective Tsukauchi here can I help you?" Tsukauchi asked. "Ah yes Tsukauchi it's me Toshinori, I need some help finding my son." I replied immediately. "Toshi? I'll be right on it, I'llget some help too don't worry." Tsukauchi said quickly rushing out. "Ah actually-" I began. "It's fine Toshi we'll find him as fast as we can." Tsukauchi continued ending the call before i had the chance to finish. That... could have gone better. I'll have to wait for them to arrive.

A mini time skip?! Amazing!

I opened my door to see detective Tsukauchi with an short old man in a golden age hero costume and a woman in a white business suit... I'm screwed.

"Hey Toshi, I got here as fast as I could. I even brought Gran Torino and Miss Nighteye to help!" Tsukauchi informed me. "Now we need some information to help find him." Tsukauchi said more professionally. "Ah well he likes to knit, he likes sweets, has a pet cat and he works at 'Uraraka construction'." I answered quickly avoiding eye contact with the two people behind Tsukauchi as he nods his head and quietly writes down all the information.

"Okay now we need a description, what does he look like?" Tsukauchi asked maintaining his professionalism. "I.. don't know..."

"Huh?" Tsukauchi asked looking up from his notepad and breaking his serious professionalism, however someone wasn't nearly as baffled. "You wanna repeat that boy?" Gran Torino demanded seriously. "I have no idea what he looks like..." I replied weakly.

*crack!*

"Agh!" Only to feel a wooden cane stomp into my foot. I grabbed ahold of my foot before the wooden cane smacked the shin of my other leg effectively knocking me to my knees.

"Nana... she would be so disappointed in you." I looked up to see Gran Torino crying silently while Tsukauchi looked disheartened and Nighteye was pointedly looking away. "I.. I know..." I replied crying myself.

With Gai

I just finished getting my apartment situation settled (I even got a discount on rent for helping the landlord's wife get to the hospital when she was pregnant!) All I need to do is get my stuff from my "parents" house and I can go!

KING CRIMSON!

I walked up to the Yagi's house to grab my stuff. I walk in to see everyone looking at me which is weird because I don't think anyone's ever looked at me for this long in my life.. oh wow that's depressing. "Uh.. hello?" I said to the quiet room sounding more like a question then a greeting.

To be continued.
