Location: U.A grounds, break room.
"You've become the 10th user of One for All.." It took awhile for that to sink in. "Y-you gotta be joking right?" Gai said even though he knew they weren't. "I am not." Toshinori said. "When Izumi gave you her blood she also gave you One for All..."
"But I never accepted it, I didn't even know I had it! So how!?" He was panicking now. "That's not how it works Izuku."
"One for All cannot be forcefully taken away, but it can be forcefully given." Toshinori explained, Gai was starting to get frustrated. "Look Izuku-"
"Do not call me that Toshinori!" Gai snapped much to the surprise of the Yagi family. "I... I'm sorry it's just.. why..? Izumi why did you do this...?"
"I didn't think I was worthy-"
"So you dumped your responsibilities on me!?" Gai snapped again causing Izumi to flinch. "I just wanted to be become the first quirkless hero! I trained my entire life, got into the greatest hero school of Japan, I even savedsome lives at the USJ! Is this how you stop me from my dream? Not by telling me to give up but by forcing a quirk into me!?" Izumi started tearing up. "Now Izuku listen-"
"No Toshinori, you listen to me! I am my own person! I'm not some copy, some clone, I'm me! Not Yagi Izuku, but Mirai Gai! I'm not someone who loses fate as soon as they're diagnosed as quirkless! I'm not so weak willed that I give up on my child because they share my genes! Do you understand Yagi Toshinori!? I. Am. Not. You."Gai was panting, he still hasn't healed fully and it's taking a toll on his lungs.
"You... you don't get to push your ideals onto me." He points to Izumi. "Your responsibilities." He pointed to Inko. "Your-" Gai began coughing uncontrollably, his hand resting on his side. "Izuku-"
"Back off Toshinori!" Gai shouted before coughing again. "I... I'm not going to use it.." Gai said much quieter. "Huh?"
"I said I'm not going use One for All, I said I was gonna become a quirkless hero and I meant it..." Gai stood up from his seat. "I'm going to get checked by Chiyo."
"Mirai-San, wait!" Gai turned towards Inko. "Yes Inko?" She looked down before looking up in with a sad smile. "Be well."
"... same to you." Gai said before turning to the door and sliding it open. "Good day Yagi's."
Gai was frustrated... he was never vocal about it but he didn't exactly like the Yagi family, Toshinori's a hypocrite who believed he couldn't be a hero when he never even looked in Gai's direction! Izumi.. he never really blamed Izumi for forgetting him, she's still a child but her parents still should have known better, the only thing that angered him was the fact that she couldn't handle the responsibilities of One for All and pushed it onto him, Inko... she isn't any less guilty but... at least she's trying.. that's more than he can say for the other two.
"Annnd done." Gai was brought out of his thoughts. "I healed up some of your ribs, you shouldn't feel any pain on your lungs." Recovery Girl informed. "Thanks Chiyo."
"It's no problem Gai, now onto your back.. I'm sorry to say that your sensory nervous system has been damaged, you should have already realized it's a bit hard to feel textures, warmth, cold, pain etc. It's not as bad as it could have been -thank God- but it's still damaged, it can be healed with surgery but that choice is yours."
"I... I'll think about it."
One day later.
"What's going on!?" Uraraka yelled surprised at the amount of students blocking the door way. "They can't block us forever, I know my freedom!" Mineta yelled before Bakugo walked past him. "They're scoping out the competition, small fry."
"Cuz we're the kids that survived a villain attack. It makes sense they'd want a look before the sports festival." The explosive boy stood tall. "Well take a good long look extras, this is what a future pro looks like." This caused an outrage, not only by the students outside, but also his classmates in the classroom. "You cannot simply call people 'extras' just because you don't know their names!" Shouted Iida.
"It's true that we came to get a look, but you sure are modest." A voice spoke out from the crowd. "Are all in the hero course like this one? Gotta say, I'm a little disillusioned if that's the case." A boy stood if front of the door, he had purple hair and tired eyes. "Those that couldn't make the cut into the hero course were placed in general studies and other tracks, did you know that?"
"Depending on the results of the sports festival.. they might consider transferring us into the hero course." He gave the class a hard glare. "I understand the reverse is also possible for you. Scoping out the competition? For a general studies kid like me.."
"This'll be the perfect chance to knock you off your pedestals." Gai started walking up to the door. "Consider this a declaration of wa..." His voice died in throat, Gai was practically looming over him. "What did you say your name was?" Gai asked him. "Shinso, my name is Shinso Hitoshi."
"Nice to meet you Shinso, my name is Mirai Gai." Gai greeted taking deep breath 'God that feels amazing.' He thought before continuing. "Shinso did you know we almost died?"
"Our Sensei could have lost his arm." He moved aside and pointed towards a bandaged up Aizawa. "One of my classmates, Tsu-chan, was close to having her face disintegrated." He pointed towards a very shaken up Asui. "And I.." He lifted up his hand and all the students noticed that he tried to stabilize it, but his hand still twitched every few seconds. "Got serious nerve damage. It's hard to feel textures, warmth, cold, pain and it messes up my motor functions."
"We all suffered, so I'd appreciate it if you didn't make light of the situation and assume that we're proud of nearly dieing." Many of the students looked disturbed and others looked down in shame, Shinso himself was feeling quite guilty. "If that's all then I'd like to leave please." The students all moved out of his way.
Over the next two weeks the students of U.A were to train in preparation of the sports festival, Uraraka had decided to train with Gai where she made an interesting discovery...
*Knock*
*Knock*
Uraraka heard grumbling at the other end. "For the last time Yagi, Gai doesn't wanna talk to youuuu..." Uraraka was met with a tall woman with green hair that had streaks of yellow fixed in a messy bun, she was in black sweatpants and wore a turtleneck sweater a couple sizes to big for her. "Oh... how can I help you?"
"Oh hello.. I was wondering if you knew where Gai was?" Uraraka was confused, she knew she was at the right address, but she'd never seen this woman before. She was to young to be his mother, an older sister maybe? Wait she said Yagi right? Do they know each other? Did they have history?
"He's out getting groceries right now." She was broken out of her thoughts. "O-oh really?" Uraraka was nervous, she had made a fool of herself in front of... whoever this was. "Well are you gonna come in or..?"
"O-oh if you don't mind!" Uraraka replied embarrassed. "Pardon the intrusion." She took her shoes off at the door. Walking in revealed a pretty cozy looking living room, a cream colored couch and a nice table made of shiny dark wood. She sat down at a table next to the kitchen. "You have a nice place." Uraraka muttered taking a sip of the tea Mirai gave her. "Thank you, though Gai was the one who bought it, I simply helped decorate." Mirai replied drinking out of her own cup of tea.
...
..
'This is so awkward!' Uraraka screamed in her mind. "You never introduced yourself."
"O-oh sorry! My name is Uraraka Ochako!" Uraraka replied quickly. "It's nice to meet you Uraraka-San, I'm Mirai Sasaki."
'Mirai.' thought Uraraka. Gai had been calling himself that too, are they related? But before she could think any further Mirai spoke. "So Uraraka-San, did someone by the name of Yagi bring you here?" Uraraka blinked, Mirai's eyes were sharp, waiting for an answer. "No..? Why, did she need something?" Seeing her confusion Mirai's eyes softened. "No it's just we don't like the Yagi family very much." She explained much to Uraraka's surprise. "They did something... pretty horrible to Gai before I met him." Mirai continued. "But now they want forgiveness, now they want to say they're sorry after 10 years." She said gripping her cup harder. "What a bunch of idiots..." She finished before looking down at her cup and calming down, she didn't want to break it. "He doesn't talk about it much but I can tell he doesn't like them."
"I... wow.. I never knew that." Uraraka was speechless, she didn't know what Izumi or her family did but it must have been pretty bad if Gai didn't like them. "Do you know what happened?"
"Yeah but it's not my place to tell." Mirai stated before staring lovingly at the wedding band on her finger. "It's a miracle he doesn't hate their guts." Just then they heard a door open and two voices talking. "Thanks again for helping with the groceries."
"Oh it's no problem! It's the least I can do after what you did at the USJ." The two at the table looked to the door way and saw Gai with a girl of average height, she had short light red hair, as well as some even lighter almost pink bangs on top, simulating a spiral. Her irises had an orange ring around them. She wore tight yoga pants that greatly complemented her... 'ass'-ests, and a sports bra with a black muscle shirt a size to big for her.
"Looks like you're back." Mirai called out to the both of them, they turned to where the voice was and smiled simultaneously. "We're back!" They replied also simultaneously.
If Uraraka was confused before then she was absolutely dumbfounded now, who was this?? Another sister??? But they look nothing alike. 'To be fair..' Uraraka thought. 'Gai and Mirai-San don't really look alike either..'
"Hey Chako-chan! I didn't know you were coming today." Gai called out before putting some of the grocery bags on the kitchen counter. "Are you staying for dinner?"
"Oh if you don't mind!" Uraraka replied quickly. "Of course not! Oh An-Chan, can you grab me some pepperoni? I wanna try my hand in some simple pizza today." Gai requested before looking back at Uraraka. "You're not allergic to anything are you? Or are you lactose intolerant?" Gai asked with Uraraka replying "no" both times.
On that day Uraraka Ochako found out some interesting things. The Mirai family don't like the Yagi's, Gai has a friend named Hirooki Anakuro -Uraraka and Hirooki had become rivals for Gai's love- and that Mirai was actually Gai's wife.
