Location: A hospital in Hosu city
"Brother!!"
"Tenya, keep it down." His mother urged him. "And please, wear a mask.."
"The anesthesia just wore off. He opened his eyes, but he's still out of it." A nurse informed. "Had the surgery been delayed by even two minutes, it would've been too late."
"Tenya... mother.." a raspy voice called out, Mrs. Iida couldn't take the stress it seems, as she collapsed at the sound of her eldest son's voice.
"Tenya.. my amazing brother... I know you... look up to me so.." He stopped, taking multiple breathes. "I'm sorry... Tenya... your big brother... lost.."
"You've got your costumes right?"
"Yeahhh!!"
"Don't slur your 'yeah', Ashido." Aizawa reprimanded. "All of you, be on your best behavior! Now go."
"This is gonna be so fun!"
"Hmmm? You headed to Kyushu? It's the other way."
"You have my thanks."
"Have a save trip!"
"Texts you guys later!"
"Robo-kun." Gai's voice cut through the idle chit-chat of 1-A, Iida's turned to see both Gai and Uraraka. "If it ever gets too much and you need to talk.. just say something, alright?" He smiled gently while Uraraka nodded her head aggressively.
"... sure." Was all Iida said before heading off to his station, Gai sighed. "He's not gonna listen.."
"Usually I'm just waiting around for a call to come in." Said the The Normal Hero: Manual. "But lately, well.. Hosu's been in a bit of a panic."
"Because the number of patrolmen has been downsized?"
"That's right!" Manual snapped his fingers and pointed at Iida before walking normally. "Sure is nice to have Ingenium's little brother with me though.." He muttered quietly.
Iida walked behind the pro in silence. 'The hero killer, a phantom that even modern law enforcement hasn't been able to reach... it may be in vain but I can't help but want to pursue him.' He clenched his fist. 'Because I... can never forgive him..'
"To be honest, I'm not a fan of yours."
"...huh?"
"And I imagine the only reason you chose my agency is because I'm one of the top five most popular heroes, right?" Asked The No.4 Hero, Best Jeanist.
"But you decided to draft me..." Said Bakugo, slightlyirritated.
"Yes! Because all I've had lately are little do-gooders... But you're the first in a long time who.." He slicked his hair to the side. ".. is a bit more ferocious. And my job as a hero is reforming people like you."
"Heroes and villains are two sides of the same coin, I can see it in those eyes of yours." Bakugo grimaced. "So what is it that really makes someone a hero?"
"Well, it's true. I get paid by the state, which technically makes me a government employee... but given my status, I'm nothing like your average government worker." Informed The Chivalrous Hero: Fourth Kind.
Both Kirishima and a silver haired boy named Tetsutetsu looked at each other. "Why're you here!?" They did a 'manly handshake', they faced each other in sports festival and created a 'manly friendship'.
"I was allowed to take in two students, so I want to tell you both what this work is actually like." Fourth Kind spoke up, catching the attention of his students. "Basically my job is getting a handle on crime, okay?"
"When something bad happens, the police call me for help. Each district sends their requests in batches, okay?"
"I write up nice reports describing how much help I was at catching bad guys and saving people." Explained The Battle Hero: Gunhead. "Once the specialty organization does it's little examination, they put money into my bank account, okay?"
"It's mostly on commission." He finished and Uraraka nodded. 'The way he talks is really cute.' She thought, pretty surprised.
"What else? Right... we also get to do side work." Spoke The Snake Hero: Uwabami. "You might've heard how we get to use part of our sanctioned public service hours for this. That's one perk to being popular and in public demand."
"Which is why I'm about to shoot a commercial." She applied some lipstick. "Come along and watch."
"I was kind of hoping to experience... something a little more hero-like." Kendo, class president of 1-B muttered, scratching the back of her head.
"No!! This is a path we won't be able to avoid when we go pro!" Said Yaoyorozu, remembering Gai's words and hoping to make him proud again. "Not to mention she decided to favor me, as utterly undeserving though I am.."
"I'm sure this will be a great learning experience!!"
"Don't strain yourself there..." was all Kendo replied with.
"The hero that scared the pants off dad. Gran Torino was his name, doesn't ring any bells, but he must be one awesome guy!" Said Izumi, chanting the words 'one awesome guy!' Over and over. She stopped at a shabby building. "One awesome... guy.."
"Do I have the right address...?"
She opened the door and peaked in slightly. "I've come from U.A high school... my name is Yagi Izumi-"
*bang!*
"Ack!"
Izumi smacked into the wooden floor, she looked up to see an old man in a golden age costume glaring down at her. "H-hey, you're that old guy that showed up when Onii-chan left!"
He growled at that, but walked up the her. "What kind of reaction is that? I knew Toshinori would be an amateur at teaching, but this is ridiculous..." He grumbled, putting his cane in between the strap of her suitcase and dragging it over to him. "Interesting choice of costume.." Gran Torino muttered, looking down at the opened case. 'More like unoriginal, it's just an imitation of Toshinori's young age costume.'
"Now then." He spoke up, catching Izumi's attention. "Fire off an attack, show me your one for all." Izumi slowly got up. "I'd like to know what degree you can control it."
Gai made his way to his internship, walking passed multiple people who recognized him immediately.
"Mommy look! From the..."
"Hey, ain't that the kid..."
"What's he doing out here..."
"OMG, isn't that.."
"He was the one who got..."
"Yo, no way..."
"That guy is..."
Gai walked up to the agency, opened the door, and greeted the secretary. "Hello, miss secretary."
"Hello, mister hero." Was her reply. "Here to give Mrs. Nighteye her lunch?"
"No, well actually yes, but no." Said Gai. "I'm here for my internship." The secretary nodded and pointed to the back with her thumb.
"I'm sure you know your way by now."
"Yo, Mr. Mirai!" Came a voice behind Gai.
"Hey, Mirio." Gai said, looking at the blonde haired third year. "How many times do I have to tell you to stop with the 'Mr. Mirai' stuff, you're three times my senior."
"Yeah, I know." Said Mirio, walking alongside Gai. "It's just feels right."
The two stopped at a door with odd sounds coming from it. "Is she...?"
"I think so."
"Poor Awata.." Gai sighed and opened the door...
Only to see his wife staring down a woman with blue skin trapped in what looks like a torture device that only tickles the person in it. Truly, the highest form of torture. "Hello Gai, Mirio." Said Mirai, not even looking over at the two in the doorway.
"Heya, hon." Was all Gai said while Mirio got the poor woman out of the tickle machine. "I brought lunch." Gai lifted the bento boxes up.
"Good, now let's get this meeting started." Mirai stated and took one of the bento, placing it gently on her lap.
To be continued.
