"Is that drugs? Heroin? Right here on the bounty? I will tell Uncle Wu you know"

Kai looks up from his position on the toiled seat, startled and sligthly tired, he frowns as soon as he sees the blond mop peek from the doorway.

"First of all how the hell do you know what those are."

"I was homeless for like 3 months, remember?"

"Right... You shouldn't even know they exist"

The blonde kid shrughs "And you shouldn't be doing drugs" That earns him a snarl.

"Don't you know how to knock?"

Lloyd kicks the door slightly, not moving from his position. "It wasn't locked"

"You still have to knock you know?"

"If you really wanted privacy you should've locked the door"

"What are you, my parent?"

Now that makes the kid glare at him. "I'm ten"

"And you're acting like my parents, now go away"

"I thought you didn't have parents"

"And I thought yours was in Hell"

Lloyd gasps, dramatically, and for a moment Kai has to wonder if he had gone too far as he tends to do with everyone that is not called Nya, he stays still for a moment, expecting cries and tears and whails but instead Lloyd seems to get more determinated than ever and he doubles down, chosing to just keep glaring at him with bright, intense red eyes.

"At least I know where he is"

"Yeah! Well-"

Their bickering is interrupted when a taller figure towers over the kid, pushing the door forward and making him stumble inside the bathroom with a small cry.

"Are you done yet or- Oh, Lloyd"

"Sorry Sis" Kai scoffs "Not done yet, someone decided to come by and be a pest"

Lloyd sticks his tongue out towards the teen, who quickly reciprocated the gesture.

With a sigh and a small smile Nya leans against the doorway, arms crossed.

"Well hurry up because I also need my shot"

"Shot?, Oh, are you sick?" Lloyd blinked with less antagonism this time, still not making the effort to get up and walk.

"Uh, not really?"

"So... you two are doing drugs, okay"

As Lloyd was about to run off and probably tell the whole bounty they were doing drugs Nya managed to snatch his hoodie and pull slightly.

"Hold it right there"

"Hey!" Shouted the kid indignantly. "Let me go!"

"Nope" And the she closed the door. "We're not doing drugs, is just our T and E-shots"

"Oh... I don't know what's that"

"Testosterone and Estrogen"

"Uh"

"It's just so Nya's body and mine match our genders"

"Does that affect how you look?"

"Yeah"

"Oh... Ooooh, I think. I've heard about that, uh... you two are.. err... trans?"

"Yep, you know about that?"

Lloyd shrugged. "I heard about it around, just a little though, I don't think I can completely understand it... Oh! but I don't mind"

"Well that's fine, you can just always ask us you know"

"Okay... Do the others know?"

"Ye"

"Cool"

Lloyd kept silent for a bit before coming up with a question.

"Really? Both of you?"

"Yeah"

Lloyd smiled a bit, taking a seat at the tub. "That's a bit funny"

"You think so?"

"Yeah, is like, you just exchanged with each other"

Nya giggled "I guess you can look at it that way"

There was a small silence and Kai sighed a bit.

"Well, if you two don't mind I'll go ahead and take my shot"

"Sure"

"Okay"

Nya went ahead to sit besides Lloyd as both looked at Kai the youngest couldn't help but wince at the needle, deciding to settle his gaze on Nya.

"So..."

She turned around a bit to address him.

"How did you figured it out?"

"Uhm well, see in Ignacia is pretty common to grow out your hair"

"Really?"

"Yeah"

Lloyd looked at boht Kai and Nya back and forth for a bit.

"But you two have short hair"

"Eh, Kai's a bit long"

"No, not really"

"You're right, not really... anyways, we grew ours pretty long for some time, and well, Ignacia has a lot of visitors when it's like, Autumn, because is harvest time and we've this festival so, yeah, there's lots of people, so, a lot of times I got confused as a girl"

"Ooooh"

"Yeah, the first few times I was a bit angry for people just assuming because that's just rude, but honestly? I got giddy and happy whenever someone referred to me as a girl so I started to present as such"

"Oh, that sounds... easy?"

"What part?"

"Figuring it out I guess, you said you felt giddy when being called a girl"

"Ah" Nya grabbed some of her hair, playing with it a bit. "Sounds easy but it definitely took me some sleepless nights, but some other people just think about it once and figures out it fits, I'm a bit jelaous of them, truly"

"And how did Kai figured it out?"

"She's talking about me" Kai replied from his seat, shot all done, he smirked playfully. "One day I decided I felt better as a boy and that was it"

"Just like that?'"

"Yep, didn't affect my sleeping schedule unlike someone else"

Nya kicked him. "You're so annoying sometimes"

"Awww but you love you big bro"

"I guess"

"That's nice... And you just like, say you feel like a boy or girl and just use those uh.. Pronouns?"

"Us? Yes, I go with male pronouns and Nya goes with femenine ones though some people go with "Them" or even "it"

"Really?"

"Yeah"

"That sounds nice"

Lloyd tried to stretch his legs but found it difficult with the small space so instead he started to bounce his right leg, thinking.

Admitedly the bathroom was maybe a bit too small for three people, but Nya didn't really care and Kai didn't seem too bothered either.

Still Nya chose to stand up and try to walk a bit, she noticed the pondering kid and smiled.

"You know, you don't have to figure it out now, or today or even this week, you've got all your lifetime for it"

"And what if I never do? Or I never find the right word?"

Kai shrugged, leaning against the toilet. "I think that's all-right too, as long a you're comfortable with yourself, sometimes labels just won't fit and that's okay"

"I guess so"

Nya snickered. "Still not happy?"

"Lloyd shrugged. "It all sounds so... complicated."

"Sometimes, sometimes you just know"

"And If I'm wrong?"

"Lloyd, I don't think there's a wrong answer for this kind of stuff"

"Oh, that's good to hear I guess"

With that the three fell into a comfortable silence, Nya opting to sit at the door, she considered on doing her shot but decided against it, not really because the company but because the bathroom just feel too cramped at the moment, she preferred to just do her shot and relax a bit for herself, so she decided to wait.

Meanwhile Kai, having finished his own, started to put his stuff away, Lloyd decided to just close his eyes hand in hands as he mulled over what he just learnt, then as if he had realizaed something he looked up.

"Wait... you said "They"... right?"

"Yeah"

Lloyd kicked his legs against the tub and looking up a little bit, as if thinking.

"So... I can use They?"

"If you want"

"Uhm... What about He and They? Can I use both?"

"If you feel comfortable, sure"

And then Lloyd smiled, looking at the other two with a new shine in his eyes.

"I think I like that"

A hand came to ruffle their hair and he giggled.

"I'm glad Squirt"
