Chapter eight:

Kyouya heads for the mansion to speak with Daiki. He arrives and is let inside.

"The master is waiting for you in his office." One of the servants mentions while bowing in greeting to Kyouya.

Kyouya is glad that Daiki agreed to meet with him. He has a feeling that the other has some other motives for doing so. He however has already decided to not let the other talk him into anything. He's going to give him the papers and inform him of how things are going to be. "Take me to him."

The servant nods and leads Kyouya to where Daiki is waiting.

Daiki waves to dismiss the servant who bows then leaves. "I think we both know how you think this will go." He mentions as Kyouya pulls up a chair to sit in not letting the other see his eyes. "However I have had quite a bit of time to think while being alone here. And I do realize that Kaoru will most likely not understand why things had to be done."

Kyouya almost punches him since it's clear the other thinks what he did was worth doing. He holds back knowing that he should be able to get back at him enough to partially make up for it. "And what will you do with this realization?" He inquires watching Daiki carefully.

Daiki closes his eyes with a sigh actually looking remorseful. "Well. If I can't get him to understand then there may only be one thing I can do. Let him go. I really don't want to." He opens his eyes glancing down. "I do love him. I swear." He does actually look honest in this. "However because I love him I suppose I need to let him decide if he wants to stay at all or not with me. I don't want our relationship to be forced in anyway. As much as I want him to stay."

"Then you really shouldn't have cheated."

"I did it for a very good reason." Daiki starts as his eyes flicker up to look at Kyouya who raises a hand. He stops at seeing this.

"I am not here to argue about such things." Kyouya informs him lowering his hand. He goes into his bag pulling out some papers. "I cannot confirm for sure if Kaoru will go through with splitting up completely. However I do want you to know that if he does me and Haruhi will fight for him to have custody of the children. Also, whether or not Kaoru stays I will be giving you the papers saying that my family, as well as Kaoru's other friends, will not be doing business with you specifically. It is under your name and says that if you hand off your business to someone else, such as one of the children, then they can apply to do business with us. Just know that some may still refuse to do business with your company. You did go very public after all. Oh and we are being very public about not wanting to associate with you right now. While also showing our support for Kaoru. So this isn't a hidden thing." He gives Daiki the papers only for the other to take a moment to look through them.

Daiki lets out a breath putting the papers on his desk. "I am aware that they would likely rather not see me. However I would like to request that you give them something for me. You can check it yourself however you wish. It will not harm them. I give you my work. Whatever that is worth to you now."

Kyouya slightly tilts his head at this. "And what is it that you wish for me to pass along to them?" He watches the other carefully as he reaches for it. He has some faith that the other won't hurt him, Kaoru or the kids however he wants to careful just in case. He is handed two prepared bags. He takes them and checks out the items inside. He finds nothing wrong with them and can see why Daiki might want to give these to them.

"Thank you for at least giving these to them." Daiki mentions to which Kyouya nods.

"Trust me in that you will know what Kaoru decides to do about all of this." Kyouya gets up and is about to leave when Daiki asks him to pass along one more thing. He nods curious about what it is this time.

"Can you tell Kaoru that if he does decide to leave then I won't fight for custody. I think he'll give those kids a better life than I could. Also I am willing to give them a chance to inherit whatever will be left of my company. That is if I feel it'll be worth anything. I am hoping to bring things back up and hopefully be able to pass along something to those kids."

Kyouya pauses not having expected this from Daiki. He knows that the other does also love those kids. "Okay. I will let him know."

Daiki nods and turns away so Kyouya takes his leave.

Kyouya mentions to a staff to make sure Daiki doesn't try anything stupid.

She promises to keep an eye on him.

So Kyouya heads out to his waiting limo. He settles down and tells the driver where to go. He takes another look at what Daiki has given him to give to Kaoru and the kids. He can't help a small smile as he looks over the one meant for Kaoru. He thinks that the other is going to love it. He arrives to Hikaru's mansion and heads inside.

Hikaru calls him over from the living room so he heads over.

The twins are sitting on the couch while Kaoru's children play with toys on the floor.

Kyouya sits on the couch by the twins. "I visited him." He mentions knowing that he doesn't have to say who he means. "He understands about the withdrawal of us working with him. Also he requested me to tell you Kaoru, that if you do decide to leave he won't fight for custody. He thinks that you can give them a better life. Also that he is going to try to make his company still worth something. So if the children want then they can inherit his company." He is kind of glad the two don't seem to hear him as if too involved in their game. "He also wanted me to give you these." He hands the bags to Kaoru who checks inside.

Kaoru first pulls out a photo album. He looks through it seeing the various pictures over the years. He sees memories with Daiki and even with the kids. "We made this together. So either of us could add a picture if we wanted." He mentions as he looks over the album. He pauses as he comes to the most recent family trip that included Daiki in it. He can't help looking at how happy they were when they were unaware of what Daiki had done. He knows that he can't forgive Daiki for what he has done. He just also knows that he needs to decide what his next step is going to be in all of this. He looks to the kids who get some toys of theirs that they had left behind. He will need to decide what he is officially going to do for their sake.
