The "human" stood in front of the mirror, she had gone straight to bed when she and her adopted family got home, completely forgetting that she looked like this, a face one could only describe as a mixture of confusion and fear were evident on her face as she stared at her face in the mirror, her eyes shone gold, quite literally glowing, the whites of her eyes had gone black, her brown hair was now a purple hue, and much longer then it was before, she looked herself over, running a skeletal hand across the black fur that had encompassed her body, she looked down to her feet, where 5 individual digits used to be were now replaced with two sharp, bone-like talons, she then looked at her hand, only now noticing her fingers which ended in sharp points, when the titan granted the remnants of his power to her he had made it seem like it was temporary, that this power was merely a last resort at defeating Belos and that she would return back to being Luz the human when his last remnants of life left her body.
As she stared at herself, she reflected on her life, her friends, her family, and mostly, her humanity. She always said she wanted to be a witch like everyone else on the Boiling Isles, she wanted to use normal magic, and if that mean't losing her humanity, so be it.
And yet, now that she finally got what she wanted, Luz found that she felt lost without that part of her, an empty vessel, she was no longer sure she wanted this, now she simply wanted to go home, her real home.
The Human? Shook her head, trying to clear her mind.
"This is temporary…it's just….taking a little longer then i thought it would."
Luz began looking at herself again, pulling off her coat - Happy to know that it wasn't a part of her body, although her upper half was entirely covered in fur, she at least could still wear her old clothes without any discomfort, though once she saw that the bone appendages that were present on her coat were still on her body, and that the bones on the coat were hollow, she knew she would have to make some adjustments.
The grey pants that were on her body came off easily enough, though the fur that had also grown on her lower half made it impossible to see anything.
Luz had already removed her hat, the two holes in the front of her hat a constant reminder of the lightning shaped horns that now adorned her head, adding an awkward weight that she was not used to.
The glyph on her chest remained, it had simply moved when she took off her coat, it gave off a warm glow that Luz had found irritating when she tried to sleep, resorting to covering it so she could sleep.
She hated it, she hated how natural it felt, she hated how she lost something dear to her.
And while she hated a lot about her predicament, her hatred couldn't come close to the fear she got from a single thought that she tried to keep in the back of her mind.
"What do I tell Mom?"
Before she could continue her slow descent into a meltdown, a knock permeated the air, causing Luz to jump, and yelp, only that it was a sound she had heard King make many times, a sound she now knew was that of the titans.
"Weh!?"
A chuckle was heard behind the door, a familiar voice of the witch that had taken her under her metaphorical - and literal - wings.
"I see King's wearing off on you, what's wrong, kid?"
Luz couldn't respond, only stand there, a new thought piercing her mind.
"What would Eda think?"
