Hey there, new chapter in here and we will start the final selection of the Demon Slayers. This is going to be a fun chapter to see and we will see where Izuku is going to be in a good direction.

A few weeks later

At Izuku home

Izuku was just meditating at his room, he was trying to get a nice balance of his mind and try to expand his longues as best as he could.

''I am one with the wind. I can sense the breeze around me.'' Said Izuku to himself. A little mantra as he tries to feel a connection with the air element.

As he kept meditate his phone started to buzz.

Buzz Buzz

Izuku saw it was a unknow number, he knew that meant it was the Demon Slayer headquarters.

''Hello?'' Asked Izuku.

''We will pick tomorrow in the morning.'' Said a member of the Kakushi.

''Understand.'' Said Izuku.

''Say goodbye to his mother, grab your kimono and your sword.'' Said the Kakushi.

''Understood.'' Said Izuku.

The number soon go silence and Izuku felt a little bit nervous. He knew that unlike the previous test this would either let him survive and continue or he would die. He could back down, but he came this far, and he wanted to keep going.

''I guess this is it.'' Said Izuku nervous.

The teen just made a little pray for the heavens, making sure that God was watching him and would let him go in a good path for victory. This could be the most difficult test of his life.

Next day

Izuku putt his kimono at his backpack and put his sword in his waist, he was a bit nervous, but he was dedicated in doing this test. Inko, however, felt that her son was nervous, and she was curious what was going on.

''Are you really sure that you want to go?'' Asked Inko.

''Yes mom, I need to do this. Mr U gave me so much and I need to do this test.'' Said Izuku.

''But why are you so quiet? You feel nervous and I can tell darling. Why don't you call it sick?'' Asked Inko.

''because if I miss today, I will pretty much spitting on the offer that he gave me. I need to do this test mom, it's the only way to pay him back for anything that he did to me. I came this far, and I need to do it.'' Said Izuku serious.

The old woman saw how Izuku was talking, he wasn't even muttering or being his bright self, it was a bit cold and super serious.

''You changed Izuku.'' Said Inko a bit worried.

''I had to mom. I couldn't keep it up being that scared boy from the whole middle school, if I want to be a hero I need to be serious and be realistic.'' Said him.

Inko went towards her son and grabbed his hand, even crying a little bit.

''Please don't hurt yourself and come back to me.'' Said her.

''Don't worry mom, I will be back. Its just a week.'' Said Izuku hugging her.

''A whole week without talking to you will drive me crazy.'' Said Inko.

''I need to do know how to fight without technology, villains can use all kind of advantage to attack me.'' Said Izuku.

''Izuku please, I am already having a hard time letting you being a hero, now doing these test where they are going to try to attack you is just about to put me in the hospital.'' Said Inko.

''Sorry mom, but I need to do it. To protect the ones I love, like you.'' Said Izuku.

''Oh baby.'' Said Inko hugging her son.

The two hugged for a moment and then they heard a car horn and Izuku could tell it was his ride.

''I guess this it.'' Said Izuku.

''Well, I will be waiting for you with your favorite dishes.'' Said Inko with a big smile.

''Thank you, mom.'' Said Izuku

Inko went and kissed her son in the head, giving him the great amount of love that she always gave to him all these years. Izuku then grabbed his sword and went down for his ride.

Inside of car.

Izuku waved goodbye to his mom as the car went away, who was ridding was a random member of the Kakushi.

''So you're the kid who would be our intel at UA?'' Asked the Kakushi.

''Yes, are you that surprised?'' Asked Izuku confused.

''Boy, it's my first time seeing you. I just heard rumors about you and I wanted to take a look at you with my own eyes.'' Said Kakushi.

''You weren't in the main headquarters?'' Asked Izuku.

''I was more at the areas of master Giyu and master Gyomei. Plus, you can't tell our difference with our masks, even the ones with mutation quirks have to cover their entire body.'' Said the Kakushi.

''Its ok, you have your job to fulfill and I had to train with a hashira. I can tell that both are not easy jobs to fufil.'' Said Izuku.

Izuku and the Kakushi spent a few hours speaking, he was taking the secret route that the Demon Slayer Headquarters knew in order to go to places that where only knew to them. The teen soon discovered that he would arrive a few hours earlier to the exam so he would spent a time in a cabin a few kilometers near the spot where the exam would happen.

Hours later

The sun was soon going out and Izuku decided to head out to the exam. He learned that the path would be a challenge itself, he had to use his knowledge and search for clues to where the test would happen.

''Alright, I think it's best for me to put my kimono.'' Said Izuku.

The teen soon opens his backpack to grab the kimono, however he saw a little note there and was confused.

''Huh?'' Asked him confused.

´´I saw that your kimono need it some color, so I put some life into it.``

Izuku took out his kimono and saw it looked now.

''Oh mom.'' Said Izuku a bit embarrassed/

The kimono had now green lines, and even symbols that could look like bunnies, but Izuku thought it was supposed to be All Might.

''I guess this is cute.'' Thoguht him a bit embarrassed.

He then started to put his kimono when he suddenly heard a animal squawking.

Craw Craw

Izuku turned his head to see a crow in his window.

''Uh?'' Asked Izuku confused.

The crow had a note in his leg, Izuku went and took the paper out of the animal leg.

''Thank you?'' Asked him confused.

He read the paper and saw it was a clue about where the exam would take place.

''I guess it's really time to head out.'' Thought him.

Izuku put his sword in his waist and adjusted his kimono, he was ready to head off. He gave a little pray and hoped to returned to his mom, he didn't came this far to just die. He would achieve his dream and show the world what dedication could do instead of just relying on a quirk.

One hour later

Izuku followed the clues that he could find, and they all led him to Fujikasaneyama, that would be the place where the final selection. He soon found a great garden and he could hear people talking from a good distance, he saw this was the place. While going up he was admiring the beauty of the surroundings, the place was filled with just one type of flower.

''Wisteria.'' Said Izuku seeing the plant.

He was a bit confused since they were supposed to blossom later this year, but he wasn't going to question that. Once he got in the final floor he saw the other participants.

''Wow, that's a lot of people.'' Thought him.

Izuku saw a lot of weird people going to do this test, none of them had a mutant quirk so most were of human appearance.

Soon two people arrived holding ceremonial lanterns, they were two little girls(?) wearing kimonos that match the environment. One had black hair and the other had white hair. He thought for a moment that those were Ubuyashiki kids but its been a while since he saw them.

''Greetings everyone, thank you all for joining the final selection tonight. There are a lot of demons held captive on this mountain brought back by demon killing swordmen. They are unable to leave.'' Said the kid with black hair.

''Because from the mountain foot to halfway up, there a lot of demon repelling wisteria that bloom all year around.'' Said the kid with white hair.

''However, from here on out, there are no more wisteria, only demons. If you can survive for 7 days…'' Said the kid with black hair and then the white haired one finished.

''Then you pass the final selection. Now let the final selection begin.'' Said the white haired one.

Izuku saw them extinguish the light from their lanterns and soon all the other participants went towards the forest.

''I guess this is it.'' Thoguht Izuku.

The teen saw everyone going towards separate positions, so teaming up wouldn't be a thing for this test.

Inside the forest

Izuku was already nervous, sweating just dropping from his body as he tried to look around for any demon that would pass by. Thankful all he need it to do was just hear, because demons apparently like to talk really loudly about attacking.

''Look at that kid, the one with broccoli head. I call dibs on him!'' Said a demon that had a serpent head.

''No! I want him! I haven't eaten in two weeks.'' Said the other demon.

The two argued with each other for a moment, Izuku decided to use that breach to prepare himself.

''I guess this is it.'' Thought him grabbing his sword.

''Hey, the brat has a sword with him!'' Said the serpent one.

''Oh no you don't!'' Said the other demon charging at Izuku with his fangs.

''Crap!'' Said the teen in fear.

Izuku started to run as those two chased him like two wild animals.

''They aren't going to stop! I need to get a nice space.'' Thought him.

Izuku ran a little more until he got a good distance between him and the demons, enough so he could prepare himself.

''Deep breath and concentrate.'' Thoguht him.

Soon he started channeling his breathing style technique at full force.

''Wind style technique: First Form Dust Whirlwind Cutter"

Izuku aimed his attack towards the neck of the demons, they looked like weak ones so they could die from a cut like that.

The two monsters head went down as they were about to die.

''Argh!'' Scream the two as they dissolve into ash

Izuku saw those two disappearing as he felt a sense of accomplishment.

''I did! I cut a demon, not only one but two!'' Said Izuku screaming out loud.

''Who is screaming?'' Asked another demon.

Izuku saw another demon coming around, he looked like a human hybrid with a fish.

''Did you killed some demons? I guess you had some luck brat.'' Said the demon.

Izuku soon got a serious expression and was holding his sword with a tight grip.

''I will survive this test and become a hero.'' Thought Izuku.

The young teen was ready to fight for a whole week, this was nothing like the UA entrance exam, if a teen complains about that test he would just shut them down, this is literal hell. Izuku wouldn't bitch and complain about this, he would fight and kill as many demons as he could.

So yeah, I am going to finish the chapter right here. Sorry if this wasn't the most elaborate and long chapter that you're all being waiting for. I decided to go with a small one this time because I wanted to do a big one or two ones to cover the final selection, now one thing for you all to know, no Izuku won't be facing off the hand demon that Tanjiro fought. I am making new ones and I am still trying to have an idea on how they would look like.

Again, sorry for grammar and pace issues, I am just a guy on a keyboard and making stories for fun. I hope you all can understand that.
