Welcome dear readers to the first chapter of my first My Hero Academia/Kamen Rider cross-over fanfiction story. There are many Anime/Kamen Rider Crossover fanfiction writers who are my inspiration. This is the first time I write fanfiction like this with my OC as Kamen Rider. this really makes me flutter. So, Enjoy the story.
Chapter 1:
A boy around his age with bushy black hair and red eyes was walking around in the park. This boy is Retsu Ihara (位原烈, Ihara Retsu).
Retsu was walking around humming until he saw a boy with smooth dark green hair shaking in front of a crying child. The boy is Izuku Midoriya (緑谷出久, Midoriya Izuku).
Izuku: So mean, Kacchan... Didn't you see he was crying...? If you keep doing it, lIll never forgive you!
He became teary-eyed with fear.
What he was facing now was a fellow kid with short, spiky, sandy blonde hair with wavy bangs that covered his trim. His hands flickered with small explosions. This child is Katsuki Bakugo (爆豪勝己, Bakugō Katsuki)
Behind him was a bald, fat, red-winged boy, and a thin, long-fingered boy.
Katsuki: Even though you're Quirkless... You pretend to be a hero, Deku?
Izuku flinched in fear as Katsuki and his friends lazed nearby to distract him. But before they could raise their fists towards lzuku, Retsu then spoke to stop them.
Retsu: Hey! Can you guys have me come play?
Retsu said with an innocent smile on his face
Katsuki: Huh?
Bakugou stopped and looked at the source of the voice. He saw Retsu walking towards them.
Retsu: You guys are playing villains and heroes right? Let me join too!
Bakugo: We're not playing!
Retsu then realized that it was bullying.
Retsu: Ah... then this is bullying, right? Then please stop or I'll report you to your parents.
Retsu said that while smiling sweetly which annoyed Bakugo.
Bakugou: What's wrong with this kid? Do you have a problem with us? Hah?
Retsu felt irritated by what he said.
Retsu: Yes, you bunch of bullies!
Bakugou: Listen to me, boy. If you don't want to be beaten by us, go away!
Bakugou pushed Retsu but he didn't flinch and Bakugou just grinned.
Bakugou: Looks tough, huh? Let's see if you can do something to counter my quirk! Hahaha! Die!
*Slap!* *Slap!* *Slap!*
Bakugou and his mafia friends fell to the ground, beaten by Retsu.
Retsu walked past them when I saw Izuku shaking as he looked at Retsu.
Retsu: Want some candy?
Izuku: Yes?
Izuku answered confusedly.
Retsu took the candy and placed it on Izuku's palm.
Retsu: Have a nice day!
Retsu gave Izuku a thumbs up as he left but soon someone shouted at him and it was Bakugou with Izuku trying to stop him from behind.
Bakugou: Hey Bastard! I will repay you for what you did to us! Let's fight!
A few minutes later,
Bakugou lay on the ground battered.
Izuku: Kacchan!
Izuku tries to help him. Meanwhile Retsu just stared with a sullen face. Not long after, Bakugou tried to get up.
Bakugou: Not yet! Come on one more time! I will beat you!
Bakugou shouted by activating his quirk but... Within a few seconds, Bakugou was lying on the ground again.
Izuku: Kacchan!
Retsu: Hey, you!
Izuku: My name is Izuku Midoriya!
Retsu: Then Deku.
Deku: Ugh! Not you either...
Retsu: Why don't you like that name? I think it's a cool nickname.
Retsu said with an innocent smile which made Deku frown slightly.
Retsu: Can you tell this pointy-headed kid to stop fighting with me?
Deku just remained silent which made Retsu's smile disappear.
Retsu: Looks like you can't... Is he really that stubborn?
Deku: Yes.
Retsu: Do you want me to send this fool to the hospital?
Deku: No! Please do not!
Retsu sighed.
Retsu: By the way, my name is Retsu Ihara. You can call me Retsu and I'm 4 years old
Deku: Wow! You are actually the same age as us! I never thought about it because you sound older than us.
Retsu: Yes.
Deku: Oh, right! This is my friend Katsuki Bakugou.
Retsu: This loud mouth kid?
Deku: Yes... I'm sorry about him, Retsu-kun.
Retsu: Well... It's okay. He would never win against me anyway.
Deku: Retsu-kun, you are really strong.
Deku suddenly, felt sad.
Retsu: What's wrong?
Deku: Retsu-kun, do you think a quirkless kid like me can become a hero?
Retsu: What did you say? Of course, you can.
Retsu said that without the slightest hesitation which made Deku look at him expectantly.
Retsu: I don't have a quirk either.
Deku's eyes widened in surprise.
Retsu: See you, Deku!
Retsu walked away while giving Deku a thumbs up.
Deku: Yeah!
[Now]
One day long ago in Qing Qing City, China, a radiant baby was born with unique powers. Then, as time went by, similar phenomena occurred throughout the world, and before long the majority of the population had acquired superpowers known as "Quirks". Because of this, people can pursue heroism as a profession. Now 14 year old Retsu is in Middle School discussing his path after graduation.
Teacher: So you're planning on going to UA for your Hero Course.
Retsu: Yes. It was a dream I had since childhood.
Teacher: But without the Quirk it would be very difficult.
Retsu: That's why I constantly tried to improve myself, gaining many skills because of it.
Teacher: Ah... I see.
Retsu: Well then, teach. Thank you for your support. I'll be ready to go home soon!
Teacher: Be careful on your way home.
Retsu: Yes! See you!
Retsu finally packed his things and left the teacher's room while cheerfully waving at her teacher. He started walking home from school because it was getting late.
While he was running, he suddenly heard a loud roar from under the bridge
Curiosity getting the best of him, Retsu jumped down to see what the commotion was about only to encounter something even more surprising. He saw one of his best friends, Izuku Midoriya, being strangled by the Sludge Villain.
Retsu: What... Deku?!
Retsu said as he prepared to help Izuku. He dropped his bag and jumped to help until something flew out of the gutter behind him.
?: It's all right now, young man.
A suffocating Retsu and lzuku looked back only to see the Number One Hero in all of Japan. The Mighty All Might himself appeared before them. Looking at Izuku's number one ldol. He looked incredulous.
Retsu: He just appeared!
The Sludge Villain then goes to whip them with his mud arm, but Retsu and All Might dodge the attack.
All Might: Good reflexes, young boy. But I'll take it from here!
All Might then clenched his fist and punched the air so hard that it created a shockwave.
All Might: Texas Smash!
All Might then proceeds to blow up the Sludge Villain, freeing Izuku in the process. However, the shock wave All Might created was so big that it sent Retsu flying backwards as well.
Retsu: Wow! How cool, isn't it, Deku... Deku?
Retsu then saw Izuku collapsed there and just sighed.
[Little Time Skip]
An unconscious Deku was now lying in Retsu's lap while All Might tried to wake up the middle schooler Izuku, who then opened his eyes at the sound of his loud and caring voice.
All Might: Hey! Hi! Wake-! Oh Thank goodness!
Izuku was both awake and surprised to see All Might in front of him, then he walked away slowly.
All Might: Well, sorry you two scared you. I get excited about holidays in new places. I accidentally involved you two in my villain pursuit. He just stole an artifact from a museum. Ahaha!
Retsu: *Inner* Isn't that a bit careless.
Retsu thought while still smiling at All Might
Izuku: *Inner* Number 1 Hero... All Might is standing in front of me!. Really!.
All Might: But thanks to you two! I've caught him!
He then shows off a large cola bottle with Sludge Man inside.
As Izuku admires their idol, Izuku then remembers something he needs to do.
Izumi: Oh yeah! Sign! Sign. Ah, that's it!
Once Izuku took his hero's notebook, he opened it and saw that it was signed with his signature.
Izuku: He already did!
Retsu: Yes, he also signed my note too.
Retsu shows his autographed notebook but Izuku ignores him and just stands, thanking All Might for the autograph, saying random things like "Family Heirloom"?. Retsu couldn't help but laugh at his childhood friend's behavior.
All Might: OK! Now I have to go! Thank you for the help!
Then All Might jumped into the air at high speed, but Izuku... grabbed his leg and flew with All Might.
Retsu: Wait... Deku!
Retsu tries to grab Deku but it's too late because Deku has already flown away with All Might. Retsu just sighed until he realized that All Might left something behind.
It was something that looked like an iron belt.
Retsu: Ah... that must be the artifact stolen by the Sludge Villain earlier. I have to hand that back to All Might.
Retsu walked to get the iron belt but when he touched the belt Retsu suddenly had a vision. A figure but he couldn't see any details of this image, but it didn't feel hostile. He came closer and put his hand on Retsu's face. He noticed the only obvious feature was the same iron belt that Retsu was holding now.
?: The legend will live on with you.
Retsu immediately flinched away from the belt after experiencing that vision.
Retsu: What did I see just now?
Retsu wondered about his vision earlier. But decided to ignore that and immediately took the belt to hand it over to All Might.
As Retsu was walking to look for All Might, he looked up and saw a cloud of smoke coming from somewhere from one of the nearby shopping districts. He then ran towards the source of the smoke to find the same Sludge Villain that All Might had defeated, holding Katsuki hostage with several pro heroes surrounding the villain, trying to find a way to save Katsuki.
Retsu: KATSUKI!
Not long after, Retsu heard a shadowy voice.
?: Belt..
Retsu looked around but didn't see anyone talking to you.
?: Put on that belt.
Retsu stare at the jewel on the belt. The ball seemed to be calling to him... Without hesitation, Retsu put it on. When it's on his waist, it burns itself into Retsu's waist.
Retsu: AGH!
?: Now... Henshin...
Retsu:...Henshin!
You press the sides of the belt and Retsu body is encased in white armor with large red bug eyes.
Retsu: Wow...
Villain: Who are you?!
Retsu looked at his hands and clenched them.
Retsu: I...
Retsu confronts the villain.
Retsu: I'm a hero!
Villain: You will die!
Retsu ran towards the villain who launched a sludge whip at Retsu. Retsu jumped to avoid the sludge whip. He managed to dodge some but in the end some of the mud whips hit Retsu and sent him flying into the wall. Retsu tried to get up but still felt the pain.
What he saw next shocked Retsu, moment
he saw lzuku running straight towards the villain.
Izuku: Leave him alone!
Izuku threw his backpack at the villain and the accessory flew towards the villain and hit him in the eye again, buying him a moment.
Katsuki: Deku, what are you doing here?!
Katsuki shouted as lzuku ran towards Retsu and helped him up.
Retsu: Yes, what are you doing?! Get out of here before you get hurt!
Retsu shouted at him anxiously.
Izuku: No! I can't stand and watch you two die!
Villain: You annoying brat, I'll make sure you and your friends die quickly!
The villain shouted angrily swinging his arms at them as Rwtsu picked Izuku up and jumped out of the way before hitting they on the back as they fell to the ground.
The villain was ready to finish them off but Retsu took a kicking pose and flew towards the villain when Retsu's leg connected. This sends the villain flying into a wall and Retsu's armor disappears.
Izuku: Wait... Retsu?
Retsu: Hello...
Retsu just smiled while raising his thumb while Izuku was surprised to find out that the figure wearing white armor was his childhood friend.
This caught both of them off guard, the villain swung his arm towards the two. But as his arms got closer to them, All Might appeared in front of us and took the attack. We stood there shocked as, Retsu then quickly grabbed Katsuki's arm and pulled back.
All Might: DETROIT SMASH!
He shouted as he punched the villain causing him to blow up a large gust of wind around the area.
People cheer seeing the number one hero save the day again when the authorities show up and start cleaning up the mess. All Might is dealing with the press when the heroes scold lzuku for running to help, which I guess isn't a bad thing since the heroes were standing there. When he was ostracized, Katsuki and surprisingly received praise, Katsuki was praised by the heroes and got an offer to go to a certain agency.
Retsu on the other hand, was completely ignored. It seemed like no one noticed that he was the figure in white armor from earlier.
After today's event, Retsu and Izuku walked back home as the sun began to set.
Katsuki: Deku! Retsu!
The two heard a voice and turned around to see Katsuki running towards them and stopping in front of them while panting.
Retsu: What are you doing here?
Katsuki: Listen Retsu! Deku! I won't ask weaklings and quirkless people for help any time! Just because you two decided to help doesn't mean you can look down on me, you two didn't help, you didn't do anything!
He shouted angrily, glaring at Izuku and Retsu before turning and leaving.
Izuku: What was that about?
Retsu: Don't know. Let's go home, I'm already hungry!
Retsu said with a chuckle and took a few steps forward only to be scared shitless.
All Might: I'm here!
A cheering All Might appears in front of them scaring Retsu and Izuku.
Izuku: How did you escape the reporters?
All Might: I Am All Might! Hero Justi-!
He was interrupted when he exploded in a puff of smoke while returning to his emaciated form as blood flowed out of his mouth, scaring the two especially Retsu.
Retsu: Who are you!?
Retsu shouted while getting into a fighting stance until he was stopped by Izuku.
Izuku: He's All Might.
Retsu: What? Eehhh...?!
All Might and Izuku then explained everything about All Might's condition to Retsu. The black haired boy agreed to keep it a secret.
All Might: Sorry for the scare, but I came here to discuss your question today, if you don't tell me about your life story, and don't help right away, will be a useless bystander and just watching in the crowd.
All Might then turned his attention to Retsu where Retsu just smiled kindly at All Might.
All Might: I saw you change shape using Arcle earlier.
Retsu: Arcle?
All Might: Yes... the iron belt you use to transform. It was an item that was going to be added to the hero's museum but it was stolen by the sludge villain.
Retsu: I wore it and it somehow fused into my body and now I have this ability. I can also transform but I don't know how. I can't even get the belt to come back up. I am really, really sorry.
Retsu bowed to apologize to All Might.
All Might: I see... that's fine. If you successfully use Arcle, it means the item has chosen you as its new user.
All Might said which made Retsu relieved but he still didn't know how to use Arcle's powers properly.
All Might: While I don't know much about Arcle, I know someone who might be able to help you. Give me the address and he'll be right there!
Retsu nodded and gave All Might the address. All Might then turned his attention to Izuku.
All Might: Seeing your actions today, especially you young boys. When I saw a shy, quirkless young boys jump into danger to save a life, your actions inspired me to act.
He said as Izuku looked at him in shock.
All Might: And looking at what you did today, al I don't see a worthless, quirkless boy in front of me, I see a boy who could be a hero.
He said making Izuku startled and tears rolled down his cheeks, but these were tears of joy and what she said next would shock them even more.
All Might: I see a boy who can inherit my powers.
He added as the two froze and looked at him in confusion.
