The excitement and nerves collided among many other feelings inside Brady as he took his first advances deeper into the magical locomotive. Though he saw plenty of wizardry while collecting his supplies in Diagon Alley, Brady was still just as mesmerized each time something supernatural occurred around him. "I've never even known another wizard. How is it possible I share a bloodline with one of the greatest sorcerers to ever exist?" he wondered, feeling very fortunate. He couldn't help but wave his wand in front of him as he further explored the train. It didn't take long though, before the young wizard realized that wherever he walked, all conversations stopped around him as his peers began to stare. "Did he stick out that much already? Or did they know something that he didn't? " he pondered.
Brady only made it one car down before he came across a group of very pretty girls, all wearing the same yellow and black uniforms. Underneath their smirks and blushing faces emerged an all too clear, "It IS him! The descendent of Merlin is actually coming to Hogwarts!" Brady began to smile. He was a bit of a player at his old high school, and if witches were anything like the girls there, he felt he had a solid chance at making memorable first impressions.
"Hi ladies, I'm Brady!" the handsome young man said confidently. "Is this the train to Hogwarts or did that crash and now I'm surrounded by angels?" he asked with a smirk.
The girls giggled and became a visibly brighter red.
"I was wondering if you could help me with something?" he said.
One girl finally mustered the confidence to speak. "I'm S..Susan. Susan Bones" she said softly.
"He was talking to me!" sprang in a blonde from the back. "My name is Hannah! Hannah Abbott! It's so cool to meet you, Brady. You are all anybody ever talked about all summer long! What can I help you with? Would you like a tour of the castle later? I'll do whatever you want!!!" She exclaimed in a frenzy of excitement.
"Actually... I was hoping somebody could point me in the direction of a girl named Hermione?" said Brady.
Apparently that wasn't what Hannah wanted to hear, as the smile dissolved from her face. "Oh, most of the Gryffindors are two cars back," she continued, "but she's probably busy with her MULTIPLE boyfriends." The giggling of each girl told Brady they all felt some type of jealousy toward the Ten out of Ten witch.
Not wanting to completely lose his crowd, Brady smiled, "Thanks gals! If I find myself getting lost in the castle, can I count on you lot for a helping hand?" he asked.
"As long as you can handle us being a little bit naughty and maybe getting into some trouble." Hannah replied mischievously.
Brady played it cool and left them with a wink, but walking away could only think to himself, "Holy shit I might have actually died and gone to heaven. Fuck's sake I think I'm gonna like it here."
He continued into the next car, chest slightly puffed with his early gained confidence. Immediately he was met with the shrieks of a clearly upset female. "Give me my wand back, Malfoy!" he heard.
Her back was to him, and Brady saw the sneering face of a skinny blonde boy facing him. "Why don't you dig around in my pants until you find it, Granger!" he barked while grabbing at his crotch and laughing with some other kids in green. Brady wasn't one to stand around and watch while anybody is being mistreated. He immediately stepped in between them, finally noticing it was the girl he recognized to be Hermione Granger from the photograph Dumbledore had shown him.
Brady met her beautiful brown eyes. All of a sudden he felt this become personal. Turning back to Malfoy he says at a shout, "Hey Slim Shady! Don't you have gerbils to stick up your ass or something? Give it back before you get yourself hurt."
Malfoy is taken aback by this, but seems to register what Brady says before saying, "Oh look! It's Hogwarts' newest mudblood! Of course you stick up for this little muggle raised whore!"
Brady didn't falter. "Is that your attempt at racism?" he asked. "I grew up in an American high school, you're gonna have to do better than that!" he laughed. Taking a step closer he says, "But you aren't going to talk to her like that. Now this is your lance chance to hand her wand back, and apologize."
Malfoy seemed entertained. "And I suppose a filthy mudblood like yourself is going to make me?" he smirked. At this point he reached for his own wand.
Though Brady knew he wasn't quite ready for a magical duel, he had been in multiple street fights before. Grabbing Malfoy's wand hand with his left, Brady throws all of his weight into a clean right hook, catching the blondie clean on the mouth. The bully already wasn't coming back from the initial blow, but what Brady did next surprised even himself.
He continued to force Draco's robes over his head, and pulled him into a chokehold, demanding he give Hermione her wand back. Draco complies, not being able to breath, before being thrown face first against the wall by the heated young man. Brady then took the boy's own wand from him, and with a wind up like a softball pitcher, jammed it straight into the place where the sun doesn't shine. Straight through his boxers and all.
The scream could be heard throughout the entire train, and was followed by howling laughter from anybody not wearing a green robe. The blonde haired boy continued to shriek in pain as he hobbled out of the car, followed by his worthless crew.
Kids of all colored robes began to swarm Brady, all wanting to get to introduce themselves to the famed young wizard. Yes, he enjoyed all the early attention, but quickly his mind went back to the reason he acted as he did. He couldn't think of a much better first impression than sticking up for the girl he had been thinking about nonstop ever since he laid eyes on her. "That HAD to impress her, right?" he thought.
His suspicions were quickly confirmed upon looking down at Hermione's smiling face. Before he could say anything, the gorgeous witch had her arms wrapped around him, an embrace that Brady felt he could savor for hours on end. For the first time in his life, he felt like he was right where he needed to be.
