She knows it's a bad idea to this, she knows it's the worst idea, and yet she runs to see the corpse.
She needed to know. She needed to make sure it wasn't the girl from yesterday. Maybe it was an old body from another place that washed up on their beach by coincidence.
It's not the girl. It's definitely not the girl. Right?
She ran up towards the corpse that was being surrounded by curious people and pushed them aside to see. To confirm that it was just a stranger.
But it wasn't.
It was terrifying. The look of fear was still on the girl's face, her mouth wide open as if she was still screaming, her face was incredibly pale with no signs of life, her eyes wide open and not blinking.
She felt it come up her throat and turned away immediately. Kazuha vomited on the sand and everyone surrounding her yelled and screamed with disgust and walked away from her. It kept coming out and it wasn't stopping. The pain was intense, both mentally and physically. She could feel the tears falling on her cheeks and the cold sweat covering her body and face, her heart beating dangerously. One of the men who found the body held her hair up as she kept throwing up.
Would he do that if he knew she witnessed the girl's death? Would he help her if he knew she was covering up for the murderer of this girl? Would he help her if he knew she doubted her aunt and knew there was a possibility this girl was innocent?
That's all Kazuha could think about as he held her hair and patted her back. She was heaving and shaking. She knew she didn't deserve this man's sympathy.
She heard a loud crack and felt a new set of arms around her.
"Kazuha-chan, the Auror's have arrived. They apparated here as you can tell by the crack (sound). Come on let's go." Mikiko said gently and she slowly ushered Kazuha towards her, but Kazuha refused. She couldn't move. She was scared she was going to throw up again if she moved.
What was happening? She knew her aunt and uncle killed people, but she never witnessed it before. Now that she witnessed it and saw the dead body it shook her to her core. She could never imagine doing that to someone. Especially, someone who looked so innocent and helpless like that girl.
"Kazuha-chan, come now get up before the Aurors get suspicious!" Mikiko loudly whispered.
It was all too much, the corpse, the memories from yesterday, the guilt, the Aurors being here. Tears fell from her eyes before she could stop them. She can feel a huge knot in her throat. She wanted to scream, wanted to forget everything, and have everything go back to normal.
"Excuse me, Miss. We need you to leave the murder scene and wait with the others for questioning." She heard an Auror say. His voice was familiar, but she didn't know who it was.
She was still on her knees, unable to move. Her body was shaking, and tears were overflowing her face when she suddenly bent down and threw up all over again.
"Miss, you have to leave the scene you can't throw up near the corpse!" said the Auror again.
"Can't you see she's unwell?" Screamed Mikiko.
"Is something wrong, Kudo?" asked the other Auror. When he saw Kazuha's state, throwing up with a tear-stained face, he immediately went over to her and pulled her hair away from her face while rubbing her back.
He couldn't help but look at her softly, she looked so vulnerable, so weak, so broken. He's never seen her like that before. Every time he interacted with her, she was either bubbly and playful, or angry because of his relentless teasing, but never like this. And he had a feeling it wasn't just because she saw the corpse.
When she was done throwing up, he put his arms around her and helped her up, "Come on, let's take you away from the corpse."
Kazuha didn't have the energy to protest, so she went along with him with Mikiko walking right next to her.
'Don't help me. Please don't help me.' She kept thinking as she walked with Heiji's strong arms around her waist, 'I don't deserve your help. You wouldn't even look at me if you knew what happened.'
She looked up at him as they walked, looked at his strong jawline, and beautiful blue eyes, beautiful blue concerned eyes. Concern that she didn't deserve, concern that she should've had for that girl.
She turned her face that other way, too ashamed to look into his eyes.
She felt a lump in her throat, her chest tightening and, her cold and clammy body shaking. Her vision was getting blurry, and suddenly everything turned black.
-.-
She found herself in the hospital when she woke up. Thankfully, due to her family's standing in the wizarding society, she was able to have a private room where no one can see her losing her mind.
Her aunt was there, sitting on the couch that was beside her bed. But she knew the reason wasn't because she was worried about her, but rather she was angry with her. Furious would describe what she felt towards her better.
Kazuha looked at her with a cold uncaring face, but underneath it all she could feel her anxiety increasing and her heart racing. She could feel her muscle tensing as her body readied itself for another attack from her.
She knew why she was here. She made a huge scene on the beach and the Aurors are suspicious of her. Not to mention, that she was already arrested for what she did to the boys, and even though they didn't find any evidence on her, she knew that Auror Hattori knew that she did it but let it go for whatever reason he had.
In less than a week, she almost exposed her family.
"So, you're finally awake huh?" said her aunt as she stood up from the couch, "Do you know the mess you made Kazuha?"
Kazuha's facial expression didn't change. She looked at her aunt with so much coldness you could see icy flames in her eyes. It was her way of coping, almost a wall protecting her from her aunt, and not letting her see the vulnerability that lied beneath the icy cold wall.
"For years, no one was ever suspicious of us. For years, everything was kept a secret. But now, because of stupid little prank with the boys and your guilt-ridden reaction, you put us in danger!" Fujiko whispered in anger, her eyes flaring up.
"Well, what do you expect me to do? I saw her corpse; I saw you ki-"
Fujiko slapped Kazuha before she could finish her sentence.
Kazuha stared at the floor in shock, one hand on her red cheek. It wasn't the first time her aunt did that. But the feeling of rage, anger, and humiliation never leaves. Kazuha could feel her heart in her throat, can feel her blood boiling beneath her skin. Her body was shaking with rage as she looked up at Fujiko.
"You're a fucking psycho." Kazuha whispered in anger. She could feel her bed slightly shaking, her magic flaring up.
"What did you just say?" Fujiko said putting on a strong face, but Kazuha could see the slight fear beneath her eyes as she saw the furniture of the room shaking more intensely.
"I said you're a fucking psycho!" Kazuha screamed, her green eyes now glowing. The windows in her room shattered to pieces.
Fujiko yelped and took cover from the flying glass.
"Oh, you crazy spoiled brat!" Fujiko screamed at Kazuha, as she got up and was dusting off glass from her robe, "How dare you?!"
Kazuha didn't say anything, just stared at her with defiance.
"Now, I have to clean up after your mess like I always do." Fujiko said and waved her wand in one sweeping motion. The pieces of glass, big and small, re-formed themselves midair and flew back to its original place, making it seem like the window wasn't broken in the first place.
Knock, knock
Kazuha and her aunt, look to their right towards the door. It was most probably a nurse coming to check in after hearing the glass shattering.
Fujiko cleared her throat and straightened her posture before saying, "Come in," sounding calm and elegant, as if she didn't just slap Kazuha and yell at her a few seconds ago.
The nurse came in looking worried and looked around the room to check if anything happened. Finding nothing, she looked at Fujiko and said, "The Aurors are here, they would like to see Miss Kazuha."
Fujiko's eyebrows slightly twitched in annoyance, so slightly it wasn't noticeable for anyone but Kazuha who noticed the smallest change in her aunt's body language and facial expressions. A skill she got to predict her aunt's chaotic and abusive behavior.
"Please, let them in." Fujiko said with a polite smile on her face.
Kazuha felt her heart sink to her stomach, why would the Aurors come see her? Why couldn't they wait until after she was discharged from the hospital. Oh God, they were definitely suspicious of her, she was going to get caught. This time Auror Hattori and Auror Kudo won't let her get away with it. She was going to spend the rest of her life in jail. All of her dreams, her aspirations, all gone. Just like that.
Her aunt gave her a warning look, knowing that Kazuha was overthinking and anxious.
'Do not ruin this, do not let them see you nervous'.
Kazuha took a deep breath and fixed her posture. She became aware of every tiny muscle on her face. She needed to look calm, but tired. After all she was in the hospital because she fainted after throwing up twice. Looking healthy and energetic all of a sudden would be suspicious, not to mention, insensitive regarding they just found a dead body a few hours ago.
The Aurors came in. It was Auror Kudo and Auror Hattori, they were both looking serious and professional, they came here to interrogate her for sure. But Hattori, he looked a bit different, looked at her with concern. Probably because she passed out in front of him in the beach.
"Hello, Miss Toyama, Miss Fujiko." Auror Kudo and Hattori bowed politely as they greeted them, "We hope we're not intruding. We just came here for some light questioning. We questioned everyone that was on the beach where the dead body was found, Kazuha is the only person left." Kudo said.
"Oh, you're not intruding at all. Please, go ahead, and tell us if you need anything." Fujiko answered, smiling politely at the Aurors. She looked so calm and collected, not a single thing looked out of place. If Kazuha didn't see her kill the girl, she would've never guessed it was her aunt. Kazuha was weak, she was so weak compared to her aunt and uncle. She really needed to stop being such a crybaby.
"Are you doing okay now, Toyama-san?" Auror Hattori asked.
Kazuha looked up at Auror Hattori, surprised. He looked at her with such concern and worry. He...cared...?
"I'm better." She answered.
He didn't look like he believed her. He just kept staring at her with such intensity, it made her want to hide under the cover. The way he was looking at her, it was like he was trying to read her mind, trying to reach her soul.
She looked away, not able to handle it anymore. She was going to break if she kept looking into his eyes.
"That's good news." Auror Kudo said, "Well let's get right into it, we don't want to waste any of your time."
A small notebook and pen flew out of his pocket. The flying notebook opened a new page and the pen stationed itself in front of it, ready to write.
"Can you tell us everything you remember before and after the body was found?" Auror Kudo asked, the pen already writing down his question.
"Well, Mikiko told me there was a party in the back beach, so we went there to party with everyone else. We got some beer and watched as people danced, and when I went to get another beer bottle, I heard a scream. So, I ran to see what was happening and I saw the..." She couldn't continue anymore. She closed her eyes, trying to push out the image of the girl's dead body.
"Hmm," Auror Hattori said, with a scrutinizing look, "Toyama-san, where were you at 12:20 AM yesterday?"
Kazuha felt like she was going to throw up.
'Keep it cool, keep it cool. You didn't see anything; you didn't see anything. You are innocent.'
"I was at Mikiko's." Kazuha said, her voice shaking a little. Auror Hattori narrowed his eyes, immediately noticing her shaky voice.
"Are you sure?" Auror Kudo asked with one brow raised. He obviously wasn't convinced, only an idiot would be. "Let me remind you Toyama-san, that lying to Aurors during an interrogation is misdemeanor and you can be put in jail for it."
Yes, but less than a year, which is better than the punishment of being an accessory to a crime like murder. If she told them that she witnessed her aunt murder the girl, her family would be in ruins, and she would be jailed for much longer. Whereas, if she told them she was at Mikiko's, that's more believable, and she was sure that Mikiko covered for her and told them Kazuha was with her, because not only would she be protecting Kazuha, but Mikiko herself would not be considered a suspect because she would have an alibi.
Kazuha spoke with more confidence as she repeated her answer, "Yes, I'm sure. It was almost midnight when I went to the beach," she looked at Heiji as she said that "Then after I was done from swimming, I went to Mikiko's."
"Why did you go to her place to sleep over at midnight? Don't most sleepovers start earlier?" Auror Hattori asked.
"Mikiko and I are like sisters, she can come over anytime she wants and the same goes for me." Kazuha said.
"You didn't answer my question, Toyama-san." Hattori said sharply.
"What are you trying to insinuate Auror Hattori?" Kazuha asked harshly, her temper was starting to rise. She didn't know where she got the audacity to get angry, especially when she was the one in the wrong, but she was thankful for it because her anxiousness was going to destroy her. She would rather be angry, "If you don't believe me, go ask Mikiko herself! I was with her at that time. Now, if you don't have any further questions, I would like to ask you to leave."
Auror Hattori took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. Kazuha could see him clenching his fist and jaw, his famous temper obviously flaring.
Taking notice of that, Auror Kudo said, "Well, thank you for answering our questions. We will be leaving now. Please, let us know if you see or hear anything suspicious."
"Of course." Said Fujiko. The Aurors just nodded, the pen and paper that were writing everything down, went back to Auror Kudo's pocket and the Aurors were on their way to the door.
"What's her name?" Kazuha asked loudly, in order to get their attention before they left.
Heiji looked back at her, "Hana Tanaka."
-.-
"Her story matches her friend Mikiko's, but there's something off. She was clearly nervous and hiding something." Shinichi said as he looked through his notes.
After questioning Kazuha, Heiji and Shinichi went back to the Auror office in the ministry to investigate as well as wait for the magical autopsy of the corpse. Usually, it took a couple of hours so it shouldn't be that long, it could come any minute now.
"She has a clear alibi, so we can't even ask to search her wand for spells." Shinichi continued. He looked across his desk to see why his best friend wasn't replying considering he's the one talking his ears off most of the time.
Heiji was in deep thought, thinking about what happened in the hospital and replaying the scene over and over again. Something was off, and it wasn't just the way Kazuha was acting. He could sense strong magic when he first entered the room, so thick in the air it was almost suffocating. And Kazuha, she was very tense, she was angry, he felt it. Just moments before they entered her room, he felt a flash of anger that wasn't his. This wasn't the first time that this happened to him, feeling emotions that wasn't his, and he knew it was because of his soulmate and the bond between them. But now knowing that those feelings were Kazuha's... It felt unreal. His mind still can't process the fact that it was Kazuha. Kazuha was his soulmate.
Not only that, but throughout the years, when he felt those strong emotions, he rarely felt happiness, it was mostly rage, anger, sadness, and severe loneliness. How can a bubbly, cheerful girl like Kazuha have those feelings?
Also, her hands. Kazuha's were twitching the whole time. She didn't seem like she noticed it, but it didn't seem like it was normal. It was almost like her nerves went haywire. He saw this happen before, but he didn't remember when exactly...
And her aunt... There is something off about her too. She didn't seem nervous at all, she was very calm and collected, which was a stark contrast to Kazuha.
"You know what's weird Kudo?" Heiji said, "Not once did her aunt ask about the Tanaka-san. Usually, people ask about the victim, who is she? What happened to her? How did this happen? This murder would normally rattle a mother, make her worry about this happening to her daughter or someone else, but no. She seemed very calm, too calm. And Kazuha too nervous. There's clearly something going on."
"Now that you mention, that is weird." Shinichi said, his fingers under his chin, "Also, did you notice Toyama-sans hands? It reminded me of when Aia's hands were twitching after she was attacked with the cruciatus curse."
"That's it! That's what it was! Do you think she was threatened or tortured not to say anything?" Heiji exclaimed, then he leaned back in his chair and sighed, "I don't know what's going on, I feel like I'm losing my mind. With this, then Jaakuna." He ran his fingers through his hair, "I need to talk to her one on one."
-.-
After Kazuha was discharged from the hospital, she immediately went to her room, not wanting to be near her aunt for one second more. She laid down on her soft queen-sized bed and blankly stared at the ceiling.
Hana Tanaka.
She kept repeating the name in her head.
Hana Tanaka, the muggle-born her aunt killed in self-defense. But still, she couldn't shake off the immense guilt. She couldn't talk herself out of it this time. She felt a storm of emotions, anger, guilt, sadness, helplessness. It was suffocating. Why was she guilty over this? It was frustrating her. This girl came with the intention to kill her family just because they were pureblood. She deserved this. She deserved to be tortured and killed. Right?
So why? Why does Kazuha feel this guilty?
Knock, Knock
Kazuha looked over at her bedroom window where the sound was coming from. It was Mikiko's owl using its beak which was holding a tiny piece of paper to knock on her window.
Kazuha swished her wand and the window opened letting in Mikiko's owl. The owl landed next to Kazuha looking at her with his wide eyes.
Kazuha took the note from the owl's peak and gently patted him before he flew out the window, going back to Mikiko.
Hey Kazuha,
I know you're not feeling well after everything. Akako Koizumi is hosting a sleepover just for the girls. Let's go together, we need the distraction.
Love,
Mikiko
She really did need the distraction. So, she went to her closet and picked out one of her favorite pajamas. A cute strawberry set. The fabric was soft and light, the top slightly cropped with spaghetti straps and dainty chest tie straps that slightly show her cleavage and her shorts flowy and airy, perfect for the summer (1).
She styled her hair into her usual ponytail with red ribbons and wore a black robe on top of her pjs.
She grabbed a small piece of paper and wrote a note to Matilda, who would probably come to clean her room, to tell her that she will be attending Akako Koizumi's sleepover, then apparated in front of Akako's mansion.
Akako's mansion is what you would imagine a dark witch's mansion to look like. Black, cold, deadly, and no life. The complete opposite of her family's mansion, which is funny considering her family are the ones that are actually dark. Akako was definitely morally ambiguous, but as far as Kazuha knows, she never killed a person in her life.
Before she could knock on the door, a small ugly-looking goblin opened, as if he sensed her presence. Kazuha shuddered at the look of that goblin.
Goblins are extremely clever and prideful, and don't like being treated as inferiors by wizards and witches, yet somehow Akako was able to let one of them work for her. She didn't want to know how...
"Ah, Kazuha-chan! You came!" Mikiko exclaimed as she saw Kazuha enter the mansion and hugged her tightly.
"Yes, I didn't want to be cooped up at home. I want to have fun! It's summer time, isn't it?" Kazuha said, as she hugged her back, then took off her robe. The goblin snapped his fingers, and the robe flew in the closet and hung itself.
"Come on, let's sit with the girls." Mikiko said, pulling Kazuha to the living room.
-.-
Heiji looked at his watch then picked up his suitcase seeing it's time to go home. He will be staying at his family's mansion on the Island tonight since the guys have some party there that he probably will need to shut down. He needed so loosen up a bit, especially because he has a feeling things will change and become a lot more serious and he won't be able to enjoy himself for a long time. He hasn't been able to anyway, especially after learning about Kazuha being his soulmate. But having a party, so soon after they found Hana Tanaka's dead body is insensitive.
He apparated to his penthouse first and got some clothes and change, then apparated in front of his family's mansion. Thankfully his parents are not there for a few days so he can stay there without having to deal with his father.
As he got settled in his room, an owl knocked on his bedroom window asking to be let in to deliver the letter it was holding with its feet. Heiji got up and opened the window and received the letter then opened it.
Hattori!
Change of plans! We won't have the party; we will sneak in the Akako's slumber party! There will be a lot of HOT chicks wearing pjs (hopefully sexy ones)! See you there!
Do these idiots forget that he's an Auror? It's true that Heiji tends to be the life of the party, but he still doesn't condone breaking the law.
He sighed then got changed into more casual clothes to the meeting place.
-.-
The girls sat on the living room floor in a circle with a rotating bottle right in the middle. The girls were playing the classic truth or dare but instead of the usual dangerous and illegal dares and scandalous truths, they played it safe since there were other witches amongst them that would get them in trouble if they do such things. One of them was Ooka Momiji sitting across Kazuha.
Why was she here anyway? None of these goody-two-shoe witches were invited to this slumber party, but somehow Suzuki Sonoko found out and she invited herself and every witch she knew. Kazuha was uncomfortable, she came to distract herself from pain and instead she got Momiji, the girl that walked with Heiji holding his arms this morning in the ministry. Ugh!
The bottle stopped, the tip facing Momiji and the bottom facing Kazuha.
"Truth or dare?" Kazuha asked with a harsh tone, she didn't mean to, but it just came out.
"Truth." Momiji answered with her usual higher-than-thou tone which irked Kazuha to no ends.
Kazuha leaned back and started thinking. What question should she ask her? What is she most curious about?
"Are you in a relationship with Hattori Heiji?"
Momiji's eyes widened slightly looking slightly surprised by her question before returning to her calm composure.
"Why do you ask?" Momiji asked Kazuha, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
"I'm the one asking the question, you answer with the truth." Kazuha said.
Momiji raised a brow and looked at Kazuha up and down not expecting this retort. She took a deep breath and kept her calm and elegant composure and said, "No, we are not in a relationship. However, don't be shocked if we do end up in one, after all we do have history together and Heiji-kun has a hard time resisting me." She covered her mouth as she giggled when saying the last sentence and Kazuha could feel her face twitching in anger, and sparks forming on her fingertips (2).
"Oh my god, I heard you guys lost your virginity to each other!" Sonoko exclaimed, "Is that true?"
Momiji smiled shyly and looked at the ground and said, "Yes, it's true."
"Aww that's so romantic." Said Sonoko's friend Ran Mouri.
Kazuha was frowning and could feel her anger rising higher and higher each time a girl said something, she felt as though she was about to explode.
"I heard his you-know-what is pretty big! Is that also true?" Akako brazenly asked, as if she's asking if his eyes were blue.
"THAT'S IT! YOU GIRLS ARE DISGUSTING!" Kazuha stood up, fireballs coming out of her hands.
So many girls shrieked and backed away, scared of getting burned as a result of Kazuha's rage.
Momiji narrowed her eyes suspiciously at Kazuha and said, "Why are you so angry Happa-chan? It's just girl gossip, is it your first time at a slumber party?"
"Happa-chan?!" Kazuha's fire grew stronger, "And this isn't gossip! I wouldn't appreciate men talking about my cup size!"
"I assure you they are, Kazuha-chan. If anything, that's all they talk about when it comes to girls." Akako said sneering, "So I don't see why you would be this angry, unless you have feeling for him. Do you?"
Kazuha's fire vanished as fast as her anger did that was replaced by embarrassment, "O-Of course not! I'm not in love with that stupid Auror!"
"Well then sit down and let's hear Momiji's answer." Akako said.
Mikiko held Kazuha's hand and slowly pulled her down.
Kazuha sat down and crossed her arms across her chest, her displeasure as clear as day.
"Ehm, going back to answering Akako's question, yes, it is very big, very." Momiji said, her cheeks blushing.
All the girls started screaming in excitement, "Oh my god I knew it!" One girl said. "Ugh! He is literally perfect! Tall, handsome, smart, athletic, AND A BIG ONE TOO!" The other girl screamed.
Kazuha couldn't handle it anymore and excused herself to the bathroom.
'How stupid are these girls?! God, I should stupefy them ALL!' Kazuha thought as she stood in front of the sink, 'Whatever, just ignore them. Take a deep breath, stay calm, don't show your emotions. Showing emotions is a sign of weakness. If auntie saw me now, she would be so disappointed.'
After taking a couple deep breaths and tried calming herself. Once she felt her heart rate go down, she stepped out of the bathroom and went back to the girls and sat down in her place.
"Where'd you go, Happa-chan?" Momiji mockingly asked.
"It's Kazuha." Kazuha corrected her while rolling her eyes, "I went to the bathroom."
Ran nervously laughed as she could feel the tension between the girls and said, "Let's continue playing."
"Yeah! I have so many questions and dares to ask! You girls aren't ready!" exclaimed Sonoko.
"Is that so?" Akako loved a challenge, "Well, let's s-,"
The sound of the living room window opening interrupted Akako. The girls looked behind them to see what was happening only to be shocked by a bunch of men trying to "sneak" in the house.
"Took you long enough." Akako said, "Things were about to get interesting; I didn't want you guys to miss it."
You could almost see the men's eyes into pink hearts as they looked at their queen Akako. Kazuha always felt eerie about the way men worship her. Even though Kazuha is a half-veela, she never tried using her veela magic to spell men around her, having them worship her, but Akako uses dark magic to have most men in the world be at her beck and call, almost like slaves.
Kazuha's body shuddered at the thought, it just felt too dystopian.
"See, Hattori! She wanted us to be here! It's not illegal!" One of the guys outside screamed.
Kazuha's eyes widened 'Hattori!'
Momiji covered her mouth and giggled, "Oh, Heiji-kun came? I don't know if he could handle seeing me in these pjs. He will probably drag me to the nearset room."
She was wearing baby pink silk dress that sheer fabric stitched on the top with feathers on the bottom like a cape (3).
Even at a slumber party she looked elegant. She always made Kazuha feel underdressed, but then again, all the girls were wearing pajamas so maybe she shouldn't feel so bad about the choice she made.
"Well, as long as it's not actually sneaking in, I'm not stopping you." Kazuha could hear his deep voice, as he followed the guys in and snuck through the window into the living room.
He climbs through the window and Kazuha could hear the girls sigh as they look at him.
"God, even when he's climbing through a window, he looks so good.", whispered one girl. Kazuha rolled her eyes. Are these girls ever not fangirling?
The moment he entered, their eyes met. He couldn't stop looking at Kazuha's eyes. Her big beautiful emerald eyes that keep sucking him in. My soulmate.
"Heiji-kun," Momiji called his name in a sultry voice, "Come sit next to me." She patted the empty spot next to her on the ground.
"Um, okay..." Heiji said, obviously uncomfortable. He wanted to sit next to Kazuha, but she didn't have an empty spot next to her.
He realized that it wasn't so bad sitting next to Momiji after all, since Kazuha sat right across him.
He couldn't stop staring at her, with her revealing pajamas, her beautiful soft legs in full display, her cropped shirt slightly showing her stomach, her breasts slightly revealed but not so much. Her cheeks flushed from his unwavering attention. It was such a tease, cute and sexy. Very Kazuha.
Unbeknownst to Heiji, Akako noticed the way he was looking at her, and so did everyone else. She saw the way Momiji was practically glaring at Kazuha, and suddenly she remembered the way Kazuha reacted when Momiji was speaking about Heiji.
'Oh, we've got ourselves love rivals here. But what on earth is Kazuha doing with an Auror. Regardless, I think it'll be fun to mess with these girls.' Akako thought.
"Now that the boys have settled down, and we are all here, why don't we play 7 minutes in heaven?" Akako suggested.
Everyone got excited and were eager to play the game, but Kazuha and Mikiko. This wasn't what they expected at all.
"Well, since most of you agree, let me bring my random chooser." Akako said, then she swished her wand, and a feathered plastic arrow came flying in, "This random chooser will choose two people, then these two people will go to the closet and stay there for 7 minutes doing whatever they want." She winked as she said that.
The mens' excitement went through the roof, and they started praying they would get picked to go with Akako.
Heiji, not being affected by Akako's spell, felt nervous. He didn't know what would happen if he got trapped in the closet with Momiji. Even if it was for 7 minutes, with Momiji it would feel like 7 days.
The arrow started flying around the group, going around them one by one. It finally slowed down in front of Momiji.
Heiji closed his eyes and took a deep breathe, 'Please no, please!'
"Alright then, the arrow has chosen Heiji first." Announced Sonoko.
"Wait what?!" Heiji's eyes shot open, and he saw the arrow right in front of him pointing at him. 'Oh God, that's even worse.' He thought.
Some girls started screaming with excitement, hoping the arrow would choose them next.
Kazuha could feel the anger and jealousy bubbling up. Why? Why on earth does she care about this stupid Auror? He can kiss and sleep with whoever he wants, why does it matter anyway?
'Whatever, it doesn't matter who he ends up with. Let's just hope it's not me. I don't want him to corner me in the closet and find out my aunt killed Hana Tanaka.'
The arrow started going around the group slowly, pointing on the girls that were sitting. Each time it slowed down next to a girl, you could hear their audible gasps and their excitement, only to be disappointed when the arrow flew away a second later.
Kazuha could feel her heart beating loudly, the anxiety bubbling inside her chest. The tension was so high it was suffocating. Why on earth is that arrow taking too long to choose?!
Finally, the arrow seemed to have chosen a person. The last person Kazuha wanted the arrow to choose, Momiji.
The arrow pointed at her, and Momiji squealed with happiness and grabbed Heiji's arm and pulled him closer her boobs squeezing him, "Oh, Heiji-kun! I'm looking forward for our 7 minutes in heaven. Although, I know that 7 minutes is never enough for us." She winked, causing Heiji to blush.
Heiji looked over at Kazuha and the arrow and almost sighed with relief as he said, "Actually Momiji, it won't be you that's going to join me." And he gestured towards the flying arrow.
"What?" Momiji looked at the arrow that was no longer pointing at her, but rather pointing at, "Kazuha?!"
