A\N: I've always had a fear of spiders and freak out whenever I see one, so I thought it'd make a good comfort Willicia oneshot. I'm sorry I've left this alone for a few months but after the week I've had, I'm taking it out on Willicia. I'm also rewatching The Good Wife.

Oneshot 20 title: Will and Alicia (spiders)

Oneshot 20 summary: Alicia's fear comes to the office two weeks after their break up.

Will is the only one who knows why she hates spiders, what they did to her in college, the pain they caused her, the grieve they bestowed on her. Peter, and the kids only know that she hates the insects, they don't know why, and they never will, not if she can help it.

It's been two weeks since she ended it with him, the day after Grace went missing, and every time she looks at him, it sends a stab of pain through her broken heart. She lied to her little brother: she was, is in love with her boss, and she was sure that her brother could tell. She's lonely without him. He's always been in her life, even when they didn't see each other for 15 years, her wedding was the last time she saw him in person, they kept in touch other phone calls and email and texts messages and gift exchanges. He sent presents to her when she had given birth to both Zach and Grace with the same note that said 'you did good, Leesh, I'm proud of you. Will.' and he'd sent her a bottle of wine just for her with each note.

They talked on the phone when they could and he loved to know about the kids and her, and even Peter who he hated. Will was the first person she called when she found out about Peter cheating on her with the prostitute on the news, she sobbed on the phone to him for over two hours and he comforted the kids as best he could and threatened to rip Peter apart limb by limb if they wanted him to, that got small smile out of the three heartbroken Florricks.

When they started their affair, she was scared but the minute he took her hand, all her fear vanished until she wasn't scared anymore. It was fun to have a secret that no one knew about, it was fun to be angry at him in front of people when behind closed doors she was being kissed and loved by the name partner with no one ever finding out.

She walks into the conference room and gives Will a small smile as she sits down at the table beside him, their fingers brush together, sending a bolt of electricity up her arm, she quickly turns away and focus's on Diane who's started the meeting.

She tunes out her boss, remembering when they had sex in his office at night, after everyone had left, until her ears catch the word 'spiders' She snaps her head up, her eyes wide, her face loosing colour as she looks at Will, fear in her eyes.

"Leesh, it'll be fine, I promise." Will is quickly to reassure her, she's shaking her head widely as she gets to her feet and leaves the office, just as the first onslaught of tears roll down her face as she heads into the elevator.

Will runs after Alicia, ignoring the eyes on him. He catches her just as the elevator doors close. Damn it. He thinks before hitting his knee. Now she'll never come back to work, not until the spiders are gone for good. He knows she's terrified of spiders after what happened at Georgetown, and it took him weeks to convince her to come back to classes and stop drinking after what happened to her in their first year of school..

He grabs his phone and messages her quickly as he calls another elevator. He has some idea of where she's going.

Alicia: I'm following you, Leesh, you can't hide from me and you know it.

He tucks his phone back into his suit pocket and climbs onto the elevator, pressing the button for the roof, where he knows his ex-lover is headed. His phone bleeps twice in his pocket and he takes it out, looking at the two messages displayed on the screen.

Diane: What the hell happened with Alicia? Oh never mind, just calm her down and get back here.

Alicia: While I can try and hide, I know you'll find me so come find me, Will.

Will doesn't reply to either of their texts, he just steps off the elevator that takes him to the roof. He walks up the stairs and opens the door that gives him access to the roof and smile faintly when he sees Alicia staring out at the Chicago skyline.

He walks up to her and places a hand on her back, looking at her, to alert her to his presence. Tears are running down her face. He sighs as he removes his hand from her back and pulls her into his arms.

"It'll be fine, I promise you, they won't hurt you again. You have my word on that." He says into her hair, she shakes her head as she tucks her head into the crook of his neck, exhaling softly.

"You knew what happened in college, Will. You know why I'm terrified of them." Will nods his head.

"I know, and I know you miss her, I do too." Will tells her. He pulls away from her and looks at her.

"You can work from home until they're gone, I'll bring you what you need and you can come to court. It'll be fine, Leesh, I promise." He says as he leads her off the roof.

They're silent as they ride the elevator down to the 28th floor. Will grabs her hand and leads her back into the conference room but instead of sitting in her vacated chair, she sits on his lap, not caring what it looks like to everyone else around her, and Will and Diane don't say anything.

"Diane, Alicia is going be working from home until the spiders are gone." Will tells his partner who only nods. "Of course, just let us know what I can do." She says. Alicia nods her head.

The meeting adjourns and she waits in the conference room while Will collects her stuff. He comes back in less than five minutes. He hands her her coat and she puts it on, holding her hand out for her purse which he hands to her.

"You gonna be okay getting home?" He asks her, she nods. Will smiles and lets her go. "Call me if you need me please." He says, she nods again and leaves the conference room, feeling Will's eyes on her as she leaves his eyesight.
