Tubby's Notes:
Name: Lynette
Occupation: Performer and House of the Hearth Agent
Profile: Kuudere. She's a shy, easily overwhelmed introvert. Initially, I believed the life of a performer ill-suits her. However, I have learned that introverts have exceptional focus, concentration, and commitment to their craft. She belongs on the stage.
Polite enough. Clever, but not as much as Miko. She's a skilled warrior, but not on the level of Dehya, Jean, Ei or Shenhe. I would say her true battle prowess comes from her deft deceptions. A magician always keeps people guessing.
Her kuudure tendencies make it seem unlikely she will cause problems in the UHA. However, her connection to the Fatui, especially to a Harbinger, concerns me a bit. Tartaglia was a handful already, picking fights with everyone in the Teapot. I can't imagine handling another one like him. Then again, her "Father" is actually a woman. I imagine I'll be seeing her in the Teapot soon enough. I'd better have a word with that woman, so she knows better than to cause any mischief.
Anyways, Lynette has different modes depending on the situation. She prefers standby mode when inactive and talking mode whenever she must socialize. Her ideal date is spending a whole day in standby mode with no obligations or distractions. So, I don't think she'll organize many … parties like Yae Miko. However, I hesitate to say that this alone makes her wholesome. She is part animal after all. If Miko is any proof, humans with animal traits can become very horny. Keep an eye on Lynette just in case.
Despite her rough upbringing, she's a (mostly) well-adjusted young woman. There's one thing about her that I can't for the life of me understand. Why is she a cat girl when her brother isn't a cat boy? Super weird.
This was the life. All alone on a beach, getting fanned by her shirtless boyfriend while sipping on some sunsettia lemonade. Lynette couldn't be happier. She closed her eyes and basked in that sun.
Lapping waves were the loudest sound here. No fans begging for autographs, no publicity tours, and no missions for Father. Just a beach towel, a parasol, some snacks, and her Aether.
Lynette yawned contentedly. She loved being in standby mode.
Although, she did worry this wasn't fair to Aether. The poor man couldn't be having much fun just sitting here pampering her.
"Are you really okay with this?" She asked.
"Honestly, Lynette, I'm happy to see you happy."
"But… isn't dating supposed to be … a two way street? That's what Noelle said at least."
Aether shook his head amusedly. "Using my own words against me. Well, what do you want to do for me?"
Lynette frowned. She'd hoped Aether would have a few ideas for her. Now she had to figure out what he wanted? Lynette switched into thinking mode.
A performance? Perhaps, but … maybe not. She could make love to him. Aether didn't make any secret how much he liked her body. Except, sex only offered a temporary high. She wanted to give him something that he could cherish.
"Lynette?"
She realized how long she'd been silent.
"Sorry. I'm in thinking mode."
Aether smiled patiently.
What did he want? To find his sister, but she couldn't help him there.
Perhaps she should narrow the scope of the question. What could he want from her? What could she give him that no one else could?
She couldn't think of a thing. Compared to Ningguang, her riches were sorely lacking. Dehya or Ei could grant him some sparring. Lisa and Yae Miko had their figures. What did she have?
Lynette really wasn't sure.
At that moment, Aether cupped her chin.
"May I kiss you?"
Lynette blinked. Would that make him happy? Just kissing? She nodded.
Aether's lips found hers. He pressed against her bottom lip. His finger stroking the length of her cheek.
They parted. He wore a big smile. Lynette did too.
They settled into a cozy cuddle session. Yes, this was the life. No responsibilities, no people, just him and her. She let all those troubling thoughts float away.
