Medical Lessons

November 4, 2023; HOK...

Troy looked around the area for Freefall, turning a corner before seeing the Medical wing and Freefall at the desk writing down in a book.

Troy: OI! FREEFALL.

Freefall looked up, smiling upon seeing the Saint Fan.

Freefall: Troy your early, not suppose to come in till later for our lesson.

Troy: *walks in* Thought I come in early and do some research. *looks at the book* Hey, isn't that what K-9 was sick with a few weeks ago? Werenous?

Freefall: *small smile* Yeah, just updating with there being a cure now. Will say with the recent updates I'm thinking of starting to research the other illnesses to see if we can find cures.

Troy: That's a good idea...*facepalms* We forgot about the status screen, we could of used that to find K-9-

Freefall: Hey it's okay, it's still a new system so when we're in a panic or surprised state we forget. Remember Sonar's little um...little Mermaid Fiasco.

Troy covered his mouth from laughing, as much as it had it's worrisome moments the reactions the Rusherz made with everyone was funny...especially K-9's name for the situation.

Troy: Oh yeah, i remember that day. Peg-Leg was determined and K-9 was a huge help alongside Swagger. -sighs- Miss that dog.

Freefall: Same here, along with Turf...*looks at other pages* But those puppers are on the rainbow bridge having all the fun they can running those endless fields.

Troy smiled as he looked at the pages...then froze stopping Freefall from closing the book.

Freefall: *concern* Troy, is everything okay?

Troy: *looks closely*...Freefall, what's Gravital Blockage? A-And when did you start writing this?

Freefall eyes widen in realization, taking a breath as he lead Troy to a chair and sat him down.

Freefall: K-9, Blow-Torch, Scavenger, Fang, Beast and Swoop we're still on adrenaline when they talk with you guys...it's not the first time we dealt with a serious medical situation from our planet.

Troy: You mean...with what's on the first page was the first?

Freefall: *nods* Yes..you guys are old enough to know, but do you remember the footnotes we gave you on what happened back in the 2014 season.

Troy: *remembers* You mean what happened with Talon? *nods* Yeah I remember that day, me and Stamps went to a university to look at that aura stone. Why?

Freefall:...You have no idea how much you helped us that day as well. Talon was suffering from an infection none of us knew existed..till we all found out.

Troy face fell into more worry as Freefall brought a chair over, sitting down as well.

Freefall: The reason Matt and Arthur kept you kids away from the room Talon was in was because...he tried to remove the infection using his powers on his arm and, it got messy.

Troy: Messy...you mean he got hurt?

Freefall: Yeah.

Troy: I'm confused a bit here, what does it have anything to do with me?

Freefall: Well, that aura gem you found...CAME FROM HIS VEINS FROM THE WOUND HE HIMSELF RIPPED IT OPEN.

..At that moment Troy got up, giving the 'BRB' signal before walking out of the room.

Freefall: *bit loud*...Yeah, Fang emptied his stomach too. Take your time.

Troy's voice: THANK YOU.

Troy returned soon after taking a breath as he sat down.

Troy: *pale*...Okay, so, HAD NO IDEA ABOUT THAT. *cringe* OH I CAN'T BELIEVE HE DID THAT.

Freefall: Yeah see why we wanted to wait on that especially with you.

Troy: *pale* I do not blame you. So, what happened after that? Know Matt and Mr. Blank found his journal and there's what me and Stamps did, and me and the others heard it wasn't Zatu from the bits and pieces we got.

Freefall: That where i need to refer to Talon's journal. We found out that an infection decimated the Falcon Rusher population, not Lord Zatu. Took them out one by one with Talon being a survivor. Course Lord Zatu was angry that he didn't get the Falcons, so he lied to keep his ego and fear of him up.

Troy: Figures he would lie about that. I suppose Balen knows given when Soar came out to tell us we saw Talon talking to Balen.

Freefall: *nods* Yeah. It's bad enough that he slaughtered our kind, but to lie about being the one to take out an entire populous just to boost his powers..Needless to say he was disgusted that his uncle would lie about that just to boost his ego.

Troy: Do not blame him...But, Talon's okay now. Freefall: Yeah.

Troy: How did you do it? And what caused this infection.

Freefall: Well, the infection involved the hardening of a mix of blood/aura in his bloodstream that would of eventually lead to his death; But thanks to both mine and yours, Stampede and the Dean's research in the medical field we found out just in time. But the solution once we had everything in order...-shivers- Oh I am thankful Swoop helped.

Troy: It has to do with Talon being gauze up, cause he just had that wound on his arm no way it was just that.

Freefall: *small chuckle* AND this is why your the investigator of the team. Yep and the solution was..well-

Troy stopped him fast, pale but still having some calmness.

Troy: *pale* Don't tell me, you had to do a full body surgery on him to take out every single one of those.

Freefall paled remembering that surgery, nodding.

Freefall: *pale* From the heart to the veins. Took hours to get them all out and months for him to recover.

Troy: *pale* YIKES. *calms himself* Dude, that must of been eshuating.

Freefall: It was, basically passed out on my bed till the next. It was during all of our researching that i started this book, deciding to put all of our aliments and infections in there for future reference.

Troy smiled softly, nodding.

Troy: Think that's a great idea to do. Thanks for telling me this Freefall, and i can completely understand why you waited to tell us when we were older.

Freefall smiled, closing the book with a sigh.

Freefall: Of course. I still got alot to write down, been using pencil for this reason with updates.

Freefall got up, stretching as he and Troy walked out.

Troy: With that in mind your going to tell the others?

Freefall: Yeah. Was hoping to tell you all today during the lesson, but your beat the others to the punch.

Troy: Least you are better prepared for when you tell them, besides it's good to have another hand on explaining and calming them with what you told me.

Freefall's smile grew as they walked down the halls.

Freefall: Thanks Troy...not just for the help but with what happened that day again.

Troy: *warm smile* Just happy he's okay now Freefall.

Freefall smiled warm as they walked down the halls.

Talon was watching and listening from afar, a smile on his face. He clutched his chest where the heart is, feeling the fabric and his beating heart.

Talon:...Thank you, all of you.

With that Talon went off to do his duties for the day with a smile.
